Impossible to update 10.11.5

I wanted to upgrade to the latest version of Configurator2. However, although the update appears in App Store, when I try to install it I get a message saying I need to update 10.11.4 10.11.5 first. So far so good. However, when I tried to upgrade to 10.11.5 I get a message saying that I need to reboot, and if I click on restart now, I get a message saying that my updates have changed, see updates or cancel. So I hit see updates and the same updates are displayed. Sigh.

So I thought sod this and downloaded the Combo Update 10.11.5. However, when I run it goes very fast, like 10 seconds and tells me to restart. I restart and System Info always shows 10.11.4.

So now what? It reminds me of my experiences with Windows updates and I don't like.

Any ideas, lovely people?
