Impossible to remove/bypass Windows 7 login screen

Can someone please?

I have had my machine for about 2 years, and since the beginning I set it up to work around the 'Welcome' (also called logon screen) screen where you can select the user and password type after the start of.  I've never had a problem with that.  Today out of nowhere (probably due to an update of windows), Windows is returned to its default value and is forcing me to select a user until it connects to the office.

I am the only user of this machine and have no need for this step/hassles...  Yet once again, as I did when I first implemented the machine 2 years ago, I followed these steps:

1. run netplwiz

2. uncheck the "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"

3. Save and select a default user to connect

Which should have solved the problem, but the machine is totally without considering this.  When I restart, he always asks me to click on the user name before it can connect to Windows.

After trying 5 times, I found this link, which, in addition to the steps above, also has instructions to keep the changes in the registry: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/377-log-automatically-startup.html

I followed the steps and STILL nothing.  As soon as the shut down and restart, once again Windows asks me to select the user name before can connect you.  I'm pretty frustrated at this point.

Already passed through it: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/answers?tId=320a0261-737a-452e-917d-22187fd37b47

All to nothing does not.  What is going on?  Were there a windows update that requires now that the logon screen?  Is there another place in the registry that prevents me to bypass the logon screen?  Help, please!

SYSTEM INFORMATION:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Model: Dell Latitude E6320 (laptop)

Processor: Intel Core i7 at 2.80 GHz x 2.80 GHz

RAM: 8 GB

DD: 680 GB

Certainly not an effect of intentional release.  I think that I run RSTRUI and return on the eve of the day it happened, and then monitor very carefully what updates are installed if you can identify one causing the unwanted behavior.  Make sure that you do this quickly before the restore point is no longer available.

  • How can I remove the email notification in the Windows 7 login screen?

    opening start screen

When I turn on my computer at the beginning to start click on user name in my name says 464 emails unread how rectify this.

    Regards Mike Robson

    Glib answer: read your emails.

Notification of "unread mail" on the Windows Home screen reflects information from several e-mail applications that can be installed on your computer, including at least, Outlook Express and Mozilla Thunderbird's.  Other messaging applications can also contribute to the total.

If you click on the link, you are supposed to see what e-mail client has how many messages, but I have never actually confirmed this feature.

See Presentation of the mail notification display on the Windows XP Welcome screen.

You can completely disable this notification.  The link above the article explains how to change the registry, but the easiest is to download TweakUI for Windows XP.  For some reason, the Microsoft download link for this seems to be non-functional now, but you can get it here--> http://download.cnet.com/Tweak-UI/3000-2072_4-10002117.html

After you install TweakUI, click on "Login" in the left pane, then "unread mail".

    Hello chi linh.

I wish to inform you that it is not possible to remove the text that appears when the computer starts, and it is not recommended.

If you want to use any third party software, you can use them.

  • New Mail notification to appear in my Windows account login screen, peux I turn this off?

I started using Thunderbird for my email because I am so sick of "Comcast/Xfinity" unwanted advertising and dumping else on my computer when I just want to make my Comcast email. I've customized email Thunderbird (options, etc.) to display the way I want. However, I use a shared computer I put in place will have to connect to multiple user accounts or the Admin and now T-Bird puts in place a notification on my user account (on the Windows login screen) of new e-mail arriving and how many new emails I have. I don't necessarily want other users to see if I have new messages and the number of new messages I. Is there a way to disable this "feature"? I don't see any option in the tools of T-Bird.

If you have already logged on to the Windows user account and you can see the desktop etc, then please turn off alerts notifications according to the instructions contained in the first comment marked as "helpful answer.

  • X 220 changed for Windows 7 login screen

My laptop X 220 happened two days ago and the (before going on the desktop) login screen has changed black background with the word THINK of the plain background of Windows 7.

Within two days I got my computer, I was in love with the black background with the word THINK every time I signed in my computer. Just as I got back I wish. Is it possible to return to this screen?

Probably you have changed your Windows theme. One option would be to return to theme Thinkpad. Otherwise you could follow this article:

  • Windows 7 login screen/box will not open. Only the background and the cursor visible.

    Hello

I was surfing the net this morning, and in the background, I was installing "Logmein". I guess the site I got it off the coast is legitimate, as many of my friends installed it for playing games on a network. This is the site I downloaded from https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi2/download.aspx

While he was installing my laptop froze and ctrl + alt + delete does not work so I turned it off by holding down the power button and transformed then turn it on again.

It is now charging a screen that says "Windows error recovery" and has an option 'Launch Startup Repair' or 'start windows normally '. What that either an i select the result is the same--a screen that says "windows is loading files...". "followed by a login screen empty with only the cursor for the company, as shown in the image below:

I have no idea what to do and this is the first real problem that I have not been able to solve in the 2 years Ive had it.

I tried all the options in the "Advanced Boot Options" (F8 at startup) menu in the hope that something different happen, but every time is the same as the last.

I am running windows 7 premium x 64 on the Sony Vaio VGN-NW20SF. My laptop came with a disc of windows 7, so I can't reformat. I do not have the back for awhile and there are files, I want to keep if possible.

Any help would me much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Lewis

    Hello Lewis Tumelty,.

LogMeIn replaces the native for Windows login prompt.

If we are unable to boot into safe mode, we will need to use the repair your computer option command prompt in the F8 menu.

After this was accomplished, I recommend the following market article, the registry is probably corrupted:

Note that this article was written for Windows XP, but the steps are the same in Windows 7.

  • Is it possible to display a dialog box with the fields/custom controls for the Windows Vista login screen to the top.

    Hello

In Windows XP (prior to Windows Vista), a Service could be interactive and display a window/dialog on the login screen.

Of course services are no longer allowed to be interactive, and certainly, I agree that it is an improvement in security.

However, say if I wanted to do one of the following values, which is possible (and how to implement). I don't mind what language I have to set in.

    (1) add a button in the login screen that says "Reset Password" which will then invite a form with questions of security.

    (2) run an application within the login window

Really appreciate any help on this matter,

  • How to add a clock on the Windows 7 login screen?

    Title says it all.

If possible, this is my personal preference, the clock is digital and transparant.

I can't seem to find the post immediately, but I myself remember what an official Microsoft blog already said that they did not want any additional code on the login screen.  In fact, they said, they did not even want to have the accessibility of programs running (Narrator, on-screen keyboard) from there, but they had to add those to ensure legal requirements have been met.  It's also why these programs are limited - any development on those could cause risk to security, given that these applications are allowed to run in the context of the system login screen.

The message specifically mentioned a clock saying that not even showing the time current system made the short list of things that they would arrive on the login screen.

How can I remove the start of Windows Mail from my computer screen?

    Try this:

    Go to this registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail

Then, create a new DWORD entry and call NoSplash.  Then set the value to 1.

That's how it worked in OE (see http://www.insideoe.com/faqs/how.htm) and it should work this way in WinMail.

    Hello Alex,.

Too, I came across this problem before, even on Windows XP!

However, good news. Is there a way around this. You will need to create a CD and follow the on-screen instructions when you start in this CD.

    This CD will allow you:

    • Add/Remove accounts
    • change/remove passwords
    • View stats
