Impossible to uninstall programs as says needs administrator rights

Hi, I'm trying to uninstall programs, but still, he stands up and says I need administrator rights, but it does not give me the "Run as Administrator" at this stage.  Does anyone know how to remedy this?  Thank you.

Hello

You can uninstall a program from your computer if you no longer use, or if you want to free up space on your hard drive. You can use the programs and features to uninstall programs or to change the configuration of the program by adding or removing certain options.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

  1. Open programs and features by clicking on the button start , by clicking on the Control Panel, click programs, and then click programs and features.

  2. Select a program and then click on uninstall. Some programs include the ability to modify or repair the program in addition to uninstall. but many simply offer the option uninstall. To change a program, click on change or repair. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

or you have a problem program try the FREE version of revouninstaller

See, when I download the texture file and to copy them all, cut and paste, after all you're supposed to save the file and start FSX. But when I save the file, he denies and says I need administrator rights to save the file when I am the administrator of the computer. Please give me an answer to this and help. Thank you.

  • Impossible to uninstall programs using the control panel

I am trying to remove several programs using Control Panel - Add or remove programs.  I get the following error

An error occurred trying to uninstall [program name].  It may have already been uninstalled.

Windows then gives an option to remove the program from the directory.  I did hope that he would then remove the program itself, but not luck.  The program is still listed under the start menu, all programs and runs correctly if clicked.

Any help to understand why the Panel think that the program is uninstalled when it's not would be very useful, as would a work-by-turn.

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

You could try to locate the individual uninstall each program feature. The names of these vary from one software to another manufacturer, but they are usually in the directory of the software program. If there is a specific application uninstall routine, it is often indicated by an UNINSTALL. LNK sortcut. If you follow this path, go to the program folder, then right click on the shortcut and run as administratoruninstall application.

To avoid just uninstall, you can try to locate any program that is associated with the program to be uninstalled, and ensure that it is not running in the background or as a service. Choose Start, MSCONFIG, tab Start to see most of the programs that run auto-magiquement on the computer starts. Common examples would include Office and Adobe programs Quick launch that preloading some components of the program.

You can also try a third party uninstall program that takes a more aggressive approah to the whole uninstall process. VS Revo Group is a free utility to do this.

    Revo Uninstaller (free)

Like a lot of freeware, there is a 'Professional' ($) version that makes even more rigorous procedures, but the free version does a pretty good job.

    Hello

Download and install Revo Uninstaller from the link below.

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/download-freeware-version.php

Run revo and use it to uninstall the software.  Make a right click on the program icon you want to remove and select uninstall.  Initially, this will launch the applications own routine that may still fail, but simply to continue Uninstall.  During the process, that you may be asked to remove the registry entries, simply select all and then click on remove.  Do the same for any left over files and folders.  Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the PC.

  • Need administrator rights for the Intel on Satellite Pro 2100 speed step

    Hello
    I have a Satellite PRO 2100 (Pentium 4 1.9 GHz).
I have a problem with the function of the Intel speed step, which reduces the speed of the processor at 1.2 GHz. But I have a problem: I can do this, if I use an administrator account...
After starting, if I connect with a simple user account, the Intel speed step works... and the speed of the cpu remains at 1.9 GHz.
So I would like to use this function with a simple user account, how do I do it please?

    Thanks for your help :)

    Hello

As far as I know that this application is not shipped with the image of Toshiba and it s not made not part of the image.
But I put t see any big problems. You will need to change your account administrator rights. In this case, you will need to ask someone the admin right to edit your account.

The other possibility is to change the law for this software. There can be changes as by admin. What you can change in the Security tab in the program properties. Full control must be set to all.

Then, it should be possible to use this application with your account.

  • A user needs administrative rights on their computers to change the formats of date under the sign of the region and Lanaguage?

Customize the format of long date in DD/MM/YYYY under control panel > region and language > Formats > more settings > Date > long date is available for a user with administrator privileges, but is available for a non-administrative user?

Since posting this question, I was able to test this scenario with the help of my computer SCIENCE Department.  It seems that all our portable business have a configuration of standard domain without administrator privileges by default account.  I turned on my laptop users and was able to change the long date in DD/MM/YYYY format proving you don't need administrator privileges to change the long date format.

  • Windows needs administrator rights to enter the PUK code number

    Hello

in the company I currently work for, many users use a laptop with a mobile connection to connect to the internet.

It sometimes happens that the user has entered the wrong PIN code several times, so Windows needs the PUK code to unlock the SIM card.

Windows 7 (and Windows 8 also) administrator rights are needed to enter the PUK code.

Laptop users don't usually have local administrative rights, so internally, IT needs to enter the PUK code.

Why is it necessary to have administrative rights to enter the PUK code?

A possible solution would be to remove the SIM card from the laptop and insert it into a mobile phone. Currently not possible, because the mobile phone requires a SIM nano and the laptop on a mini SIM card. We would therefore order to new nano sim cards and buy a lot of cards. It should work, but I would prefer a software solution.

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

    Good answer:

    1. what applications you are trying to uninstall?

2 is the issue limited to one application or several apps?

I suggest that you try to uninstall the application in Mode without failure.

    1. click on the link below and follow the steps to go to the safe mode

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=Windows-7

    Uninstall or change a program

If you think that your system is infected, you can run an antivirus scan and check.

  • Impossible to uninstall programs

    Hello!

I am running Vista Home Premium. When I try to remove programs in the control panel of configuration/programs and features, I get sometimes refused.

The latest versions of the programs that I have tried to remove are Volo View 3 and Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor, (which I installed today only)! The messages I get are: "Windows Installer - the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." (Then click the OK button), then the message: "updates installed - you don't have enough access to uninstall Autodesk Volo View 3. Please contact your system administrator. (Then on the OK button).

I m the system administrator. I got the PC since new and I'm the only one "user". I put the maximum permissions in the tabs of security for the programs that I am trying to delete, but nothing helps! However, cannot access 'special permissions '. If I can't access as an administrator, which is the point where it is there? This must be a Vista thing!
    Advice would be appreciated

    Best regards
