  After starting without error black screen display problems indicating "start with vista or run diagnostics" etc. I did a full restore. A few problems with windows update which has finally been overcome themsevlves except 1. Service pack KB936330 continued to come as needing to be installed although the "installed updates watch it 8 times successfully installed.". When I try to reinstall Norton 360 I get error that it is not compatible because service pack 1 has not been installed. Run Microsoft Fixit and found the updates installed in different place and has been corrected, but problem persists.

  Thanks for your suggestions...  Under Program Files (C drive), I traced the supply of the software Norton 360 under "Setup my PC" and deleted these files.  However, looking at the Norton Removal tool seemed a trifle compkicated and may have caused other problems. So instead, I downloaded the FREE Avast internet security software on my Vista PC and no problem.  Also, prevoiusly, I had successfully installed VIPRE on my other two PC running XP., on a trial period of 15 days.    My idea is to keep things works fine without hassle.

  This error message indicates that the VBScript engine is not currently registered on the machine where the installation/uninstallation.

  I suggest saving the VBScript engine and then try again to install Norton Ghost 15. Follow these steps:

  1. run the command as a prompt administrator.

  2. Start Menu-> all programs-> Accessories.

  3. right click on command prompt and select run as administrator.

  If you use the 32-bit version of Windows:

  Type cd %windir%\system32 in the command prompt and press ENTER.

  If you are using the 64 bit version of Windows:

  Type cd %windir%\syswow64 in the command prompt and press ENTER.

  4. type regsvr32 vbscript.dll in the command prompt and press ENTER.

  Ahh I see - I was able to install an application that I compiled with the SDK 0.9.3 on the device without problem. However, I did use the newest blackberry SDK - deploy tool. so I recommend you download and install the latest SDK and use to install your file bar. do not worry about the recompilation, simply install the application via the blackberry-deploy tool in the new SDK.
