Impossible to move imported and embedded pdf

I have the pdf following what has been created with Wolfram Mathematica 8:

https://CDN.anonfiles.com/1350042951313.PDF

When I import into Adobe Illustrator (CS5.5 on mac), add him and tren try to move, I get the following error message:

'Impossible to move objects. The requested transformation would make some too big objects. "

If someone knows what could be the problem?

Thank you!

Try turning off the preview and zoom out as far as you can go.

Select all and look for stray points, masks, clipping and other things that could cause this.

  • Import and update PDF Export Preset

    Hey there again!

    I'm now trying to define a "Preset" for the PDF export process... it is based on the "high quality Print" (preset from the Adobe PDF list), and then I want to change the settings of "one or two".

    Changing one or two parameters is easy, I've done it already, but given that most of them is already defined by the "high quality Print" Preset, my idea was:

    1. Load the Preset 'high quality '.
    2. And after that, change the required parameters
    3. And then export to PDF, of course!

    How is that possible?

    Thank you very much!!

    Best regards.

    Hello

    There are basically two location of pdfExportPresets:

    app folder - "/ c/ProgramData/Adobe/Adobe%20PDF/Settings/presetName.joboptions".

    user folder - "~ / AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe%20PDF/Settings/presetName.joboptions".

    You are able to change those 2nd or duplication with those of 1st (copy of the app folder goes to the folder of the user).

    So step 1 is to reproduce some app preset at user folder (say, change your name)

    and call this copy one be changed by the script.

    To duplicate it using:

    currPreset = app.pdfExportPresets.item("[High Quality Print]").duplicate();
    currPreset.name = "myHResPreset";

    After this, you can change the 1st line of your script:

    myPDFExportPreset=app.pdfExportPresets.item("myHResPreset");

    and run your code

  • I'm trying to import a MP4 movie, select clips, then delete the rest.  I cannot import and may not know how to remove the rest after.  Any ideas?

    Selection of Clips from movies MP4, and then deleting the rest.

    It is not possible to cut media unwanted clips in an event.  I guess this is consistent with the principle of a non-destructive editor - the imported media raw is not editable.  If you want to use only small pieces of a long video, you need to split them into separate clips before import into FCP X.  This can be done for example using Quicktime Player.

  • First CC support subtitles with mpeg2, mpg, ts, import and export of embedded

    Using a sidecar file is not an option. This question is about the embedded subtitle files.

    Will be support Adobe first Creative cloud importation of closed captioned data already captioned mpg, ts files mpeg2 video, and it will support the export of mpg, ts, mpeg2 video with integrated subtitles? If they add this feature, do you know when? At least a rough estimate?

    I create content which broadcasts on DEMAND for cable TV providers and we are currently working with legend Mac / Caption Maker and Manzanita to caption each video individually. We need to take the final version subtitled content and sometimes cut out sections and replace with other finalized captioned content. We wanted to do this without the need of re-under-titrating videos after we export first, which adds a lot of overtime work by video.

    Research online I found that CC supports import and export of integrated QuickTime closed captioned file. The standards of our suppliers are mpg/ts. A video youtube I found said that Adobe has been adding mpeg2/ts support for closed captioning, but I can't find any official word on the subject.

    I appreciate any help/information on the subject.

    Regarding embedded subtitles, Premiere Pro currently supports the import to and the export to QuickTime and MXF files. I know, on the side of the MXF support includes MXF OP1a, and I'm sure to extend to DNXHD MXF OP1a.

  • Help with excel import and delete the page script

    Hello. I will try to make it as simple as possible. I have some data from excel (saved as delimited by tabs) that I need to import in a 5 PDF page. I use the script below to import, and it works fine. All import fields and records the individual (one for each record) PDF. However, I need to extend this functionality by removing some pages before it saves the document by looking at the different boxes. The code below is what I use to import the records.

    // specify the filename of the data file
    var fileName = "/Users/MacMike/Desktop/Test.txt";  // the tab delimited text file containing the data
    var outputDir = "/Users/MacMike/Desktop/Dump/";    // make sure this ends with a '/'

    var err = 0;
    var idx = 0;
    while (err == 0) {
        err = this.importTextData(fileName, idx);    // imports the next record

        if (err == -1)
            app.alert("Error: Cannot Open File");
        else if (err == -2)
            app.alert("Error: Cannot Load Data");
        else if (err == 1)
            app.alert("Warning: Missing Data");
        else if (err == 2)
            app.alert("Warning: User Cancelled Row Select");
        else if (err == 3)
            app.alert("Warning: User Cancelled File Select");
        else if (err == 0) {
            this.saveAs(outputDir + this.getField("Full Name (First Last)").value + "-" + this.getField("Event Title").value + ".pdf"); // saves the file
            idx++;
        }
    }

    As I said before you import works surprisingly well.

    My PDF consists of 5 pages (info-registration, p1 = Dir-contract = p0, p2 = contract ndarp-brand, p3 = takes-contract, p4 = agreement must be brand). My idea is that on the import of data, the script will look at a few check boxes and determine which contracts to remove on the PDF and then save. I wrote the syntax of which, in my view, what it should look like. I'm not a programmer and know just a little bit. I looked through the documentation and this is what I came with. I don't know how to combine to work. Here's the code I came up with that.

    var dir = this.getField("Associate Director"); // checkbox
    var aldir = this.getField("Alumni Director"); // checkbox

    var fac = this.getField("Facilitator"); // checkbox
    var alfac = this.getField("Alumni Facilitator"); // checkbox

    var oyb = this.getField("Optimize Your Brain"); //checkbox
    var poyb = this.getField("DVD and Workbook Previously Purchased"); // checkbox

    // Below are all the possible training options.
    if (dir.value=="Checked" || aldir.value=="" || fac.value=="" || alfac.value=="" || oyb.value=="" || poyb.value=="") {
        this.deletePages({nStart:3, nEnd:4})
    }
    else if (dir.value=="" || aldir.value=="Checked" || fac.value=="" || alfac.value=="" || oyb.value=="" || poyb.value=="") {
        this.deletePages({nStart:3, nEnd:4})
    }

    else if (dir.value=="" || aldir.value=="" || fac.value=="Checked" || alfac.value=="" || oyb.value=="" || poyb.value=="") {
        this.deletePages({nStart:2, nEnd:4})
    }
    else if (dir.value=="" || aldir.value=="" || fac.value=="" || alfac.value=="Checked" || oyb.value=="" || poyb.value=="") {
        this.deletePages({nStart:2, nEnd:4})

    }
    else if (dir.value=="" || aldir.value=="Checked" || fac.value=="" || alfac.value=="" || oyb.value=="Checked" || poyb.value=="") {

    }

    How to combine these two so that I can create a document temp import my data, check the boxes to check off and delete the appropriate pages and save the file and then go to the next record? I got the first part done. It imports large and has the right, but I don't know what to do next. Thanks for any help!

    Or y at - it another way to do this?

    Michael

    Wow. Ok. I had it works beautifully. There was a lot of trial and error. Because the script as it was would have, would open the original PDF, delete the pages needed, then save the file. While it would be to go to the next record is missing pages in PDF and bomb to open. I hunted and searched for a way to do this. I found "this.insertPages" in the documentation. Finally, what worked was so move the "save under" in the service and put it under every variation of check. So now when checking the boxes, he performs the check, removes the mandatory pages, stops, insertions of back in deleted pages from the original file, leave the service and finally goes to the next record.

    Here is my final script:

    // This code looks at an excel (tab delimited) file, imports the records into a PDF form 10 Pages long.
    // Then checks a series of checkboxes and deletes the pages that aren't associated with first page.
    // After it deletes these pages it reinserts the deleted pages so it can do the checks for the next record in the (tab delimited) file.

    // variables for importing excel data
    var err = 0;
    var idx = 0;
    var fileName = "/Users/MacMike/Desktop/Test.txt"; // the tab delimited text
    var outputDir = "/Users/MacMike/Desktop/Dump/";    // make sure this ends with a '/'

    //Checking a bank of 6 checkboxes and determine which pages need to be deleted, save the file, and the insearch the deleted pages again.
    function seekandDestroy() {
        if (dir.value=="Checked" && aldir.value=="Off" && fac.value=="Off" && alfac.value=="Off" && oyb.value=="Off" && poyb.value=="Off") {
            this.deletePages({nStart:6, nEnd:9})
            this.saveAs(outputDir + this.getField("Full Name (First Last)").value + "-" + this.getField("Event Title").value + ".pdf")

  • Problem with the importation and storage of library

    I have sewing miss the logic in the import and storage of the photos in the library. This causes a situation that whenever I need a picture I need to go to C: and import it. My library is almost empty and I don't see how the images can be stored. In any case, this has created situations where I open the import window and I can see the pictures, but I can't access somehow? I get same messages telling me that there is that a dublicate somewhere, but where, remains a mystery. I am so set on logic in windows to manage and store files and which confuses me maybe? Is there a tutorial "how to import and store your images in Lightroom? Enlighten me about the logic of this.

    Thank you

    Lightroom is a database; not a file browser. A file Explorer "focuses on" your records, sees that the pictures are here and allows you to work with them. Lightroom does not. He knows only the photos that have been imported into Lightroom. Once the photo is imported into Lightroom, then Lightroom knows the location of the photo and it's metadata and you can perform tasks (such as editing on the photo). At no time does Lightroom contains your photo. At no time Lightroom stores your photo. But since it is not a file Explorer, if you move or rename or delete the photo outside of Lightroom, then Lightroom no longer knows where's the picture (it is not a file browser) and if the photo is reported as missing (it has a question mark icon) and you can no longer perform tasks on this photo.

    Therefore, once you import a photo in Lightroom, you must perform all the management of this photo of in Lightroom. This means do not move or rename or delete the photo in your operating system or another program. You will need to browse/search the photo in Lightroom, not your operating system. All the actions performed on the photo must be done in Lightroom.

    Why? A database allows you to organize in a way that is not possible (or possible but very difficult) to do in your operating system. The main tool of organization ensuring (in my opinion) by Lightroom's keywords. Keywords and other metadata (captions, titles, collections, etc.) give you the opportunity to organize in ways that folder organization cannot reach.

    In addition, Lightroom allows you to simplify your workflow (if you want). My workflow is very simple. In my workflow, there is no need to move photos from here to there, to reach the organization. A photo comes out a camera and is placed in a folder by default (by date of capture), and he never moves out of this folder again. Instead, I use the keywords and other metadata to enable me to quickly find my photos, and another advantage is that I don't no need to know the pictures are found in the folder. With 22000 photos, I just can't remember what they are stored in folders - it is a task that is impossible for me to do. However, I can find any photo quickly; for example, if the content of the photo is a skyscraper, I simply tell Lightroom to find all my photos that have the keyword "skyscraper" and Lightroom will find that almost instantly and I didn't even have to know which folder the file was in. It is difficult for me to imagine a simple workflow.

    Note: you can continue to use the files as a method of organization, you don't have to use keywords, but you must "respect the rules of Lightroom" and use Lightroom to move pictures from here to there, and you must use the methods of Lightroom to rename your photos; etc. And of course, if your organization only be made via the files and folders, you do not get profits of keywords and other metadata.

    Then, I suggest you do the following with your workflow:

    Import photos into Lightroom once and only once. After that, there are all the management of the pictures that have been imported into Lightroom. Photos should be assigned keywords as appropriate and enter captions, titles and other metadata. All the searching and browsing of photos that were imported should be made in Lightroom, preferably using keywords and other metadata.

  • stir and reuse pdf inside pdf

    Hello!

    Is it possible to embed a pdf file in another pdf file and reuse pdf files embedded several times?

    Just as you can reuse for example images or textblocks-> store once inside the pdf file reuse on different pages.

    To be more precise: I use iText to create a pdf file by using the concept of tattoo. Unique items are pdf files themselves. Now, I need to create multiple pages in a pdf file (each page is created by tattoo) and in several regions as a header is always needed on a page. So I would like to add this header only once and reuse it. The problem is that this header is not an xobject object but a pdf file...

    Thanks for your help!

    Kind regards

    Johannes

    Of course!  It's called a form XObject (ISO 32000-1, 8.10).  And in the case of blocks of text that can be reused, they are also stored in the same way.

    iText, like many other implementations, supports a concept 'imported page' which is in reality a form of XObject.

  • CD importing and organizing files

    Let me try this again...

    I've been going back through all my CD and re - import with better quality. I really hate the iTunes decided to organize my files. I don't I have a complaint about the iTunes Media > subfolders. I have a problem with iTunes is decide how organize the CD data itself.

    For example:

    I import the CD 'Something to remember' Madonna. ITunes has decided that some of the sounds "Feature" another artist that this is a CD of Various Artists and decides to locate files in iTunes Media > music > compilation > something to remember.

    This then forces me to go find the Album in iTunes and select "Get Info" and him saying that the "Album Artist" is Madonna. ITunes then decides with this selection that the best way to organize the data must move all except tracks 1, 2, 8 and 14 in iTunes Media > music > Madonna > something to remember.

    Now I have 2 sites with data from a CD (iTunes Media > music > compilation > something to be aware (for titles 1, 2, 8, 14) and iTunes Media > music > Madonna > something to remember (for the rest).)

    It is quite frustrating if you like to keep things organized!

    It wouldn't be that large agree if we could just manually move files and iTunes recognize where they are.

    I understand that I can change the XML file and change places, but it's a lot of work. It would be nice if Apple would just make things simpler for us in us giving the possibility to organize the files by hand, and give us a way to make the iTunes to update the library of files (or give us a way to specify things like artist or some way to force the system to keep a whole album rather divide.)

    Obviously I would prefer simply to allow to place the files where we want to and just tell iTunes to update itself with the locations.

    Am I missing something obvious?

    12.4 iTunes

    MBP MacOS 10.11 (El Capitan)

    iTunes is set up so that the user would not normally focus on the press kit at all.  Unless you have a reason to need to work with the media folder and then don't know how it's implemented. It is optimized for the use of iTunes.

    You can organize the media by hand. Go to iTunes > Preferences > advanced and remove the check mark next to 'organize' and ' copy to '.  Add in the future all media to iTunes will use the original file everywhere where it is and, within limits, will follow a file if you drag it somewhere else (never to another drive).  Note This can have other disadvantages such as iTunes, refusing in the future automatically fix broken links.  Also if you download the iCloud elements or on the iTunes Store they still always automatically placed in the standard folder structure but you can remove them.  You will have to ensure that the music is organized and the files have names that make sense for you.  If accidentally, you drag a file into a directory of obscure and name 45hg%4p.mp3 iTunes uses there.  Moving from the library to another drive can also be more complicated in the future, especially if you end up with files outside the iTunes folder.

    Editing the .xml has absolutely no effect on iTunes.  iTunes creates for other applications. iTunes uses the .itl file and only he can read.

    I would recommend if you go to start to manage the media yourself, you need to learn how iTunes works really.  You are at the point where if you don't know the .xml and .itl but you start managing your media you are entering the scene of the advanced user.

    On the iTunes library files - https://support.apple.com/HT201610 - does not mention that a complete library of work also includes other files and also files in the iTunes folder.

  • I need keystrokes to import and export bookmarks

    I'm blind and use programs output speech to run my windows 8.1 machine and of course impossible to use a traditional mouse. I arrow and tab through each accessible section of the menu of bookmarks, but also with key applications and could find no way that focuses on the key to the achievement of each task. I also tried her curse and swear!

    Hi Eggman,

    This seems incredibly frustrating. The following worked for me:

    1. launch Firefox and press Tab six times to access the bookmarks menu. Press ENTER.

    2. press Alt then arrow up once, and then the right arrow twice to reach the menu import and backup of bookmarks.

    Once you are in the menu import and backup, it's just a matter of selecting the desired option (import bookmarks HTML, export bookmarks in HTML format, or to import bookmarks from another browser).

    I hope that this will take you quite far as your program of speech output can guide you the rest of the way.

  • After downloading the 23.0.1 version I've lost all the history, but no bookmarks. How can I recover ancient history? Recovery of "import and backup" does not help

    My story memorable and kept going back quite a few months. After the release of Firefox for 23.0.1 I lost all my history and Firefox keeps only the websites visited once the new version has been installed. My favorites were selected. I tried to get back in "Import and backup", but it goes back only to the date of the new facility. I tried places.sqlite "Roaming", but there is only one with the current date. Is there a way to recover the lost history? Why Firefox was losing it? It's going to happen averytime that updates Firefox?

    Manually back up your bookmarks. If you have used the 'import', you have already lost some information by overwriting. As a matter of course you should always save current bookmarks manually before using any restorations.

    This way you can make sure you are able to restore the current set. Your backup .json file put a safe off-trail program or Firefox profile. The desktop of Windows or the removable media would be appropriate.

    Firefox creates a bookmark, but does nothing about backup history. Fortunately Windows probably backup previous versions of your files places.sqlite and this is the database with the history and bookmarks in it. See if you can recover a recent version of this, it will restore your story up to the date of the restored file.

    Then import your latest bookmarks from anywhere where they were rescued. Import replaces the slightly older bookmarks from the Windows file.

    You my wish also can install and run the addon places maintenance.

    That can be used to check and repair the places.sqlite database. It will give a brief report. Note If the places.sqlite runs out of space, he begins removing history.

    In the future you my wish to regularly create occasional backups of your profile or at least your places.sqlite

  • There is no "Import and backup" button in "show all bookmarks".

    I try to import bookmarks from an HTML file, using the isntructions to https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Importing%20Bookmarks%20from%20an%20HTML%20File?as=aaq#os=linux & browser = fx7

    I click on bookmarks-> show all bookmarks.

    The next step, said "from the toolbar in the library window, click on import and backup, and then Import Bookmarks in HTML... "

    However, I don't see anything that says "import and backup". I use Firefox 7.0.1 on Ubuntu/service Ocelot, recently updated.

    Ubuntu 11. XX shows the window menus in the control bar at the top of the screen with the switch to the window of the Unit Manager.

    Click bookmarks/view all bookmarks, and then move your mouse to the upper left corner to the Firefox Web browser.

    You will get a pop up menu (Organization, views and import and backup).
