New color management problem causing graphics adapter

My graphics card has failed and I just replaced it with a new Radeon 9800 Pro graphics card. Now all the pictures, I open. VINTAGE. JPG. TIF, are devastated. They seem to be more saturated. This incorrect color is the same in Photoshop CS3, Bridge, and Lightroom beta 3. However if I bring the same photo in ACDSee, Viewer Windows, or Photoshop and Bridge from my laptop to the color is correct. If I bring a photo with the oversaturated colors and do a 'save for web' preview of the photo has the correct colors. Crazy! Color management is set for North American prepress 2. I so far totally deleted CS3 and reinstalled and downloaded the latest display drivers for the graphics card. Anyone have any ideas?

.. because your display profile is incorrect.

Photoshop uses the display profile.

ACDSee is ignoring the display profile (so what you see there probably is not really correct, which you get to see in a non color application).

Most applications ignore the display profile and no color is displayed correctly.

You can download the driver from the Intel website (search on your model number of graph, then Windows 7), read the notes first check it is correct for your hardware, uninstall the graphics drivers (Windows will return to a default basic driver), restart and install the new drivers.

If this does not work, the Lenovo Web site will be older (but certified to work) drivers for your system model.

  • Neophyte color management problems

    Neophyte color management problem:

Image rendered PS colors do not match monitor or images rendered with other applications.

Recall facts: using MacBook Pro retina with NVIDIA GeForce GT M 750 (calibrated in sRGB with ColorMunki Display software), OSX 10.95, PS CS5 and new external NEC PA272 (material calibrated to native with calibrator Spectraview II & NEC gamut) connected with the mini-displayport cable. Although slightly different due to different Mac and NEC display gammuts, a sample JPEG on Mac seems somewhat near NEC as desktop BG on respective monitors images and seen with the OSX Preview app on a monitor. AND the same image in PS when the image PS window is MOVED to NEC, is STILL, UNTIL the mouse is released. Then the image in the PS on NEC image window moves with a glance off the coast of colors. I am aware that the Mac display is sRGB and the NEC a range wide screen, and that this image of the example is a JPEG to sRGB, but I wanted an image that would be displayed on two monitors, with different applications, including the Psalm but it's the same thing when the main PSD used to create the JPEG format is loaded in PS then MOVED over to the NEC. Tried to play with management PS colors and corresponding attempt to different

Profiles, but no luck. Tried the General searches on Google, but I'm lost. Any suggestions where to start to fix this problem? Thank you!

The standard behavior in a multi-screen configuration is that Photoshop uses other operating system display profile offers upward so that the display - up to what the image window crosses the line to halfway between them. Then he goes to use the other profile.

The shift-on-drop thing indicates a video card problem. That's how OpenGL works in Photoshop, when you drag an OpenGL image is temporarily suspended, and then snaps back on when you file.

So I would try to disable the GPU in the PS preferences or set it to the basic mode. This shifts all display color to the CPU. Then wait for the next update of video driver from Apple.

  • Color management problems

    Hello

Im a photographer and recently switched to CC, as well as a new iMac, I had everything put up very well on the other computer, now I have problems with the color on my images, it seems that the color is completely off when sharing images on my blog/facebook or even printing, is not the same color that I see on my screen. Im a little confused in what concerns the way to solve this problem.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

    Delfina

    > color is completely off when sharing images on my blog/facebook

you mean probably on the new monitor that looks too red on your blog or on facebook

    This is probably due to

    1. the download process deletes the profile incorporated, or
    2. you convert not in sRGB before downloading, or
    3. or the download process is made an assumption about space in your document and do a conversion
    4. you include a profile incorporated, and/or
    5. you are not using a web browser color management

  • Between 5.5 and CS4 color management problems

I'm faced with a problem of color management and would be very grateful if someone could help me with that.

I'm working to create in inDesign CS4 (6.0.6) and using my usual color management settings. I set up at the bridge in my CS4 and then use in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. My settings are for jobs printed here in the United Kingdom, as follows:

    ---

    Workspaces

    RGB: Adobe RGB (1998)

    CMYK: Coated FOGRA39

    Color management policies

    RGB: Convert in the workspace

    CMYK: Convert in the workspace

All three 'request when opening' checked

    ---

Then I have a customer takes the file InDesign me, working there and returned to me to complete the development and execution of the high pdf - are for printing. It runs the latest InDesign CS5.5. I have him ordered to open InDesign and set his Edit > color... settings as follows without any open file is by default (am I do this bit correctly, it will work through all the files I send?):

    ---

    Workspaces

    RGB: Adobe RGB (1998)

    CMYK: Coated FOGRA39

    Color management policies

    RGB: Preserve embedded profiles

    CMYK: Preserve embedded profiles

All three 'request when opening' checked.

    ---

We did some testing and it doesn't work. It can open and work on the file ok and I see text changes she did without any problems.

But when I analyze his record returned in detail, I can see that his record is now showing view > test format > Document CMYK - us Web Coated SWOP (v2)

that suggests something coming to an end that applies US profile. I can change the configuration of evidence to work: Coated FOGRA39, but prefer the US profile never made his reappearance!

My apologies if I'm doing a very basic error or errors here, but I usually have my color management just on my own system, so this is new territory for me. If anyone can help with what I should advise him to do to an end, I would be very grateful (she is about 300 miles north of England, so can't easily try the options on his MacBook Pro myself!)

PS I also noticed that some items on the page have been modified when exporting .idml to 80% of transparency-enough to fool me for a while that the colors had changed over those too, when in fact I don't think that had anything to do with the issue of profile, probably just a bug between economy of process CS5.5?

The easy way to get your colleague to use the settings that you want, is likely to create a .csf (color settings file) by pressing save button in the Edit > color... Settings dialog box, then having his press office in the same dialog box and selecting your .csf you sent.

  • Bridge Photo Downloader AND color management problems

Just updated to the latest OSX 10.8.2 and also updated to the latest versions of all available for CS5.5

Now when I open the bridge there are several questions. The first being the Photo Downloader will download is actually more images. The buttons are simply inadequate. It's infuriating to say and I was not able to find advice on the matter. I use the latest versions of Camera Raw and Bridge.

Second, bridge is changing the color of my screen profile. This has never happened before, so I guess it has something to do with a new update. I use a calibrator monitor (ColorMunki) to set the color of my screen and I am not interested in having the bridge or other products Adobe does not interfere with this it works perfectly so far. I've read everything available on Creative Suite color settings, however I don't find a way to load my monitor profile in the color settings options.

I'm on a 15 "MacBook Pro which is less than years.

If anyone can shed some light on the above questions, I would be really grateful. It ruined my workflow and I'm a bit at a loss for what to do.

In the meantime, I'm curious to hear if anyone else is having the same problems with the Photo Downloader...

Exit the bridge and go to your user library (if not visible select the Go menu and hold down the option key to reveal the user library).

in this library from the menu 'Préférences' find and delete the file plist Photodownloader manually (com.adobe.photodownloader.plist), and then try again.

Also check if your cable or a card reader is working properly.

  • color management problem

I use Win 7 ultimate on a Lenovo W700 laptop. I use Huey Pro as a calibrator screen. I found on Vista 64 that wee badly in programs, but to the right of the screen colors. The reds have almost disappeared and the contrast is way down. I upgraded to Win 7 64 and the same is true. Fund colors are normal, but in programs like preview Windows, Capture One, Photoshop CS 4 or 5 and others, the reds disappear and the other changes are to see. The differences are huge. Lenovo has just checked the Nvidia video card and the motherboard. All the software you and the drivers are up to date.

In Capture One, the RAW image converter, I can see what is happening. A folder of photos will load and I can see them coming. Initially, the colors are OK, then after 3 seconds, another profile is applied on the photos one by one and colors are now far as described.

Lenovo and Adobe so far have no solution. It seems that this issue has been around since Vista, but has not yet been addressed. Actually wondering what photographers like me have made, that the photos cannot be changed on my computer. On my last shoot, I had to borrow an Apple and treat it...

How can I get this change of profile to stop? Again, the office is very good and if I find a photo on the web is good, but when I use my own software as above a profile is visibly changed.

I'll be very grateful if there is solution!

    Thank you, steve

I first noticed the problem with vista 64. My pictures came out gray and green. Attempt to fix, it would add color to the rear. Others see you so too much color and contrast. I thought it was my conversion to srgb color space, or something. I called lenovo and updated for win 7 64, but he looked the same. I went on a shoot in Glacier national park this month with three other photographers using apple computers and we noticed that the colors were missing on mine, if we shot the same object. I put my files on their computers and they seemed fine. We saw the red and other colors were very good on my desk or on a thumbnail of a photo on the desk, but as soon as I opened the photo the colors disappear except Green and gray with little left. It does not matter that I opened the photo with, including windows or third-party programs. If I go on a website and display a picture on a forum, the colors are fine for me. The drivers are all changed with no difference. I will try to change users and see if it helps. Again, I can actually watch get in capture one if I open a large file. The colors are very well, so they move suddenly after a few seconds. In the other, faster software, the colors are not from the moment wherever I see them. Even if the calibration software thinks he works and the profile can be selected by default in the Control Panel, there is no change after calibration of the screen. I can even uninstall Huey pro and it does not matter. I tried to calibrate it manually and the colors are there on the calibration screen, but bad back in programs again, as if I'm only to calibrate the office. Hope this helps and I'll try to change users Steve

  • Acrobat color management problem!

    Hello

For these last days, I have a problem with pdf files.
After the export of a .ps to the .pdf file with distilling, when open it with acrobat is not embed the color profile that I took.
But after I click on the button "Preview output", with the color profile I have chosen in the drop-down list, the colors are exactly as I want them to be.

What can I do in this situation? Is there a problem with Acrobat or Distiller?

    Thank you in advance!

You really need to give us more information such as operating system and version, the application you create PostScript for (record PostScript or printing to the instance of Adobe PDF PostScript Windows printer driver) and version of Acrobat joboptions accurate that you use with Distiller.

    error code - 10

installed the old one (2006.06.21) Microsoft (version 6.1.7600.16385)

    Hello:

I don't know a lot about the switchable graphics, but let's try something.

I'm afraid that if you run the complete driver package, it can destroy the installation driver for HD 5xxx series.

    Then, try this...

Download driver AMD support page and the driver of your laptop.  Do not run it.

Use the free 7-zip files extraction utility to extract the driver to a folder.

Link to 7 - zip below.

    http://7-zip.org/download.html

After you let 7-Zip extract the .exe file to a folder, go to the Device Manager and click on your device ATI 4200 problem. Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select Browse my computer for the software method and find the 7-zip folder extracted.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and hopfully the driver install and not tear your discrete HD 5xxx video card.

I'm not the one who works the HDMI out port. Only one of them would be, I think.

  • management of color printing problem

(Sorry for the double post, given that this problem concerns both illustrator and photoshop and actually as indesign) to decided to repost it here in the forum of photoshop. Thanks for any help!)

Hello! IM in charge of a large print in a University Lab. All the quad macpro running on 10.6.4 CS5 all updates.

I have a major problem when all 3 printing CS5 applications: (being the worst) Illustrator, photoshop and indesign: each one produces a different impression, even if I use the SAME color management options (color management application using my own created color with an i-profile file - a tool of greta macbeath and using eye - one match 3). IM to print on a laser 7750gx XEROX printer. very cool printer never had problem with colors before with him, in any case, it was always the software part that was causing problems of color (as I suspect in this case).

How can 3 software under the same application collection and the brand, using the same color profile and options (IDENTICAL! it is triple check all the options!) can produce 3 different prints when you print the same image (this is a color created in photoshop CS5 psd)?

I remember having trouble like this when we arrived first CS1 in our lab, but not that bad... I checked everything... I really don't know how to solve this problem...

the best setting so far is in Photoshop during the application manage the color and using my perceptual color profile file. best performance so far, not the best I've had in the past, CS4 was much more perfect with color management.

I really need to find a solition because students are waiting for the color to be almost perfect (and they almost used CS4 in the past...

Thank you for any advice and help!

    +

Well, the code printing changed between CS4 and CS5. Among other things, we have refined the color management to follow the evolution of the requirements of the OS.

It looks like check in the tool is a good step.

  • my printer makes a cracking noise strong; problem with the new color cartridge

My printer makes a cracking noise when I turn it on and try to print.

Also, I put in a new color ink cartridge. Sometimes the color looks like it is running out of ink, then next time I have print

    something, the color is good

I tried to clean the rollers as you told me.  When I turned the printer on again, the fort by clicking noise was gone.  I can't believe that solved the problem.

But when I tried to print a greeting card, color before had lines through it, as it does when the ink is getting low.

I just put a new cartridge, so I knew it wasn't ink.  I was told to remove the ink cartridge & then put

back in.  After that, I printed a map & it was fine.

So I hope that he takes care of my problems.

Thank you very much for your help!  I was about to buy a new printer, but it's only 3 years.

  • Inspiron 15 (5548, Early 2015) Windows 8.1, problem with graphics card: cannot distinguish colors.

I recently bought a laptop computer Inspiron 15 5548, I noticed that I am not being able to distinguish the colors on the screen, probably a problem with the colors of graphics cards intel.

I was testing with a file html with three blocks with colors, the first is #F7F7F7, the second is #F0F0F0, and the third is #FFFFFF, just gray colors

I think that there is a problem with the graphics card supports intel graphics card is Intel(r) HD Graphics 5500, the driver version is 10.18.10.4013 (last available in the dell drivers site).

There is a picture of what I'm testing.

And this is a picture of the computer screen dell laptop Windows 8 (everything seems the same color!)

This is a photo of the same HTML running on computer dell laptop on Ubuntu (three bands can be distinguished)

And finally, there is a photo of the same html file displayed on an old toshiba laptop Windows 7, I can still distinguish three bands.

Any ideas on why this phenomenon occur?
The configuration of the color on the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel uses the default values.

    Thanks for your help.

pffft just a true color configuration problem, I disabled it and the colors can be now Emeritus.
