Impossible to establish vpn site to site between asa 5505 5510 year
Hi all experts
We are now plan to form an IPSec VPN tunnel from site to site between ASA 5505 (ASA Version 8.4) and ASA 5510 (ASA Version 8.0) but failed, would you please show me how to establish? A reference guide?
Hugo
Here are the links to the guides-cisco config:
http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/configuration/guide/site2sit.html
http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa84/configuration/guide/vpn_site2site.html
In addition to VPN, you need to consider in NAT exemption:

Impossible to establish VPN Site to Site
Hi guys, please guide me in the right direction. Had difficulty getting VPN Comms for weeks now. State of VMware Support all well on their side and my guy of networking in the field say the same thing.
I should mention that we did with success of VPN to AWS and Azure from the same site on Prem.
I can't establish an East / West comms, no not even ICMP between VCC on prem and AIR nodes. but has been able to set up Internet with virtual machines in vCA (North/South)
My VPN status on edge gateway services is RED (no access) but activated. I checked the settings on our other clouds that work, and the config looks the same.
Things I go back on >
* Peer IP > when setting this up, vCA says "If the peer is NAT would be, this must be the public side address NAT.»
* Local end point > IP listed in the config file is listed as FREE under bridge details, why would it be free if it is assigned to the VPN session?
* Makes the following two actions, when you look at Masters edge gateways? Re-apply a Configuration of Service and redeploy? I want to reset my edge session, do not drop the settings.
As the I understand, I won't need any particular rule of SNAT to be able to do a ping on VCC prem nodes / or upstream? is that correct?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's reflecting well on the AIR, whereas the AWS and Azure worked the 1st time.
He ends up being the 3rd party business networking that has implemented the ASA on Prem. Almost doubted vCA :-)

VPN SITE-TO-SITE BETWEEN ASA 5505 ASN 5510 DISORDERS
Hello everyone, I have a problem with my vpn between two ASAs, I will review the configuration of the two devices running, but I couldn't see anything out of the normal.
As you can see in the image, that the VPN is upward, but in the ASA 5510 I bytes of Rx (ZERO), I tried to config ASAs yet but I have the same problem, I don't know what I can do, please help me...
Hello
You should make sure that
- Remote ends of NAT configurations are correct
- NAT0 or another type of translation is not configured
- A NAT rule is the substitution of the rule that you have configured for the VPN L2L?
- Make sure that you have allowed the circulation/connection you are trying
- VPN traffic is allowed to bypass the 'external' ACL interface on the remote end or the traffic should be allowed in the 'outer' interface ACL?
- Make sure that the remote host responds to the same type of its local network connection attempt before trying the same thing from a remote location through VPN L2L
- If a tested service does not work, try another. For example ICMP is not always the best thing to test connections.
Can you also give us additional context information.
- This VPN L2L worked, or did it stop working at some point?
- I assume that you have administrator access to two ASA? Can you perhaps share some configurations
- What kind of connections you attempt by the L2L VPN?
- TCP/UDP/ICMP?
- IP source and destination?
- You monitor the newspapers of the SAA through the ASDM on the other end? The device at the remote end which does not send anything back on the L2L VPN connection.
And as a last post a very common configuration that is absent of configurations of ASA during the test with ICMP
Make sure you two ASAs have below "icmp inspect" configured
Policy-map global_policy
class inspection_default
inspect the icmp
-Jouni
- Remote ends of NAT configurations are correct

I'm trying to implement a VPN site link to site between the ASA5510 we use exclusively as a VPN endpoint on campus and a D-Link DIR130 router off campus, to a local company with a dynamically assigned IP address. We currently use the ASA to remote access users who use the Cisco VPN client on mobile devices, as well as a link to site-to-site unique in our telecommunications provider for the purposes of remote monitoring telecoms equipment.
We are looking for a way to deploy at a lower cost of VPN connections for local businesses to allow them to use the devices for sale which connect to systems on campus, so students can use their meal in local restaurants cards, similar to the way they use them in the cafeteria on campus.
I have experience setting up Cisco switches, routers and APs, but ASA appliance absolutely baffles me. I futzed with the AMPS 6.4 config autour gui and tried to match the configurations between the DIR130 and the ASA, but I can never get a VPN to come. Anyone who can point me to an example, or provide me with help on this would be appreciated. I have google searched and found very little, with my limited experience in setting up ASA, I ask to my script.
You must configure the static route on the 6509 for 192.168.5.0/24 to ASA inside the interface:
IP route 192.168.5.0 255.255.255.0 131.162.160.2
Assuming that 131.162.160.1 is your 6509

I purchased Mikrotik hardware devices and want to use routeros seat firewall cisco asa establish VPN. Aims to establish that a branch may be two IPSEC VPN access devices at the headquarters of the server via the public network.
But now, I'm having some trouble, so I have cisco asa branches and headquarters to establish successful ipsec vpn.
(1) branch routeros WAN port using a private IP address and is a member of the asa above outdoor sound created vpn ipsec, vpn successfully established internal servers and I ping the switch at the headquarters of the branch. However, there is a problem, I go through routeros visit that the headquarters of the https server pages can not be opened, telnet internal switches can telnet to the top, but were unable to penetrate into the character.
(2) in addition, I left the branch routeros on a public IP address WAN port and asa VPN IPSEC created seat, said problems above are not, the server can also be accessed, telnet switch can also enter text and control.
At the present time, I have encountered this problem of interface not CAN not because I need to create of very, very many industries and the need to establish headquarters communications branch offices so I have to use private IP addresses to access the Wan, unable to do wan are public IP address and headquarters to establish IPSEC VPN.now, I can't telnet asa inside the cisco router and open the web inside https, I can't solve the problems.

I've been struggling with this problem for a while know...
I made so many changes, I'm afraid, I have things to my config, I really need...
But in any case here's how I'm trying to implement...
- Information the seat...
static ip 111.111.111.111 address

STATICE ip 333.333.333.333
the IP address of the inside of 192.168.30.0 - 192.168.30.24 of network devices
I think that once I get a vpn set up for a desktop remote added offices 3, 4 and 5 should / would be the same. Just a matter of change/addition of the different IP offices.
I used the VPN Wizard to try to set up the vpn for office #2 and #3... then it wouldn't work so I found some stuff line cmd on the cisco Web site, so I tried which... It seemed to work a little better, but still missing something...

Hello
Some changes you need to do:
The ACL applied to the card encryption should specify the local LAN.
So, you should not have a line like this:
permit access ip host 111.111.111.111 extended list outside_cryptomap_3 222.222.222.222
Because with the foregoing, you say you want that traffic is encrypted between these two IP addresses.
You do not want the tunnel established between these two addresses, but you want traffic encrypted between the local networks at both ends.In addition, you have the same traffic defined for two different tunnels.
outside_1_cryptomap to access extended list ip 192.168.20.0 allow 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0
outside_cryptomap_2 to access extended list ip 192.168.20.0 allow 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0You can't have the remote 192.168.10.0/24 set to two different tunnels, given that the ASA will not know what tunnel to use to achieve 192.168.10.0/24
I would say to adjust your ACL and let us know if you have any questions.
It will be useful.
Federico.

How to establish a tunnel vpn ipsec using DNS with ASA 5505?
Hello
I m get a dynamic IP address public and what I m trying to do is establish a tunnnel remote vpn using IPSec, which I realize my provider but each time resets of sessions or ASA 5505 reset, I get a new public IP and I need to put the new IP address on the remote client, so I can establish the vpn...
How can I establish a vpn ipsec using DNS? For this scenario, the remote client vpn is a vpn phone, but it could be any vpn client.
Private private Public IP IP IP
PBX - Telephone (LAN) - ASA 5505-(Internet)-(router) Remote Site-(LAN) VPN-
Kind regards!
Ah ok I see, Yes in this case there is no that you can do other than request a static IP address from your ISP.
Kind regards.
PS: Don't forget to mark this question as answered. Thank you!

a public access remote vpn from an inside interface asa 5505
I'm trying to see if it is possible to accomplish what I am trying. I have an ASA 5505 with the following configuration.
1. There is an external connection, connected to the ISP. Let's say that it is 10.1.1.1/24 for ease. There is a remote VPN configuration as the access of people through this interface.
2. There's the inside network, which is the normal LAN. It's cable system in the office. to say that it is 172.20.0.1/24.
3. There is a wireless network on a VLAN separate called WLAN. It has an IP of 192.168.1.1/24. There is an ACL allowing traffic to that VLAN to the public internet.
Essentially, I would like users to be able to use the same VPN settings they use when connecting from outside of the Office when you are connected to WIFI.
Also, I would like that they can access public IP addresses that I have NAT would be to internal servers. In this way, they can use IP addresses when they use on the public internet.
Is this possible?
Hello
Well that's not going to be possible, the only thing you can really do is to activate the crypto map on the WLAN facing interface, by design, you cannot not access VPN, ping or manage the device on an interface which is not directly connected to you.
I hope this helps.

Remote IPSec VPN - client Windows 7 and ASA 5505
Hello
I'm having trouble with configuring IPSec VPN with Cisco ASA 5505 and Windows 7 client native VPN remotely. My client PC Gets the VPN IP pool address and can access a remote network behind ASA, but then I lose my internet connection. I read that this should be a problem with the split tunneling, but I did as it says here and no luck.
Windows VPN Client settings, if I uncheck "use default gateway on remote network" I have an internet connection (given that the customer is using a local gateway), but then I can't ping remote network.
In the log, I see the warnings of this type:
TCP connection of disassembly 256 for outside:192.168.150.1/49562 to outside:213.199.181.90/80 duration 0: 00:00 0 stream bytes is a loopback (cisco)
I have attached my configuration file (without configuring split tunneling, I tried). If you need additional newspapers, I'll send them right away.
Thank you for your help.
Petar Koraca
That's what you would have needed on versions 8.3 and earlier versions:
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface
Global 1 interface (outside)
NAT (outside) 1 192.168.150.0 255.255.255.0
However I see that you are running 8.4 so I think that all you need is this (I never did on 8.4 so it may not be accurate)
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface
network of the NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.150.0_24 object
dynamic NAT interface (outdoors, outdoor)
Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

!Hello
I quickly browsed your config and I could notice is
your game of transformation (iskamp) on SAA and router are not the same, try to configure the same on both sides.
in the statement of the ASA NAT you gave (any, any) try to give the name of the interface instead of a whole.

Site to site between ASA 8.2 VPN, cannot ping
Two 8.2 ASA is configured with a VPN tunnel from site to site, as shown in the diagram:
Clients on the inside network to the ASA cannot ping inside, network clients, else the ASA. Why not?

Each attempt to ping responds with "Request timed out" on the computer of ping.
Why clients cannot mutually ping on the VPN tunnel?
Hello
Create a NAT0 ACL at both ends.
ex: 10.30.0.0 ip access-list extended SHEEP 255.255.0.0 allow 10.45.0.0 255.255.0.0
NAT (inside) 0 access-list SHEEP

MS
Edit: at the beginning, I mentioned ACL #, it may not work.

I do not think that because of the incompatibility of encryption. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you
Nilesh
You have PFS (Perfect Forward Secrecy) configured on the ASA and not the router. This could be one of the reasons why the tunnel fails in Phase 2.
If you do not need a PFS, can you not make a 'no encryption card WAN_map 1 set pfs' the configuration of the ASA and make appear the tunnel.
Kind regards
Arul

AAA 'Broken' between ASA 5505 and MS - AD
I have my MS - AD for the VPN domain controller installation connection my ASA5505 AAA (SSL and client). He worked, however, the failure of the connection between the two last week and I can't back up again.
I checked the password, usernames, locations of object etc., but to no avail. When I do a test auth, it's 225 ldap debug output:
Starting a session [722]
[722] New request Session, framework 0xd4e225c8, reqType = 1
[722] fiber began
[722] LDAP context with uri = ldap://w.x.y.z:389
[722] to connect to the LDAP server: ldap://w.x.y.z:389, status = success
[722] supportedLDAPVersion: value = 3
[722] supportedLDAPVersion: value = 2
[722] binding as admin
[722] authentication Simple running to FirewallTest to w.x.y.z.
[722] simple authentication for FirewallTest returned the code of invalid credentials (49)
[722] impossible to link the administrator returned code-(1) can't contact the LDAP server
[722] output fiber Tx = 253 bytes of Rx = 583 bytes, status =-2
End of session [722]
I tried the fix 'remove and re-add' secular, but it did not work.
Any thoughts?
Have you checked the user account used to bind to the LDAP (AD) has not change its privileges, I remember that after application of a fix to an ad server most of the Admin accounts have been changed in local admin rather than domain administrator accounts.
Also, try to reset the password for this account and see if you have the correct connection-dn, get the "dsquery user-name"and compare it to your ASA.»
