  There are here some papers that look as if they could relate to the lightroom the list for example PT-101 and PT1, SG - 201 and SG2 but, for the moment, I am particularly interested by what option must be used to match the photo paper and glossy II (PP-201) that I bought - GL2 looks as if it might be a competitor

  When you manage printing via an ICC profile color, is it necessary to specify the correct paper type in the printer properties dialog box? I use a Canon Pro-100 printer.

  Hi, I have a problem with printing from Lightroom 6. It seems that since the last update of Lightroom color management has corrupted. Impressions are now far the color range as they were before and as it should. • Color management in Lightroom 3 print Module

  I was never quite happy with the Lightroom print module, but have recently noticed quite marked when printing color inconsistencies.  I use a HP B9180 printer and always use application controls the color (and learned how to set the printer driver to the top outside of Lightroom in the Windows 7 Control Panel to avoid what it back to one of the HPs built in printer setup options).  I also print using QImage Pro that I have set up as an external editor, test images sent to the QImage always print as expected, but the same images printed on Lightrooms 3 have a Magenta cast.  I always assumed that lightroom kept the image in his workspace of ProPhotoRGB internal in the print module and profile specific printer/paper ICC to convert directly from ProPhotoRGB "instructions to specific printer/paper" (QImage is certainly sending the file image in aRGB or ProPhotoRGB gives exactly the same result).  However I was looking at the model of printer and among her file found the following

  I'm under that Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on a PC with a Core 2 Quad Q6700, 8 GB of DDR2 RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS graphics card.

  No, the keyword "printingFileProfile" profile which is selected when you switch your output to a jpeg file. The keyword "printingProfile" is the profile that is used to translate the data to your printer. If you select a profile in the context menu, what Lightroom is converted from inner space linear prophoto for the profile of the printer and that sends the printer driver. No staging sRGB is made. If you get an unexpected color, what usually happened is color management double because the pilot has a different profile. He should leave the quiet data, but it is obviously not.   Could be a broken monitor profile. Switch display icc profile Adobe RGB or sRGB standard if you have a normal screen space, if you have a screen wide gamut. If this is useful, it is likely that a broken profile.

  In addition, the only way to make sure you see what looks like an impression (on your screen) is to use a unit of calibration as a Culor Munki or Spyder.

• Cannot access the options of color management for HP 6700 Mac OS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)

  I have the HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one, and I can't find any way to access the color management options.

  The printer is attached (Wi - Fi) to my iMac Mac OS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion).

  I want to correct a magenta cast for the photos I printed.  I had the problem of magenta-cast in Lightroom and use Preview to print the photos, so now I want to work with color profiles in Photoshop Elements.

  Photoshop Elements is recommended I have 'disable color management in the printer Preferences dialog box.

  However, I am not able to find for the 6700 color management preferences in settings under Mountain Lion:

  Not sub (Apple) > System Preferences > print & Scan.

  Not sub (HP utility) > Open Embedded Web Server.

  Not sub (HP utility) > the printer settings.

  Non-print preview dialog.

  I can't find any clear directions in the online help (HP or elsewhere) that I've read so far.

  Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

  Thanks for the reply and the screen shot.

  The first thing I want to do you is to reset the printing system.
  OS X Mavericks: reset the printing system

  Then add the printer, however when it by adding not just click on the name of printers, click Add printer or a scanner. Make sure that the 'use' is set to the printer and not Airprint.
  If it is displayed as Airprint, you will be missing feautres compared to the actualy printers driver.

• Double color management?

  Every time that I try to photographs of printing on the Canon 100 pro printer using an ICC profile color management and software I have prints with a magenta color cast. I believe that this is due to double color management?

  If I set the software to allow the printer manage the colors the colors are OK but I need to increase the brightness of pring and impressions on the standard settings are too dark to mush.

  How to print from Lightroom and Photoshop using an ICC profile for my paper and not have the problem of the color cast NVI prints.

  I ca't find anywhere to turn off color management in the printer set up.

  I use Lightroom CC, CC of Photoshop on an IMAC computer and printer Canon Pro 100. My computer screen has been calibrated using a Spyder 4 and screen brightness has been refused to a level that is recommended for the treatment of photopraph.

  If you add a network IJ printer you will get a window like this printer and simply work through drop-down menus to select your options.

  Then choose the type of paper and settings in Lightroom.

  

• Problem with colors in Lightroom (color shadows/blacks/artifacts)

  Hi, I imported just some pictures with dark places on them (shadows, night etc.)

  and in the library colors are ok, but once I'm in develop module, change the scenes dark colors and there are even darker splashes (?)

  Its ok when I click on ever but its annoying, but if I uncheck the box, dark colors are back.

  So:

  Library - ok

  Soft proofing - ok

  When I export - ok

  develop - bad spots on the part dark photos

  These artifacts are actually in the file. I noticed metadata in the file that you are using Lightroom 5.6. You need to update it to Lightroom 5.7.1 there was a problem of color management with Lightroom 5.6 under Mac OS X Adobe fixed with 5.7. • Color settings is not Lightroom color settings

  How are you guys! I'm an amateur photographer and use Lightroom and Photoshop. 99% of my work is done in Lightroom, so I really only use Photoshop rarely when I need to do certain things.

  It seems that every since ch & LR CC came out, I cannot get my color profiles to match. I know that LR uses an embedded color profile that is ProPhoto RGB, so I put the color profile accordingly in the PS, but when I open an image in LR and PS, the colors do not match. I've attached a screenshot of the same image open in both programs where we see the difference in color. Does anyone know how can I fix? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  

  This is most likely a bad display profile. This can affect different applications in different ways.

  Color of managed applications must always show absolutely identical - that's the whole point of the management of the colors in the first place. There is no particular reason PS and Lightroom color settings must match. They should display properly regardless of the color space of the file.

  The right way to handle this is to use a standard to make a new profile to display. If you do not, use sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 for the moment, it is usually close enough for most people.

  Replace your current profile in Windows Color Management. Be sure to restart both applications when done - they need to load the new profile at the start of the application:

  

• Why is it not my icc profile in the 'other' tab in the color management tab in the print module?

  I installed a new icc profile (as I did in the past). It appears in the folder c:/windows/system32/spool/drivers/color as well as everything else. I have the latest update for Lightroom installed. I closed Lightroom, restarted the computer and restarted Lightroom. My other profiles are listed, but this one isn't there. I know it must be added in the menu 'Other' down in the profile section of the tab in the print module color management--but it is just not there. Any advice would be appreciated.

  I just figured it out, and I'll put the answer here in case others run into the same issue.

  I closed the print module and went in the develop module. I went soft proofing (shortcut "S") mode and looked on this list of management-profile-other colors, and it was there. I then closed out proofing and returned to the print module. Now the icc profile was listed. Strange behavior, but there you go.

• Color - desaturated color management

  I use LR 4.3 on Windows 7. I have a Dell U2711 monitor calibrated using Datacolor Spyder 3.

  I import a Sony RAW (.) ARW) file, open it in the develop module, change the daylight white balance to get the correct colors in the image. The colors are very well and saturation as you wish.

  I export the file affecting the color space sRGB under file settings in the export to a file dialog box.

  I export the same file again, now setting AdobeRGB color space.

  Now for the fun part.

  Color abreast of business applications such as Firefox, XnView and Photo Viewer Windows 7 the sRGB image seems dull and desaturated the AdobeRGB image seems fine.

  In applications without management of the colours of the images as well look on the right, exactly as the image displayed in Lightroom.

  What am I missing or misunderstanding?

  No, not really, the monitor is correctly calibrated and the Spyder 3 WG aware, it's no problem. The problem with not calibrated monitors WG is that the colors are too saturated, but this isn't the case here.

  Calibrated or not really make the difference here, color management/profiling done. What you see, it's quite normal for a display of GT. As I said, they are an absolute pain to use with same ARGB and sRGB. It is quite difficult on MacOS, and I'm sure that drunks is just the icing on the cake.

  Essentially what is happening, is the sRGB conversion is mowing the color and display correctly in the apps to the current profile. When you strip profile and/or view in non-profil apps up-to-date, it is remapping of the colors for your screen and that's why they look "correct".

• Color management does not work in AE

  I have color manage everything that I did in Photoshop and Lightroom without a hitch.

  After Effects CS5 not color correctly handles.  It simply doesn't get it.  The only setting I could find that he'll simply ask if you want it to be more accurate.

• On the 2nd monitor color management

  In the file of Lightroom_3_help.pdf ("update 03/12/2010') provided with LR3 (p22 low), it is said:

  I have two monitors: one about the Adobe RGB (a HP LP2475w) range and the other about sRGB (an old Samsung), as well calibrated and profiled.  However, if the same image is displayed in library view on both, the colors displayed on the second monitor are virtually identical to those on the first.  It's true, no matter who is the main screen of LR and that is the second monitor.  But if Lightroom isn't a not color-managed the second monitor, the image would be likely sent as ProPhoto, which seems very very pale any monitor were the other.  Even though Lightroom has made the image as sRGB always on the second monitor, then there will be a significant difference when the monitor range were the second monitor (apparently not managed).

  Anyone can shed some light on this?  My tests suggest that the second control is managed by color.

  The display is fully color managed on both screens for me. It must be

  supported the monitors thus or otherwise second would be completely useless. It's

  My graphics card has failed and I just replaced it with a new Radeon 9800 Pro graphics card. Now all the pictures, I open. VINTAGE. JPG. TIF, are devastated. They seem to be more saturated. This incorrect color is the same in Photoshop CS3, Bridge, and Lightroom beta 3. However if I bring the same photo in ACDSee, Viewer Windows, or Photoshop and Bridge from my laptop to the color is correct. If I bring a photo with the oversaturated colors and do a 'save for web' preview of the photo has the correct colors. Crazy! Color management is set for North American prepress 2. I so far totally deleted CS3 and reinstalled and downloaded the latest display drivers for the graphics card. Anyone have any ideas?

  Photoshop uses the display profile.

  ACDSee is ignoring the display profile (so what you see there probably is not really correct, which you get to see in a non color application).

  Most applications ignore the display profile and no color is displayed correctly.
