  My computer is a PC running Windows 7 Enterprise. I rebooted the computer and tried to install several times. I don't understand why, when my company pays for this software and I need it for my work, I have to post in a forum instead of a call for help.

  After trying the solutions in the article provided by Ned Murphy (thanks for the help) I found the problem. The installation folder has been set to ReadOnly and the Installer did not allow me to change the selected folder. I ended up remove the back of the property read-only.

  STEP 1:

  Remove all components or products of acrobat and then try to install

  Cleanup Utility tool run windows install to remove acrobat existing on the computer content

  Download the tool windows install cleanup utility and install it. exe http://download.Microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.

  Launch windows install cleanup utility from the start menu.

  Select the Acrobat products in the list and remove it.

  Restart the computer for changes to take effect.

  Download Acrobat and install successfully

  Acrobat 9 is quite old and not longer supported. The last Windows OS that could use Acrobat 9 has Windows 7 and Acrobat had to have all updates applied.

  It shows the message that you have found that you install using an upgrade license.  The version that you choose in the list must be the older version that you upgraded, and then you will need to provide the serial number as well.

  You must use the exact installation file that corresponds to your serial number.  for example, acrobat pro X installation files, not acrobat std X.  You must use the appropriate language, platform (win/mac), the company or not etc.
