Impossible to read a protected video player media with DRM update

Hi, I have sky and wanted to try sky player, however when I try to watch/download a program, it tells me that I have to update media player with a security update. I followed these instructions, but when I click on the button update here:

http://drmlicense.one.Microsoft.com/crlupdate/en/crlupdate.html

IE freezes and nothing happens, IE should be repeated and the download fails.

I tried this fix:

http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistasecurity/thread/6309d2c9-B319-4ef3-ab6d-7bf27c3e997d/

At the stage of the command prompt it does not have the specified file/section. The specified path does not exist on this system.

I'm on vista, using media player 11. I am aware that all systems are everything to date.

I also tried setting a different media player as the default, but it does make a difference.

Thank you!

Hi Boxface,

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

Whenever we try to upgrade the safety components for Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer tries to run an ActiveX control. Sometimes security software or firewall blocks it from running.

1. Click Start, type inetcpl.cpl , and then press enter.

2. click on the Security tab, select Internet and click custom level.

3. under controls ActiveX and plug-ins to allow request confirmation for ActiveX controls and ActiveX controls to run and plug-ins.

If the steps above does not resolve, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

1 How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista

2. try to upgrade the component security after step 1 of the above article.

3. If you are able to upgrade the safety component of media player correctly, follow step 7 to start the computer as usual.

If the steps above does not, try to run Internet Explorer as administrator, and then upgrade to security for media player component.

  • video player - help needed

    Hi guys,.

I am new Director like 8hours inside. I need to create a video player but with a twist. Once the video begins, I need to pause, after some time of game and then play another shorter video.

Once completed the 2nd short video I need to resume the game from the 1st video!

OK now, here's what I've got so far. The 1st video playing with a button reading and stop, which both work.

I see that I could use something like: the piece of code to perform what I need following:

    If sprite (1) .movieTime = 1000 then
    Sprite (1) .movieRate = 0
-Enter the code for the 2nd video game
    end if

If anyone can help fill the whites and also where to paste the code, I would be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I moved my project slightly. I inserted the Windows Media Player ActiveX control. It is very good.

Everything I need to be able to do now is pull video files from the hard drive (this will eventually be a folder or database on a Server Web - evil cross that bridge when I come to him!) and read in the media player.

Can someone help me with this one?

  • How to remove protection from Windows Media player

When I copy music from a CD and copy that music from the library to a flash drive, the music is now protected that I can't play anywhere else but a PC. How to remove this protection?

    Hi ToniAli,

    Method 1
I suggest you try the steps from the following links and see if that helps.

When you try to use Windows Media Player 11 to play a digital camera digital rights management (DRM) - multimedia file protected, the media can not play
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/925705

You may be unable to read content protected after your computer hardware changes
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/891664

    Method 2
If you copied CDs for protected Windows Media Audio files, the CD must be copied again.

Uncheck "copy protect option" in Windows media player and then tear up the new CD

If your allowed to copy the CD on one computer, you may experience these problems

OT:when I try to watch a video with DRM, I get a message that must be upgraded one component of Windows media player...

    Hello

To resolve this issue, reset the DRM Bank on the computer. To do this, follow these steps:
    a. If Windows Media Player 12 is running, quit Windows Media Player 12.
    b. Locate the DRM folder on the hard disk, and then rename the DRM folder in backup DRM.

By default, this folder is located in the following location in Windows 7:

    %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

    c. visit the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

    http://drmlicense.one.Microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp
    d. follow the instructions on the website to update the safety component of Windows Media Player 12. This procedure allows you to obtain new licenses for media content. You can also reset licenses for purchased content so that you can play that content on a computer.

Note On a Windows 7 computer, you must run Internet Explorer as an administrator before update you the safety component of Windows Media Player 12. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. click on start and then click all programs.

    2. right click on Internet Explorer and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

Note You must contact any third-party stores where you purchased music to reset the licenses for that music. If you copied CDs for protected Windows Media Audio files, the CD must be copied again.
Note: With the help of third-party software or a link, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third party software or link can be resolved. Using third-party software or a link is at your own risk.

  • Netflix in Media Player error: "we could not load the video player.

I recently installed the add-on Netflix to my Windows Media Player.  It was working fine (though I don't find Windows Media Player to be a great product) but now when I try to play something Netflix I get two error reading - each other.

    • The first read error is: "we could not load the video player.
    • The other on another pop up window begins with: an error has occurred in the script on this page. "There are so many lines with details and a URL, then he asks:" do you want to continue running scripts on this page? "With radio buttons or not.

I tried to uninstall the add-on from Netflix and reinstall - but that does not change.

I thought to uninstall Windows Media Player and reinstall - but I can't even figure out how to do this.
