• I have a new Epson R2000 and my impressions are too dark.  How can I get WYSIWYG?

  I disabled the color management on the R2000 and 10 elements to optimize for prints.  I try to get WYSIWYG.  It is complicated by a new LG Flatron IPS235 monitor.  It is supposed to have the best calibrated factory of color and FRY Electronics said that it would be the color of the true range and complete.  I tried to change the mode sRGB, photo mode and user mode and prints are still too dark.  I'd appreciate any help I can get.  I'm a scrapbooking working on pictures of my world travel bucket list.  At the rate I'm going, I will kick the bucket before I get printed photos.   Thank you!

  If there is a "16-bit" option in the Epson controls, try turning it off.

  Apparently to allow this control breaks the mangement of the color codes in the Epson driver.

  Let Photoshop control color is more accurate, but sometimes encounters bugs in code printer (such as the switch from 16-bit) driver.

  Let the printer color control is easier, but much less precise and leaves your images subject to some secret sauce of the printer driver wants to apply to them (which can vary between images!).

• Newbie question: how to set up a dynamic security with Essbase?

  of course, I'm new to technology Essbase and I have a simple question:
  
  -How can I configure a dynamic in Essbase OLAP server security so that the user can only see some members of the dimension (and according to the rows in the fact table)?
  
  By dynamic, I mean that I don't have to click on in via UI (for example http://businessintelligencedw.blogspot.com/2009/01/security-filter-essbase-tutorial.html), but to base the permissions on a database table where I can easily my users (by program) adjust the visible members for my users.
  Also, can I add users/roles programmatically?
  Surely, for mulitple user environments didn't click on them while...
  
  
  Can someone point me to relevenat documentation, I checked on this book (http://www.amazon.com/Oracle-Essbase-OLAP-Multidimensional-Solution/dp/0071621822), but there is not a single sentence on the security in this :(

  Well, there are other 'issues' with Essbase. As I imagine that there are with MSAS.

  I think of them as the oddities. But of course the quirks are the faults that love makes forgive you. I guess that means that I love you Esbsase. It's sad.

  I agree that an Excel/VBA solution is not... ideal. But in the context of the client, this is what they wanted.

  I pull a SQL - tables generated if I had to do it now, then run it through MaxL. I documented using MaxL/VBScript (go easy on me, Hey, it's a MS product) to generate the filters that look pretty. I will avoid linking to my blog twice in the same thread, but I have a post with the code example that shows how to do this. Research of planning + filters in the blog. It might give you some ideas.

• PDM-file: how to set the description of the channel?

  I use the "DAQmx Configure Logging.vi" to capture the raw data from the measurements of May. Which works very well.

  

  At the end, after the acquisition of fiishing, I want to save the PDM. To do this, I want to add some properties to the PDM file. Using "TDMS Set Properties.vi" works, but ot for all properties. I'm able to add the name, description, title, author and date/time (yellow cells in the screenshot). How ca I add the description of the channel (see green cells in the screenshot).

  If you want to write a property for the channel, you must provide a group and a channel for the service to know which channel the property goes with.  If a group is provided but no channels, it assumes that the properties for the group.  If neither are provided, it assumes that the file.

• Video TOO dark?

  I used a DCR-SR40 for about 7 years, with good results and bought a new Sony HDR - XR550V 240 GB HD Handycam Camcorder a few weeks but I am very disappointed for some reason any new cam with all the bells and whistles seems to be much darker video inside and outside seems not to matter... Perhaps the factory settings have changed?

  You can save images in bright colors, even in dim light by activating the function LOW LUX in scene selection.

  I downloaded a vector image of sled itself is only about 700 x 600 pixels and a huge 15 MB file size. I have a brand new with 16 GB of RAM and trying to open it basically crashed my computer. I tried to copy the image, and only put it in a new file have it convert into a 35 MB file.

  The file is unusable for me. How can I unlicense it? Better yet, the image is perfect for what I want to do this, I'd rather have a usable copy.

  This is a very cool image. in any case, it's an Illustrator file. Don't forget to open it in Illustrator to adjust its size and make any changes. You can then convert whatever format you need for your use.

• Using the Dynamic Range name in the Data Validation

  Maybe it's the time of day but I'm being a little dimwit here!

  I use = OFFSET(Data!$G$5,0,0,Vlastrow,1) for the range name Tbl_Names.  When I select F5 to check that the range is highlighted it seems everything is in order.

  On a leaf, I have a Data Validation that uses a list where the Source is = Indirect ($G$ 7).  G7 is the text "Tbl_Names".  The table of Validation and the content of the G7 is on the same sheet.

  Where am I going wrong please?

  If your screen is generally dark even outside the game, so your shine is low on your monitor, use your buttons on your screen to change the brightess. If this does not work so if you have an ATI or Nvidia card, run the ATI or Nvidia utility search parameters of color looking for brightness/contrast settings and change them to your liking, also in some games you can just raise the brightness via the game settings.
