Impossible to find 2 pass encoding to Adobe Media Encoder option

I'm using Premiere Pro CS3 on Windows XP. I would like to encode 2 pass, but cannot find the option in Adobe Media Encoder. I tried all the different export formats (H.264, FLV, etc.) but the option or menu is never displayed. I looked on all tabs. How can I specify encoding in 2 passes?

Hello

H.264 example export format

the sample preset... DV...

There is a "scroll bar" on the right side of your export contols for the menu options you can scroll down to see more settings... you will see your bitrate and vbr, cbr etc options out there

  • Where can I find a program uninstaller for Adobe Media Player?

Adobe Media Player is no longer supported, so I want to uninstall it, as well as all the associated files and extensions, but also be sure that no other program is accidentally uninstalled, and only the files related to Media Player app? My computer is a Mac Pro, my OS is 10.7.5, if that helps.

Before you proceed with the steps below, please mention the name and the version of Adobe installed on your Mac applications.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------

I see that suggests vacuuming App you mentioned in the Adobe Media Player to file Applications and preferences in the same basket.

    You can run it.

    or

Try to screw up the app in the Applications folder.

Also delete the related Adobe Media player from ~/Library/Preferences and Preferencespreferences.

Look for the Adobe Media Player related folders / files in ~/Library/application support or ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe.

Also check under System Library = / Library/application support or/Library/Application Support / Adobe.

Check under Cache folders under system so User Library.

    ~/Library/caches and/Library/Cache.

    ~/Library = the user library

    / Library = system library.

Steps to open the library folder.

    (1) right click on the Finder on dock icon and select the option "Go - To Folder."
    (2) you will get a text box, type in below mentioned command and then press 'return '. (Don't forget ~ symbol)

    ~/Library

It will open the library user.

Same procedure for the library system, but no ~ symbol, just/library.

  • Someone can explain two pass encoding and tell me why I would use it?

I'm a bit new to AE, been used only for about 1.4 years, but I realized about 200 videos (effects short clips).

I do not understand some things, and one of them is the two pass encoding option.

Clearly, there is a reason for this, but I did a search and I don't find much explain why I would use it.

Can someone help a relative beginner?

Two-pass encoding return forward, then backward. Codecs that use several rendering pass deliver video as a series of images complete with all the mixed data with the frames which contain only the best estimate including pixels change between full frames. The first pass a pretty good guess the partial images and then partial frames are compared with the original, once more control on both sides partial images to see if the best calculations can be done. This improves the accuracy of the calculations, reduces the data rate, smooth color and movement of objects and increases sharpness perceived in the stream. Quality is always better. Reading is easier on the CPU, because data are packaged in a more effective package for decoding. Made multiple takes longer to render the efficiency gains are in playback, the data rate and the perception perception of high quality video. I put rendering single-pass to a client.

I hope that explanation helps. It's like any other system to do mathematical projections. The more times and means more you look the more accurate data of the result.

  • Why can't find an adobe media encoder in creative cloud apps

I just bought more creative cloud and I found all the apps that I need except for media encoder - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

-Turn off the body and other applications using the-> Sign out (in this way you do not lose your license)

-Uninstall organization, AE, InDesign, and Flash Pro

-Run the CC cleaning tool (find it here: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html)

    -Reinstall the body.

Refer to: I am trying to download media encode 6 for creative cloud for teams? Not on the list of products.

Update of the muse do not delete (.muse) Web site files, I guess somehow open recent list does not appear.

I'm sure if you go to the place where your files are saved, you will be able to find them. In case you don't remember not the location and then search for the file with the extension .muse, search in windows Explorer (for windows) or the Finder, Spot (for MAC)

Double click on the file will open in Muse.

  • Cannot find "Add To Adobe Media Encoder Queue"

I just started in AE, and I have a pretty good understanding on this matter of all of the tutorials out there.

But I hate the native rendering system in AE, I prefer to use Media Encoder as I've been for Premiere Pro.

In the tutorials from Adobe, it says Comp > add Adobe Media... but I don't have this option still available. I use Adobe After affects CS6. This has not been removed in the CS6 was it?

This option only exists in the CC, not to the CS6.

  • Impossible to locate Adobe Media Encoder Vista (64-bit)

I'm unable to locate the SOUL in C: > Program Files (x 86) > Adobe > first Pro CS5.  This is the trial version, installed a week ago and had to reinstall because of a system restore, I had to do.  The last time that I installed it, there is a subfolder with a shortcut to the SOUL.   Now, I get a dead link labled Adobe Media Converter and when I click it, I get an error message 'file not found '.  Anyone here having the same problem?  I don't want to take the risk of buying a corrupted file.  Own tool Adobe does not detect anything.

  • script: Add to the adobe media encoder

    Hello guys!

Tout d’abord félicitations les nouveautés et le badass look d’After Effects. I really enjoy!

But I'm really disappointed to see that the function of rendering h264 has disappeared. Who really destroyed my workflow boom!

Because I have a lot of jobs for a show room, where I very often do 360 degree projection mappings and the overall resolution there are approximately 26 000 width px. What we do, because we're using watchout as reading system and the management of all the projectors, is splitting h264 movies to their maximum width resolution. The things is that for example for an event we have around 20 to 30 animations and 1 animation is divided into 6 movies... What we did usually - we wrote a little script that automatically splits the film in 6, dial before all, align them all and returns all videos with predefined parameters h264. So... my question is now... How can I modify my script and configure it to send all the comps pre composed, resized, aligned, new to Adobe Media Encoder and use a h264 predefined make the adjustment? I couldn't find any more info on the bridge between AE and Media Encoder script.

    See you soon,.

    Marin

PS: I know that we can use Final Cut Pro or Motion for resolution of the h264... but it's a kind of workflow I had used to work... everything happens in a single application... and no annoying hundred times save slot, not made in the form etc.

    Hello sailor,

It is true that it is a pain to manage outside EI h.264 encoding.  You can write a script that calls the app.executeCommand () function and passes the code that calls the "add to Adobe Media Encoder queue... "under menu Composition of AE.  OK, digital, code for this command is 3800.  So you would simply browse the comps you wanted and then open them in the main Viewer using the method. openInView() that brings them into focus for say.  Once it is open you can then send the SOUL model with app.executeCommand (3800).  On the side of the SOUL, you need a default template to render output parameters you want.  When your script adds a model to the queue of the SOUL, it will take these parameters.

Now, you could do all this, but have you seen AEmpeg than aescripts posted yesterday?  It allows you to 100s of codecs using ffmpeg right of AE.  While it costs money, at least it will open the door to a streamlined workflow and a variety of codecs you might need.

  • SOUL CC 2014: "Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue."

Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 on 'mid-2012' MacPro (MacPro5, 1) run OSX 10.9.3 and get this error when you try to launch Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014:

    Adobe Media Encoder error

Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue.

I uninstalled, reinstalled.  Authorities repeatedly checked and fixed.  Tried to delete all the plugins and who does not.  Also tried to modify text lists in the .app to OpenGL and CUDA remove all listed cards - who didn't quite fix either.

At this stage it is uninstalled, and "if all goes well" everything will point to CC (version non-2014).  Adobe Media Encoder CC works very well.  Adobe Media Encoder CS6 works very well.

Impossible to find all the other reports of this problem.

  • Adobe Media Encoder not using GPU at all for H.264 encoding

So I have a strange problem, it seems SOUL refuses to use the GPU for transcoding - I have a minute 9 4 k file I need to transcode and it takes more than an hour on a very fast machine. I tried other formats and files of that specific file and nothing does the GPU at all (using GPU - Z to monitor the load). Specifically trying to get DNxHR or DNxHD files in H.264 VBR 2 pass codec

    Machine: hex 3960K core i7 core cpu - GPU installed: ti 980 GTX / GTX 1080 - 64 GB RAM Win 10 64 pro

-First pro uses the GPU (actually 1080) for CUDA acceleration video

-J' tried to disable 1080 GTX in Nvidia with SOUL Panel (setting preference CUDA at 980ti, as I know, pascal is perhaps not compatible yet)

-J' original CC, no luck tried versions of SOUL

-J' tried transcoding other types of files in the case where this was a problem of specific file (animation, cineform, etc.) no luck

My gut tells me it's maybe a CUDA or OpenCL / OpenGL / DLL problem.

I had CUDA installed 8.0 for use with Octane render, but uninstalled and it makes no difference

maybe try a CUDA 7.0 installation? that would help? Any other suggestions?

    Hello tstopdigital420,

Is the GTX 980ti supported for H.264 encoding in Adobe Media Encoder or not? I thought I had read that it was, but maybe I'm wrong. IF not I'll talk accordingly.

Parenthesis - anyone knows of other software that supports rendering GPU accelerated by CUDA h.264?

I think you're under the false impression that the GPU speeds up encoding H.264 exports. It does not, but is a feature that is often requested.

Encoding is a process that focuses on the CPU in Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder. The GPU accelerates certain elements in the entire export process, but not the encoding itself.

The GPU will accelerate what follows in the export process: scaling, conversion of the image, blending modes, deinterlacing and color space conversion. The GPU will also speed up the processing of GPU based video effects, including the effect of color Lumetri.

    Example:

    • If you are encoding a file of 4K in a file of HEVC H.265 4 K, the GPU acceleration is not involved in the export process because no scaling has been used.
    • If you are encoding a file of 4K in a file, H.264 HD, GPU acceleration is involved in the export process, because the scale was necessary.

If your GPU is disabled or "grayed out" and he has capable specifications, then this is another problem of troubleshooting.

    Thank you
    Kevin

  • Cannot open preferences of Adobe Media Encoder

I have a problems with the encoding, so tried several relocations. Finally managed to do work by removing only not preferences on reinstall it. However, I am still unable to open the preferences. I'm going to Media Encoder CC > Preferences... and nothing happens. It's using the latest version of SOUL CC (2015.3) on Mac OS El Capitan (10.11.6). Everyone knows this?

    Hi Jayne,

You have an external monitor connected?

    Also, try the following steps:

    Go to the following locations:

1 location: In the Finder, click go > go to folder > ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

    Situation 2: Go > go to folder > ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe

    Location 3: Documents > Adobe

Everywhere, rename the folders 'Adobe' to 'OldAdobe '.

Launch Adobe Media Encoder, accept the license agreement and see if it works.

Note: You will lose your customized workspaces and keyboard shortcuts.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC2015.3 stuck in reading XMP

I'm really really frustrated with Adobe CC bugs.

I just formatted and reinstalled all (Adobe CC2015.3) on my new PC:

    -10 Windows

    -intel I7 - 6900K

    -128 GB DDR4 RAM

    -OS on a GB 512 m2

-Project files on two SSD RAID 0.

Now, when I send my soul and start the queue, SOUL rest hung on "reading XMP" for like an hour. After that, he moves and restores, but once the sequence is complete, it restarts to read XMP...

You do understand that I need to export 70 sequences (which take 5 minutes each) and I can't wait for this 100 hours just to read XMP SOUL!

I also tried the following in the SOUL: edition-> Preferences-> metadata-> set to none (no metadata export) all fields

    But it does not work.

I read ALL the threads on this subject, without finding any solution.

Please help me, I'm going to face a huge backlog that will make our customers very angry...

    Thank you

Hi, thanks for your answer! I just finished a call with the help of Adobe and we tried your suggestions with no result.

Moreover, after an hour of troubleshooting came us to this conclusion:

The problem may be related to the fact that this project was converted in to CC2015.2 under Windows 7 CC2015.3 in Windows 10. It is unclear why this is happening and it seems that there is no solution to this. They said that if I create a new project from scratch I shouldn't re-encounter this problem.

However, we found a working solution:

Put out the sequence you want to export, click on file > export > selection as a Premiere Pro project (I have the Italian version and I translated it here on the fly... not sure whether this is in fact the correct translation) and save some part of these projects.

Then, open the project just created, export the sequence on Adobe Media Encoder, click the game and this is! Loading XMP spend 1 hour to like 3-5 minutes (acceptable).

Well... it's a workaround, not a solution. But it works a little bit.

I'll let you know if I have other problems with new projects.
