  The first parameter that you send to setItem() must be a linear list that
  Specifies the 'path' to the element you want to disable.
  If the first item in your menu has a submenu with 3 items in it and you
  to turn off the second item in this submenu, you would use:
  Sprite (20) .setItem ([1, 2], [#enabled: 0])
  If "main menu" has 6 points and the third has a submenu with 2 parts in stock
  and you want to disable the first in this submenu, you would use:
  Sprite (20) .setItem ([5, 1], [#enabled: 0])

• Impossible to disable sound notifications

  Hello

  Disabling notifications "Login Skype" and 'Skype Logout' does not work; Skype continues to notify me whenever a contact connects, or back. It became exasperating, as I have no interest to be interrupted every time a contact joins/leaves.

  I looked at Options-> Notifications-> Skype Login and unchecked "enable the event".

  I also tried using a white/null/empty .wav without result file.

  OS: Linux Mint 15 (Ubuntu 13.04)

  Skype: 4.2.0.11

  Any suggestions?

  I thought also of Skype Login/Logout items have associated signature contacts, but follow the applicable elements. "Contact online" and "Contact went offline.

  Try to follow the steps below:

  1. Connect to the Skype app.
  2. Click the Skype (menu) icon located in the lower left corner of the application window.
  3. Select Options...
  4. Click the Notifications tab.
  5. In the list, select the Contact came online.
  6. Uncheck Activate event and Play Sound File (below).
  7. Select the Contact went offline.
  8. Uncheck Activate event and Play Sound File (below).
  9. Click on the apply button.

• Safari 9: Impossible to disable private browsing

  Hello! I really need help. I wanted to remove private on my 9 Safari browsing and I found a lot of posts, websites and discussions on the withdrawal of private browsing, and above all, that's what I found:

  1. go to the folder applications in the Finder

  2. right click (with a mighty mouse mouse or mouse button 2 buttons, or Ctrl + click to the mouse) on safari and choose "Show Package Contents".

  3. navigate to the content, then resources, then English.lproj folder (or a respective folder for the language that you may have)

  4. double click on MainMenu.nib in interface builder open

  5. look at the window with the menu safari, click on Safari to expand it, and then click the private browsing menu item.

  6. press the DELETE key and it disappears!

  7. Press command + s for save, close the interface generator if you want and restart safari.

  So, I followed the steps up to the 4th, while I noticed there is no MainMenu.nib in my English.lproj. So, with that, I couldn't do anything. I tried to open the other s MainMenu.nib French, German, etc., but all were just pictures and had no REAL content. I really need help with that. I was about to uninstall Safari, but as I use El Capitan I couldn't, I then noticed that on El Capitan, you can not remove Safari. Please do help me.

  [NOTE] Most reason why I want to disable private browsing is any form of explicit results that is not suitable for certain ages. Until it came across my mind enables SafeSearch for private browsing, but because when you close a private window all cookies are removed, the SafeSearch option does not save (in which I wanted it).   It says I can use SafeSearch on windows private if I enable cookies from third party. I couldn't find a way to do it, so if you are unable to resolve the first issue, please do help me with this one if you can.

  It seems you are trying to restrict what sites are available in Safari and tried to do it by removing the private browsing. Mac OS X El Capitan provides some features that allow you to limit the access that your child's Web sites and others. Strong information to look it over to accomplish all of this can be found in the following Knowledge Base article:

  OS X El Capitan: set up parental controls

  As a parent, you want your kids to have a safe and happy experience on the Mac. Using parental controls preferences, you can manage, control and monitor the time of your children on the Mac, the Web sites they visit and the people they chat with.

  Set parental control

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Parental controls.

     Note: When you open parental controls Preferences, if you see the message "There is no user to manage accounts", see Add a managed user.

  2. Click on the lock icon to unlock, then enter an administrator name and password.

  3. Select a user, and then click enable Parental control.

  If the user is not in the list, click on the button Add , then enter the information of account name and password to create a new user.

  All restrictions

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Parental controls.

  • Others: Block using the dictation, access to the printer settings and burning CDs and DVDs. hide profanity in the dictionary and other sources. Prevents the Dock to be modified. Provide a simplified view of the Mac desktop computer.

To remove an item, select it, then click on the button Delete .

• Impossible to disable the column "Preview" in the Finder Windows

  Before that I describe this problem, I just want to clarify that I have configured Finder to always open folders in a new window, and while some of my files are put into mode icon that the majority is set to display in the list.

  Following an upgrade to Yosemite to El Capitan, some of my Finder list view windows began to show the column "Preview" on the side of the far right, after the date modified column. I don't like this feature because when none of the folders or items are selected it shows just a ugly "blank" space in the window. So, I quickly discovered that I can disable this "Preview" column by selecting "hide the Preview" in the view menu.

  The problem is that once I chose this, in many of my files change does not stick. After a reboot or a restart, I'll go back to the window and the preview column is again. Sometimes it happens immediately after closing the window and opening it again. The worst culprit is my user folder.

  I tried selecting "Hide Preview" and then enter the display options and set as the default view for all Finder Windows, but this makes no difference.

  Anyone know how to disable the overview at all times column in all the windows in the Finder?

  I would like to disable Secure Boot, but do not have the ability to do this in my bios.

  My BIOS is the JAS_710 ROM with v 7.10.

  with the exception of having an element of Boot Configuration secure (from Figure 1 - Menu of security).

  Anyone has any experience to turn it off without this configuration item?

  I am not sure you have Secure Boot in the BIOS.  I don't find reference to it in one of the guides.  The computer came originally with Win 7.

  I use Windows XP Professional and I recently downloaded Internet Explorer 8. After I downloaded it, all my applications are grouped into a single point on the right side of the taskbar without worrying whether or not they were similar (Word, Outlook, etc.).   Try to disable it by following these steps.
   
  a. click on the button 'start '.
   
  b. Select the option "run".
   
  c. type 'GPEDIT. MSC"and press ENTER.
   
  d. navigate to the folder User Configuration -> administrative models -> Start Menu and taskbar.
   
  e. in the right pane, double-click the option "prevent grouping of items in the taskbar.
   
  f. change the setting to "Disable".
   
  g. click the button 'Apply', then press 'OK '.
