in my div content goes beyond the width

I created a < div > to put my main content. I've given a width of 810px. However when I hit a very long line of text in the < div > tag then it isn't autowrapping the text to the next line when it exceeds a width of 810 px. What could be the problem? It creates even a scrolling horizontal bar when I saw the long line in a web browser.

Here is the CSS for my content < div >

#outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content_bigbody {}

float: left;

Width: 810px;

background-color: #FFFFFF;

min-height: 690px;

-moz-border-radius: 8px;

-webkit-border-radius: 8px;

border-radius: 8px;

border-radius: 8px;

box-shadow: 5px 5px 5px #6d6e70;

padding: 10px;

do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.

font size: 13px;

top of the margin: 15px;

margin-bottom: 15px;

margin left: 15px;

}

Try to add to your CSS:

dressing: break-Word;

    The index.html file is the page that is sought after by the browser when someone types a web address (this is the landing page for the entire site)

    To get some divs to sit side-by-side, you can use the css "float" property

    I guess you have a css style sheet linked to the page? Add float: left; to the 'hand' and 'ad_side' in the style sheet css selectors.

    {#main1}

    float: left;

    }

    {#ad_side}

    float: left;

    }

    Are you

    Glad to hear we're making @Estuprogress. It seems that my suspicion was right, that the question must have something to do with the way in which the program communicates with the driver. SO let's back peddle a moment. I think I asked a couple of times, but as a reading during our conversation I don't see an answer to what program you print from when this happens. Even if it is present for a number of programs please list them. There may be something specific program that we can modify to allow it to work properly with the right driver.

    The PCL drivers are the basis of the printing language, so that they are just much more basic. The goal is to solve the problem and use the driver designed for your printer. Didn't you try to the other pilot for diagnostic purposes.

  • Trying to run Hallmark Card V2 and it "goes beyond" the window and will not reduce in size

    I am new to Windows 7. An old program I have and seems to work - so-Hallmark Card Studio V2 is above all designed for Windows XP. "However, when you open the program it" overflows the monitor window and the symbol of "boxes" at the top right normally used to enlarge/reduce the size of the window is covered on mainly off screen on the monitor. So I can't minimize the window to fit something like 3/4 of the monitor. I tried all the keyboard traits that affect Windows, but the only thing that works is to reduce the window to nothing or on-screen "overfull". I tried to run the program under different settings from earlier Versions, but which has no effect either.

    Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you!

    Your best bet is to contact the developer of Hallmark card because we have no idea if it's even compatible with win 8 and knows virtually nothing about his works.

    Hello

    I would like to use an image of stock within a book to be published, but the engravings of the book may exceed 500 000. Is there a process whereby I can still use this picture in the book?

    Yes, simply select Extended license instead of Standard license when you register it. It will come with a cost of $79 per image.

  • Background color of "Div" (header) - change to fill the width of the page beyond just the width of the content

    I need the background color (#060) of my head extends beyond simply the content of the entire width of the top of the page (the full width of the body and the right column).

    , But what I do (see http://www.aloe-vera.org ) there is always a white space because the header at the top ends with the right side of the drop down horizontal top menu.

    Yet, I find the following in the blank template page for html to DreamWeaver 5. I hope someone can explain better. I think that is found the answer, but it is not supposed me. Thank you, David (see below)

    "By nature, the background color to any div will only show for the length of the content. This means that if you use a background color or a border to create the appearance of a column to one side, it will not extend all the way to the foot of the page, but stops when the content ends. If the content div contains more content, you can place a border on the div content to divide the column. "

  • Animation of edge doesn't scale to the width and height div parent

    We have an existing site that was built in 2007, but has been designed to fit perfectly with sensitive css, there were a few hiccups, but this was by far the biggest problem that I have encountered. I'm working on replacing a flash animation with animation that onboard animate cc 2014, I did, and everything went fine until I asked to play well with my existing Web page.

    I was playing with my files for a few days now, and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. (I've been placing the code manually in html format, and not as a .oam) It seems that my animation of the edge, on the appropriate settings available, insists on the evolution of the size of the port view rather than the size of the parent div I put it in. I came with a difficulty of brute that changes javascript code so that the animation looks at 90% of the display window, but as soon as you resize the window, it goes back to 100%. Which is annoying because I need to be at 90% with a 5% margin/padding on each side (that's what the content div is set to of anyway, so when the edge host is set to 100% width, only go to 100% width of the content div that it is in) and even more embarrassing as that does not even begin to solve my problems with the desktop version of the site. As much as I love the sarcastic musings of my friend in HIM during the afternoon, I think we're both willing to entirely renounce this aspect of the project.

    When I tried to import a media file .oam that he just doesn't appear at all, no code, no javascrip, nothing shows the parent div and empty the stage in development tools (I check the code for troubleshooting purposes through google chrome).

    I'm really at the point where I hope I did something terribly wrong and I'll be able to save this new way to add in the animation. That would be the best case scenario at this point.

    Help, please!

    Here's how I solved the problem

    Configure the animation as w 100% and 100 hour

    You will need to exit mode suitable for it, also uncheck the option to stage at the centre.

    Then, I put a container around my scene in the html code. I call it class = "stagewrap".

    I then added javascript so that stagewrap would retain a certain aspect ratio but the scale to 100% width.

    That's what looked like my html

    My CSS looked like this:

    {.stagewrap}

    margin-top: 20px;

    Width: 100%;

    position: relative;

    overflow: hidden;

    margin-bottom: 30px;

    float: left;

    font size: 2.5vw;

    }

    Some of these styles will have to modify according to your needs or according to your needs.

    x is going to be your ration, which matches your width divided by your height, you can just divide the number of pixels, the units cancel out and that the ratio works for any other unit.

    There is the width to which your animation is 100% resolution without the scale upwards or downwards. It is a VERY important number to keep your overall percentages correctly.

    And z is probably 1, unless you want your text is larger or smaller, you can play with it yourself.

    "In my code, I wanted to also set it so that after a certain width of the window, the animation went to a static size so I did that."

    function setRatio() {}

    If ($(window) () .width)<= s)="">

    SW.height (sw.width () * thisRatio);

    }

    else {}

    SW.height (sh);

    }

    }

    s = the width of the window to which you want the size to go static LESS 1px

    SH = static height that you want the picture to stay in, this number automatically sets the width through the report.

    As insurance, you css for the size of the window, you want the static image to organize at all, the size of the .stagewrap in px

    I hope this helps!

  • overlapping divs, but lies in the container 960px & other is full screen width

    Hello

    I would ride two divs, however, DIV 1 is limited within the Global packaging/container to main content 960px. DIV 2 (a flat background color), I want outside of the main envelope, so it extends from edge to edge of the (perfectly adapted) screen. DIV 2 must also be placed completely behind DIV 1 so that the background color corresponds to what lies behind the content of the DIV 1. I have everything in place, but 2 DIV is stackable in DIV 1. ~ From what I've read, it seems that I have to add an absolute position in the #2 DIV... But how can they relate if DIV 2 is outside most "pregnant"?

    Can be a way to combine the two rules effectively?

    Collar-xs-12

    A "Bootstrap" page is divided into 12 columns by default. You can set the number of columns you want your item to occupy and for what screen size. For example, the class above tells the browser that for extra sMall, the element should have 12 columns. The 12 columns will be apply for any screen larger than very small.

    If you want that element occupies 6 columns (2 side by side) for small screens, her resemble the class

    12-xs-col col-sm-6

    or, and I'll leave the explanation for you answer

    Collar-xs-12, col col-sm-6-lg-4

    Managed to solve the problem by simply adding a tag hr... If only I had tried in the first place.

  • Unable to get the content div to expand under the last tag div

    Again, I ask for help for my site www.acemon.com

    I can't get content to exceed the last div. When you look at the site, you can see the last box (titled "to the real estate agents") is surrounded by the color of .container instead of color content.

    You have an extra div to click here and clickhere2:

    Premium.html">."

    Click-images/sample.png"alt ="Value2"width ="150"height ="50"/ >

    value.html">."

    Click-images/realtor.png"alt ="Real Estate Agents"width ="152"height ="50"/ >

    Then, replace:

    with this at the bottom:

    that is to put the DIV outside comments.

    It must then validate.

  • Change the width of the content of inputListOfValues inside the af: query

    Hello

    I am looking for a possibility to change the width of the content inside my af:query.

    For example, I have in my fields of application 2 (width 100) and an inputListOfValues (width depends on the width of the content max)

    I want to display them with the same size.

    I put all 3 columns the same width, but af:query always display the current max inputListOfValues width content.

    Is it possible to achieve that?

    I found the solution

    http://www.jobinesh.com/2011/01/customizing-component-display-by.html

    but it does not work for inputListOfValues, only for text input fields. Maybe some css, but how to add css inside the af: query?

    I use jdev 11.1.2.4

    Hello
    AFAIK width for inputListOfValues inside the af: query depends on the size of the field in the database.
    But we can change the with inputListOfValues inside af: query. This is the easiest way to do it:

    1. go into your view object - > attributes

    2. click on the attribute for which you have the LOV. Click on edit to change this attribute.

    3. click on control flags on the left panel. Change view width.

    4 apply, Ok, save & enjoy

    See an example screenshot. We are allowed to change other fields too. This should work for 11g R1 and 11g R2. Please share if you find another way. Hopefully this will solve your problem.

    Thank you
