Impossible to disconnect/users on a Vista OS HP laptop

Hello

We recently had someone leave our company, which has done its work using a computer HP vista laptop.

We try to disconnect from his account by using the function "change user", but while the process is running, we returned to the profile of the person even.
Essentially, we are unable to logout of the user's account, when we re - start the boot process, the end result is that we are we made return to the profile of this person with no alternative.
Is it a software problem in the design of the operating system or if the previous owner may set up a personal security setting?

Please could you tell us about a cure?

Cointre

you see error messages?

have you tried to make a new user?

make a new user to the ADMINISTRATOR and the newspaper (this case the user still works)

in the new admin user Panel go to "users" in the control panel and delete the old user

If this does not help maybe user full administrator can help

to activate open CMD as administrator and type this

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

Now try changing the user and you will find

from there, you can delete the old account and create a new

If you want to disable the administrator account open CMD as Administrator "next to the administrator account" and type this

NET user administrator / active: No.

If not this aid "these methods will fail if the user function does not work", then you may need to perform a system restore

    Hello

    1. What is the exact error message you get?

    2. where exactly you download the fix from?

I recommend to download the path from the link below and check.

Alternatively, you can try to install the patch in a clean boot state and check.

    Clean boot:

This could happen if one of the substantive programmes is in conflict with the proper functioning of your computer. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

You must have a copy of Windows XP, which is no longer made or sold. If you can find one, you can buy it.
Then you have to reformat your computer and install it instead of vista, ensuring that your computer is capable of running, and the manufacturer of the computer has all the necessary drivers.

  • EBS 11i: how to disconnect users who are web server and not yet on forms

    Hi all

I would like to know how we can disconnect users that are web server and server not yet on the forms.
What we do is the following:
Adapcctl.sh for the 1-stop web server stop
2-change AppsLocalLogin.jsp to a static page that say we are in maintenance
3 - start web server adapcctl.sh start to ensure that users can see maintenance page

The problem is users finding themselves in the web server (first page) but who have not yet open forms pages can still access the app after the point number 3-

Is there a solution for this problem? Do know us what users are on the web server, but not in the forms?

    Thanks in advance.

Since you have posted this question in the forum 'Technology - OA framework', I assumed that we are talking about only jsp pages.

  • PC can see and access the laptop without asking for a user name and password but the laptop cannot access the PC because it asks me a username and password that I don't know.

Vista - Windows 7 network connection. username and password is unknown.

    Hello

I just got a laptop with windows 7 on it and I want to connect to my other PC for it, they are on the same network through a router. the PC can see and access the laptop without asking for a user name and password but the laptop cannot access the PC because it asks me a username and password that I don't know.

If someone could answer this question, it would be great.

    Hello
    Maybe this can help.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_name.jpg

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

    ------------------------------

If your network consists only of Win 7 and you want a simple network, use it.

After you have configured the homegroup, scroll to the bottom for the Permission/security section.

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

When you have finished the configuration of the system, it is recommended to restart everything the router and all computers involved.

    -------------

If you have authorization and security problems, check the following settings.

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is to Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/permission-security.jpg

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

    * Note . The groups and users listed in the screen-shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    * Note . There must be specific users. All means all users who already have an account now as users. This does not mean everyone who feel they would like to connect.

*** Note. Some of the processes described above are made sake not for Windows, but to compensate for different routers and how their firmware works and stores information about computers that are networked.

  • Need help to reinstall Vista on my laptop

I had to remove Windows Vista from my laptop that I forgot my password.
I tried to re - install windows from the disk I got with my laptop, but I have problems because it won't pass through two phase II.

Could someone tell me the problem or tell me how I can get a new copy of the disc.

What problem do you have exactly?
You are not able to boot from the disk?
    Is the disk damage?

  • Migration to Vista from another laptop

I had a200-23u with vista home pro is installed and many other software. Then I had gave him another man, but before, I had made the disk image, which includes vista also.

Now, I bought with vista home pro a200-23u too. I know that the oem versions can not be copied to another pc, even if the custom be used on an 'old'. But my situation is a little different, I think. If I copy a disc to hard disk image, it would replace currently installed vista with vista from this laptop. But I guess, they are equal, so the question is: is it legal to enter this key vista mobile newly bought to feel because it's in a new laptop?

The reason why I don't want to use installed vista is the need to reinstall all software and configuration.

In my opinion you can do. With your laptop, you have also bought a license for own use.
Do it and save time for the configuration of the OS.

  • How can I transfer files from my old pc sony Vista for my laptop new HP 17-j003

How can I transfer files from my old sony pc running vista for my laptop new HP 17-j003 Windows 8

Welcome to the HP, Roodie forum.

There is an easy way to do it using Microsoft Windows Easy Transfer :

Transfer files and settings from another PC

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you do not want to transfer files using the easy transfer method, you can manually make the copy.

    1. You can connect the systems on the same network,
    2. Define the folders that contain your data transfer to 'Share' on the network
    3. Map the drive on your new Vista computer system network
    4. Copy the data you want to transfer

    On the Vista Machine:

    • Open a Windows Explorer window,
    • Right click on the folder that contains the data you want to 'share' (transfer)
    • Click Properties > share > share and follow the instructions to allow the folder to be shared on the network

    On the Machine Windows 8:

    • Windows key (opens the start screen) > anywhere type 'computer' >
    • Click on "computer" to open the "Computer" File Explorer window >
    • Click map network drive and follow the instructions to map the drive

Don't forget: If your account name is different on the Vista computer, you will need to click on "Sign in using different credentials" and then enter the name of the account on the Vista computer AND the password for this account.

You can do this with the upper or lower level folders folder level - as long as the folder is shared, you should have general access to the data it contains.

There are cases where you will not end up being "owner" of the data transferred - you will have to perhaps enter and adjust the property for files / folders after they are copied to the computer of Windows 8.
