  • Impossible to uninstall the application installed on the market

    Hello

    How can I go about uninstalling the application of Wikipedia (who keeps bugging me to update)
    I installed Firefox on the Marketplace?

    I can find about the app: apps and on the market, but there is no possible way to uninstall;
    no uninstall button can be found and long - by clicking on that icon requires only to be selected for copying
    in the Clipboard. How can I go to get rid of this app?

    4.2.1 Android
    Firefox 29.0.1

    Came here looking for an answer to this specific question. Wikipedia not installable. I use Firefox Beta 32.0 on Android 4.4.4. The Wikipedia app is installed as an application "synthetic". She also is no longer available on the market for this platform. I had uninstalled the synthetic application using the removal procedure normal Android app, but it was still showing upward in installed Firefox and bugging me about the updates. I decided to re - install the application from the notification of update of Firefox (remember that's not on the market more for this platform). I uninstalled and then again the application normally (via Android) and this time, he had also disappeared from Firefox.
    I hope this helps.

    How to solve problems when you install or uninstall programs on a Windows computer

  • Restore and recover a single file of data/Tablespace to reclaim space

    Oracle 11 G R2 with node 2 RAC, ASM and Data Guard

    11.2 Solaris

    I have a Bigfile Tablespace TB 5 on Production which has a very large table containing LOB data. Most of the LOBs have been deleted so now the space used is only 200G.

    I need to recover the space (to 4.8) below the high water mark (HWM). We tried all the usual methods (shrink, move, reorg online), but due to the enormous size of the space, they are all would require to take my Production database down for many hours. Also, I have limited disk space to work with.

    In 11 G RMAN skips data file blocks that do not contain at present no data when you save to disk for a backupset.

    I came with a possible alternative to reclaim space with RMAN below:

    1. turn the offending offline data file

    ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE OFFLINE 3.

    2 restore and recover the offending using data file:

    RUN {}

    SET NEWNAME for DATAFILE 3 on NEW;

    RESTORE THE 3 DATA FILE;

    DATAFILE 3 SWITCH;

    RECOVER DATA 3 FILE;

    }

    3. place the new file data online

    ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE 3 ONLINE;

    First: Will this work?

    Second: When I restore this data file, it will ignore the HWM on original table space and restore just the 200 GB of data, or he will restore the 5 TB of blocks used or not?

    Thank you.

    RMAN ignores empty blocks during the backup, but restoration will create the same file size as it has been earlier and restore data later. So you will get no benefit from it.

  • Impossible to uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection after system restore

    Hello
    a program has been uninstalled (Symantec Endpoint Protection)
    After have rebooted and still have problems to install a newer version, I decided to do a system
    Restore prematurely, I uninstalled the original version.
    (Since I couldn't find the installation files or my license info)

    The old version worked again.  Now I am able to start the
    new version, the old version will not uninstall.

    It just sits there in a small box with a bar saying Windows of progression
    in the configuration of Symantec Endpoint Protection and it remains as it
    for as long as I left, at least 25 minutes.

    I thought that the system restore would put things back exactly as they
    have been, but it's apparently not the case.

    OT: Impossible to uninstall after system restore

    Any ideas on that?

    I was able to cirumvent the problem by a selective startup in Msconfig.

    I disabled all startup items, all services not MS, restarted and then uninstalled

    successfully.  However, I met another strange problem.

    After uninstalling old version, I rebooted (the system was still selective

    startp) I put a new restore point and installed the new version successfully.

    Later, realizing msconfig has been arrived at "selective", I went and

    has tried to return to Normal startup.  However, when you select normal

    and hit 'apply', it immediately jumps to selective.  I have never seen it before.

    I didn't know how to solve.

    Instead, I uninstalled the new version of the AV program, jumped to the restore point

    I did before I installed, rebooted, open Msconfig and have been correctly set up

    In normal mode.  Then reinstalled the AV.

    Everything is OK now.

    You ever heard of this problem of msconfig before?
