  It's hard to explain, but I just installed a mapping program that installed fine.

  Problem is that the program requires insert the original disc whenever using the program.

  When I try, the program does not recognize the disc.

  When the same program is installed on a real PC it works fine. Of course, this is not my goal.

Until a person pick up, I give up, I don't know what else to do. He there was that the only time that cookies were gone pane show Cookies, every other time I have uninstalled/reinstalled anything, they were still there. So, until someone can help me, I'm stuck. The only thing I did is removed altogether-profile file. It's the last thing I want to do, unless I can save my favorites somewhere to return after reinstalling.   Little puzzle, this particular post was not the first in which I posted this question. However, it is the only one that I thought was actually posted on the forum. The first two attempts, I thought had not displayed. Today, there are all the posts with the same problem. • GarageBand 10.1.0 - cannot open files of the old version of Garageband in the new version - they are empty after the backup with the updated app!

  I use a MacBook Pro with OS X El Capitan. I just download GarageBand 10.1.0. When I try to open my existing GarageBand files in either a double click or single click and choosing 'open', I gives me only the possibility to 'save' the file. When I save the file, it appears in the list of files with a new icon, but when I open it, it is empty, rather than containing the recording I made and saved on my previous version of GarageBand.

  I'm afraid to keep trying to open and save it back etc., in which case it's clear files.
