In RoboHelp monospaced fonts

Hi all

I'm a bit new to RoboHelp and I need your help in the management of monospaced fonts and different types of fixed spaces in the code examples.

To be more precise: I have several lines of code that display wonderful in FrameMaker 10 when set in a minivan, like Courier New or Lucida Console font, as you can see below:

01_Frame.jpg

However, as soon as I import them into RoboHelp 9.0.1.262, it looks like the fixed character width miraculously disappears and any other police minivan that I use, the result is about the same, i.e. the lines (and the "false columns") are is more lined up:

02_RH.jpg

I tried to use the Frame object by adding > HTML > chassis > chassis, but the result is exactly the same.

Also, when I try to adjust the amount of space by replacing ordinary white '& #160' with spaces (fixed) half-quadratin "  " or hairspaces "  " in the HTML source code, as shown below

03_HTML_Code.jpg

it looks like RH is not able to recognize the codes:

04_HTML_Output.jpg

So, anyone facing a similar challenge? No idea on how to solve this problem would be more than welcome!

Thank you

Le seul problème est que cela fonctionne pour une utilisation occasionnelle des exemples de code. Pour des morceaux plus longs, je suppose que ce serait un peu lourd.

    > It of a nice trick, but does not include the space between the characters typed.

Type two consecutive letters. Then, after you convert the characters in vectorised text, commented on and make sure a line from point to point on the next letter. The length of the line will be the width of your area.

  • Monospaced number characters in the Finder

I'm on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS Sierra (upgrade on the spot, not a clean install) of the retina 2012. In the time that I've been using the new OS, I was finding myself annoyed by the way in which files are displayed in the Finder. It seems that the new police (I don't remember what is happening a few weeks ago on El Capitan) have set with spacing of the numeric characters, which causes the file list display the contents of the directory in a wavelike pattern which gives it a rather ugly appearance and becomes annoying when you try to scan through the list of files.

I've read mention a lot about a new San Francisco monospaced font that I think made his debut this year, but why it is not implemented as a system font is disconcerting. Is it the way it is supposed to be, or something not properly get upgraded during the update process? If there is some sort of command terminal or utility for Finder using a correct fixed-width font, I'd like to hear it!

FWIW, I do not believe any version of Mac OS x uses a fixed-width/spacing font in the Finder. Even if the numeric characters are spacing you would have the same problem with alphabetic characters mixed. And even if everything was at constant spacing there would be a ripple on the right because of the names of files of different length.

  • I can't find the code 39 fonts to use in mac bar

I need to print labels that contain 39 barcode fonts. How to install on mac mini?

You can get a legal copy of police in barcode 39 herefree. Make sure you read the title, using the Code 39 barcode fonts. You can also get it here.

For the first link above, they give you two choices to download the font. DO NOT operate the link recommended . Unless you like adware as well as what you can download from a site of garbage like download.com. The other link will download the police directly. It also comes with a bunch of junk. Throw the INSTALL.exe file. The rest of it in the subfolder are examples. The only thing of real importance is the .ttf font. Alternatively, use the new .otf (OpenType) fonts.

The police made the code bar itself. If you want the numbers to appear below, you must do so separately. As with the standard MICR font. Or you can use an easy to read font such as Courier (Courier in particular because it is a monospaced font).

  • What determines the fonts available in Options | Police | Police source window?

In all my other IDEs (Visual Studio, WDSCi), I used a font of ProggyClean-Slashed-Zero-Bold-Punctuation-monospaced (http://www.proggyfonts.com/index.php?menu=download) who made my life a little bit more easy.  But in LabWindows/CVI 9 I don't only have right to choose from a limited list of fonts.  How can I get my police Proggy?  Alternatively, a better question, what determines which fonts are listed in this selection?

    Thank you!!

    I thought about it!

I maintain programs written to the Japan that must be changed for our US systems.  Therefore, I usually use Japanese Windows XP with my language of non-Unicode default value system.  Japanese text in the comments in the code source appear in the case, as the boxes.

When I'm in Japanese mode, I have only a dozen monospaced fonts available.  But earlier, I switched to English and have a * ton *, including my favorite Proggy!  But the solution is not good... I * have * to run in Japanese mode to do my job.

I'd love to beta test a fix for this!  There must be some language check is against policies, and regardless of who does not openly support the current language of the system must be excluded from the plan.  Just a guess.

Any ideas on how I can get this works when I switch in Japanese fashion?  I'll try to now and we hope it stays...

  • Police fixed-pitch, or including the own font files

    Hello community!

Is it possible to define the type of insurance a LabelField to a minivan one?

I searched the forum and I could not find the comments about the font size...

If this is not possible: is there a way to include my own fonts with the application file?

    Sincerely,.

    Patrick

I'm not aware of any monospaced Fonts.

You can add your own fonts in OS 5.0.  Prior to that, it is not supported.

I guess that, if you really need to do it, you could model your own fonts using bitmap images or very careful drawing!

  • InputText and font size?

I'm trying the InputTexts of style on a particular page fragment so that their labels and content are smaller than those applied by default font size. In other words, the smallest font size applies only to a particular page.

I tried a number of things - the most recent being the blog of Matt Cooper on http://formattc.wordpress.com/2010/09/16/one-off-adf-component-skin-appearance/ - but nothing changes the size of the police.

I have this defined in the .css:
       .MyStyle af|inputText::content {font-size: x-small; font-family: monospace;}
And this set to the PanelGroupLayout of the page fragment container:
        <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl0" styleClass="MyStyle ">
The monospaced font family is displayed correctly in the InputTexts, which means that they are inherited as the container styleClass expected. However, the font size is ignored.

So, this would I have to do to get the font size of the InputTexts on a given page fragment to increase to 50%?

    I use 11.1.1.6.

    Thanks for the help.

I was looking at your CSS and I donot think that it is permissible to use a comma it - fx-font-family.

    From: http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/api/javafx/scene/doc-files/cssref.html#node

JavaFX CSS does not support the series separated by commas in font family names in the property - fx-font-family. The optional line height parameter when specifying fonts is not supported. There is no equivalent for the property are varying

I checked the tank string using the view variable, the text has been formatted correctly and is finished. Unfortunately, it is not completely.

Indeed, the only difference between the two cases is that (1) there is a long line, path name, which prevents the word "automatic" scarf, undocumented / line break. Hi Wolfgang,.

I was easily able to reproduce the bug (#421593). The problem seems to be related to the tabs. If you replace them with spaces the problem disappears. Of course, this may not be the easiest thing to do, when you use a non-monospaced font in the world. But until there is a difficulty, perhaps this is your only option.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • I can do my custom cascading text control?

    Hello

I need a control of custom text in my application and I am wondering if it is possible to do in the Cascades:
    1. There must be a custom cursor appearance - a rectangular area of colours reversed on a character (like the slider on the old VT100 terminals).
    2. must have neither borders nor 'X' sign to clear the text.
The text control uses the monospaced font.

I realized there is AbstractTextControl, but you're not supposed to subclass it, you must use CustomControl for all custom controls. So I would say that I have to build my control from the basic text and Rectangle elements in Qt Quick, but they are absent in the Cascades. I just found QRect but the documentation says only: "the QRect class defines a rectangle...". ». Is it really to draw something on the screen? Can I use QRect in my custom control, I have write in C++ and register in QML?

Can I make a custom control that contains the label and captures the events of virtual keyboard to add characters of the label?

    Thanks for help.

    (1) no custom cursor is currently possible, reverse color could possibly be done by a custom font or using HTML in the text control (or WebView so you need not display just to input from the user)

    (2) not possible to remove the borders at the present time, the X can be enabled or disabled programmatically.

Yes you are right, I would say WebView to watch if it's screen only, otherwise you're looking at your own writing.

  • Graphics.ROP throws IllegalArgumentException

I'm an IllegalArgumentException (with null backtrace and message) when I do the following in the paint for a custom field method:

    g.ROP (Graphics.ROP_SRCMONOEXPAND_COPY, x, y, FONT_CHAR_WIDTH, FONT_CHAR_HEIGHT, font_, left, top);

However, the following works (though without the colorization, I want):

    g.drawBitmap (x, y, FONT_CHAR_WIDTH, FONT_CHAR_HEIGHT, font_, left, top);

font_ is a Bitmap loaded from a custom PNG (a monospace font) file. I use the Eclipse plugin and a 4.5.0 Simulator. ROP() worked from 4.2 and 4.5 API documentation made no mention that he has changed since then. ROP_SRCMONOEXPAND_COPY is not obsolete, is it?

Does anyone have insight into this? Thanks in advance.

Never mind, you were right - the file PNG itself stores 1 bit per pixel, but for some reason Bitmap.getBitmapResource () that converts a bitmap with 16 bits per pixel. The documentation for Graphics.rop () does not indicate that there is a problem, and indeed it works when compiled with the 4.2 API on devices physical time 8830 and 9000. When I give a 1-bit Bitmap to Graphics.rop (), it works with ROP_SRCMONOEXPAND_COPY.

RIM, please update the documentation of the JDE to tell API Graphics.rop () is no longer can use any image, and it will throw an IllegalArgumentException if he dislikes the Bitmap image, he is given.

  • Publish on HTML5: weird span out of tab stops

FM2015 using publish on reactive HTML5: I am creating the output that is programming code, spaces and characters must therefore fixed-width. Any suggestions on the best way to do it?

I created a simple test FM doc that contains a fixed text that is supposed to be programming code. GGX

I created a paragraph format named "source Code" and applied to the programming of text. It uses a monospace font "Consolas" tab stop and chaque.5 thumb. Note the tab stops used in the source code for indentation.

In the publishing settings, I traced the paragraph format "source Code" to the HTML tag "PRE".

When I publish to HTML, indentation is messed up:

This is what looks like the HTML markup. I drew a box around the weird span that is generated to represent the tabs:

Why is that in there? Why should I use inline style to substitute for the family of fonts and size? How the tabs supposed to be handled in the output of the edition?

Ideally it would simply omit the redundant span and released a number of white spaces using the . Is there a way to control this?

If I change settings card not format pre SourceCode para and use instead "use Source Style.

    So, is the HTML output:

Which also contains the unwanted scope as well as style unwanted inline for the font family. Why is that it does not have the font family in the FM_SourceCode CSS class?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

    Hello

    Thanks for reporting this.

I think you have essentially two questions:

    1. why the period corresponding to several?

HTML doesn't have a tab stop equivalent characters, can be achieved either through hard space or use margin instead, space FM currently use to replace tabs in the document of the FM. Even though we have plans to improve something that can be controlled by CSS. Another way might be that we can simply use styles/formats with margin.

    2. why font family is coming in the output as inline style?

In the case of replacements of format, FM generate as a style inline in output to get design look. If you remove substitutions of document FM format, it will go away.

Please let me know if you have other queries.

  • Center anchor text by the expression

Hello! This is my first post, so I'm sorry if I've caused a lot of facepalm.

I wanted to center the anchor point of the text in an expression. What I did:

    X = this.sourceRectAtTime () .width/2;

    Y = this.sourceRectAtTime () .height/2;

    [X, Y]

It almost does the job... However, there is a small gap. I tried to understand, and it seems that (0,0) of the anchor point does not correspond to the lower left corner, but instead has a small shift, usually less than 5. In addition, this shift seems to change depending on the font and text.

How can I make an expression that tackling this problem and place the anchor point in the center of the text dead?

Of course you can use monospaced fonts or design your own and simply add and subtract values, but disappeared completely, you'll always have situations where the visual cenrter has nothing to do with the calculated actual Center. Others you can find info without end about how the various parameters of the fonts and their relationships each n how to calculate them, but it is far from trivial, then I would advise against. In more than 15 years using AE I have never had the need nor the desire to enter into that kind of thing. It is much more important to find good fonts in the first instance, both in technical and aesthetic sense.

  • RPAD space in an element of the display does not work?

    4.2.1

    THM 2

    Hello world

I tried to add space on a point of display value using something like this

It's the source of the displayed item

    Select rpad (table_column, 10, ' ') table.

It shows the values less spaces rpad (works fine on sqlplus)

But if I put something like

Select rpad (table_column, 10, 'X') table. It then adds the XX correctly.

I changed the display point setting

Escape special characters to-> no and limited character-> all characters allowed for this element of the screen. Still, it removes the white spaces. Solutions alternative or ways to do?

    Thank you!

    ryansun wrote:

Not sure I understand this. You mean, I use the span with padding html tag in the sqls? Some of these items have sql as source, some static text based on certain conditions, then for one with sqls do you need consistent with html in the SQL itself?

Are you suggesting that I can make detailed recommendations on the Visual presentation and formatting of the page without being able to see content that requires formatting?

Display elements are rendered as HTML span elements with the name of the element used as attribute to the ID of the item. You can apply the style to an element by using a style attribute in the HTML attributes of the element form of property element, or by using the name of the element as an ID selector in rules in the page CSS CSS properties. You can apply styles to several elements affecting a class attribute in the item property for Classes CSS to HTML form elements and using them as a class selector in the rules in the CSS page properties.

    The possibilities are endless.

Just to be more precise. What I did is, I have a page on load before the process of the header, where I compare the lengths of some of the elements of the page, and then set a page_item with the lpad value and then use it in the select sql when filling out the element.

This will work only if the values are displayed using a monospaced font, which is rarely the case in the web today (and ever default in the APEX). Most of the time ' 0 'is wider than 1', W is more broad that 'i's and spaces are somewhere between the two. By using this method with a proportional font, these differences in pixel will simply never become more fussy.

We'll see this for real, with none of the usual simplification...
