• Unable to access the Smart View 11.1.2.5.216 in Outlook 2007

  All,

  I uninstalled Smart View 11.1.1.3.x of my MS Windows 7 (x 32) Professional SP1 machine and installed Smart View 11.1.2.5.216 during the same session (that is to say, without having to reboot).

  While SmartView arrives perfectly fine when I access Excel, Word and PowerPoint and I can connect to the 11.1.2.3.00 EMP data sources, I don't see the Ribbon of Smart View under MS Outlook. This is in spite of:

  -After changing my MS Office 2007 installation to run Visual Basic Scripting Support on my PC for MS Outlook 2007 only (i.e., via Control Panel > programs and features > MS Office Standard 2007 > change > add or remove components);

  -remove the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hyperion Solutions and that underlie the subkeys, after uninstalling 11.1.1.3 and before installing 11.1.2.5.216

  There is no disabled COM add-ins displayed in MS Outlook 2007 and there is no other entries related to Hyperion (IE, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Hyperion.CommonAddin) to amend\delete under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\AddIns. Also, I searched but could not find the Smart View PST file on my machine.

  Has anyone any suggestions as to where else I could be looking or what else I could do to activate the smart display in MS Outlook 2007?

• Connectivity issue Smart View RA framework

  Hi all

  We have enabled SSL in our env using port 443.  When connecting in Smart mode to access the framwork RA using the active ssl link https://servername/raframework/browse/listXML , its does not display anything.  But when we use the non-active ssl link http://servername:19000 / raframework/browse/listXML, it displays reports.  When you check the RaFramework_BrowseServlet.log log file in the path of E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\RaFramework0\logs, we can see the error message below

  java.io.FileNotFoundException: answer: 404: not found ' URL: ' http://sername/epmstatic/wspace/SmartView/version.XML '

• Install the Smart View for 32 and 64 bit machines

  We have Smart View installed in different folders based on 32- bit (C: \Program Files\SmartView) vs 64-bit C: \Program Files (x 86)-SmartView, by the standards of our society.  We have a part of the road, and users to share workbooks.  Inside of the worksheets are functions.  The problem is that if a person saves the workbook on 32-bit for the 64-bit person, it does not, and vice versa, different paths for the.  Has anyone met her before and if so, how you have solved the problem?

  We solved this by creating a work around.  We have developed an installer in silent mode SV which is C:\Program Files (x 86) \SmartView hard coded in the path.  If the C:\Program Files (x 86) does not exist, the program creates it, and then runs the installation.

• Anyone using Smart View 9.3.1 with Hyperion Version 11.1.2?

  We have improved our environment, planning, Essbase, Shared Services EAS Hyperion 9.3.1 and 11.1.2 financial information however, is it possible to always use SmartView 9.3.1 to connect to the new version of essbase and workspace. We use the connection essbase for ad hoc reporting and the connection of the workspace to run the reports that must be run on several excellent tabs (can not export from the workspace to several tabs).
  
  I wanted to check first before you try, because I have not found anything which has addressed this particular issue on the forums.

• Smart View 11.1.2.3 Hyperion option settings

  I was responsible for getting a configuration of automatic installation for Hyperion for a good part of our billing service. I'm looking for a way to change the options (in Excel) we need within the Hyperion. I checked the registry, the directory program files and appdata folders and I can't for the life of find me where these settings are stored. If anyone of you thin people know where that might be? Thanks for your time!

• Several oddities about 11.1.2 - Smart View does not connect to earlier versions

  In the test I tried to apply the Smart View on Excel 2007 11.1.2 and connect to our planning 9.3.1. I'm trying to any service provider (Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Reporting Forms) I get a message saying 'you are trying to connect to an older server.
  
  then nothing, no connection, a gel, then he returned to the login window.

  I think with the first version of 11.1.2 all products must be on 11.1.2 it goes is not compatible with all other versions.

• Display the member name and the alias in Smart view

  Hi gurus,
  
  I have a request from ASO (version 11.1.2.1) where the dimensions of the customer and the provider have names and alias names. Member name field contains the customer number (vendor number) and alias contains the full name. Now, I created a query using the query designer where I selected the "Member name and description" option in the Option Member Smart View menu in Excel. But, while I fetch data from the query, the system only returns the alias name and alias name + not a member name.
  
  Can you please how can I get both? The Smart View User guide says that "Member name and description" displays the full qualified names and descriptions (alias).

• Issue of Smart View?

  Our users report recently that Excel freezes when trying to copy and paste the value of the cell with enable Smart View, the steps they do are the following:

  Open the model smart display of Excel and then click on Control Panel, sharing connection, and then connect to essbase base, ad-hoc analysis.

  then control - C any cell in this model, Excel becomes frozen, they close Excel and restart.

  If Smart view does not activate, then Ctrl C and P control works well.

  Have someone in the Group has a similar question, I hate to blame Smart view for this. We have 11.1.2.5.500 the Smart view, Essbase version is 11.1.2.4

  Is the issue with this model/file?  What happens if the user is using a white sheet excel and did the same steps?

  If its this sheet only, check the display options smart for anything that seems unusual. You can also clear the metadata in the workbook, it could clear up what ever is causing the problem.  to do this, open the template, click Smart View-> Info-> Delete Sheet-> remove all metadata

  I have a strange problem with users receiving the Smart View Timeout error.  In a connection planning, executing business rules, some users automatically receive a message "request timed" out with instructions to "extend the parameters of «ReceiveTimeout, KeepAliveTimeout and ServerInfoTimeout.»»

  I studied this problem online for a solution and has confirmed that the following Windows registry settings are at stake:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/InternetSettings

  KeepAliveTimeout 720000

  ReceiveTimeout 720000

  ServerInfoTimeout 720000

  Note that these settings are not present in:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/InternetSettings

  720000 = 12 minutes.  However, users get this message to approx. 30 seconds in the rule.

  I have the same registry settings on my computer, running the same business through the same connection of planning rules, and yet I don't receive time-out errors.

  Am I missing a setting somewhere?  Time-out settings must be in HKEY_CURRENT_USER instead of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE?

  Yes. These parameters must be created in the registry "HKEY_CURRENT_USER". That fixed the problem for me when I fell on the same subject.

  I use the standalone 11.1.1.3 HFM. I have connected to the HFM application via the smart view and trying to extract the data. But I get "published" in the cell instead of the data. Alos I put the NOData/MissingLabel # 0. I don't know if I need to change anything in HFM application.

  Please could you help me how to display data in the cell.

  Hello

  Go to view - Options - smartview tab tab. In the State of the cell, select the data rather than managing the process.
