Increasing the dynamic range

Hello

I read how by AutoBracketing you can get an increase in dynamic scale using Photoshop CS. Is this possible with Lightroom 2?

Not in native mode, but LR/Enfuse plugin can help.

  • Using the Dynamic Range name in the Data Validation

Maybe it's the time of day but I'm being a little dimwit here!

I use = OFFSET(Data!$G$5,0,0,Vlastrow,1) for the range name Tbl_Names.  When I select F5 to check that the range is highlighted it seems everything is in order.

On a leaf, I have a Data Validation that uses a list where the Source is = Indirect ($G$ 7).  G7 is the text "Tbl_Names".  The table of Validation and the content of the G7 is on the same sheet.

Where am I going wrong please?

    Thank you

  • In the first video too dark files / how to set up the dynamic range better?

    Hello!

To start, here's my basic/setup info:

I am using Pro 9.2.0 (41) first build 10.0 Win, 64-bit (all updates are in Place to date,) on an i7 - 5930 K with 32 GB of RAM and GTX 770. The source of the layer footage is uncompressed AVI (captured with card HDDP Unigraf UFG-06 via the HDMI cable), 60 frames per second, with about 200 Mbit/s data rate, 12-bit, YUY2 video. I have CUDA and the problem occurs regardless of this.

So the plot is, I'm running software on PC - 1, send the image of PC - 2 with the acquisition card, which records everything with the plug I wrote earlier. Problem is that when I copy the files to the PC-1 and import for the first, they appear darker than the real source. I tested with a test image of color, that I took a video capture card and then display and (professionally) alt-tab the original test image with the videos on a single screen. VLC video shows almost 1 = 1 with the original, but the first and all exported first lose one or two 'blocks' of dark colors and therefore lack of information.

Hey, good bonne idee idea for a feature request, please post! I know to fix a standard is auto-assumer as much as going to interpret things on a timeline, but allows wrinkles too manual and same setting manually what you want it to do period. It would be convenient in PrPro...

  • Apple TV 4 Dynamic Range

There is certainly a problem with the dynamic range on the Apple TV 4.  Watching movies on iTunes, the difference between strong and soft sounds is considerably reduced. This has happened since the Apple TV 4 has been released. Yes, the setting for the dynamic range reduction is on OFF.

As I understand it, the reason is that the Apple TV 4 manages audio decoding. There is no option to send a raw stream to an external decoder as an A / V receiver. Basically, the Apple TV 4 does a bad job at decoding.

There is a full thread on this on MacRumors. Many people are upset.

Apple really needs to fix this. Watch movies on the Apple TV is terrible and I started renting on Vudu movies using my Roku box because of this problem.

  • Dynamic range of exposure to t3i/600 d

can someone help me by providing the dynamic range of exposure to t3i. (beach of the slab - exposure range the lowest and the highest in terms of f-stops for a given scene)

    See: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos600d/12

Their testing seems to indicate that it is about 5 stops below and 3 & 1 / 3 stops at 4 & 1 / 3 stops above (depending on whether priority has been introduced on.)

I think that these tests JPEG (I've seen no indication of RAW and they usually go their way to make you know when they do first).  It is much more important in RAW bit depth is likely to do a little better if you RAW.

If you shooitng anything where you are worried about the dynamic range, then you should probably shooting RAW still.

  • Audio on the socket for headphones has a dynamic range very little. The music is piled up.

Speakers of the laptop to listen to music very well. When I use the headphone music in my headphones has a dynamic range very little. The sounds of music crushed. The strong parties are limited and the soft parts are high until I can hear background noise in the recording. I've never had this problem on any other PC.

I'm listening on iTunes, Soundforge, and any other audio program.

I downloaded an updated version of the software for the sound card - that solved the problem.

  • DNG at the PSD Dynamic Range

    Hello

I have a small confusion about DNG and PSD. As far I understand WHAT PSD is equivalent to TIFF and DNG would be RAW. My question is if I had the file > Scripts > battery DNG in photoshop. then do what I'm doing in photoshop. and save the file as PSD. then delete the DNG of my file.

will now layers (each layer being an any DNG) that have been imported to PSD still retain their dynamic range of DNG?

Using the load files in the script of layers will change the DNG in regular layers. If you want to maintain the momentum of DNG, you need to use and do it manually. If you do this, you could delete the originals, but I wouldn't. I do not think that the HDR merge will work if your layers are dynamic objects, so it is best to keep the original files.

  • Increase the video memory of the A40-211

    Hi all

I have the Satellite A40-211. The Intel chipset also supports all of the graphical stuff, so he needs a little more memory RAM as video memory. This is possible up to a maximum of 64 MB. The problem is that the chipset is now using a maximum of 16 MB of video memory, but I want to expand this to 64 MB.

Where can I find the settings for this in Windows XP Home Edition?

    Thanks for all the help!

    Bart

Hi, it s not possible to increase the video memory yourself!

Let me tell you that your laptop is a dynamic memory management

Your computer system reserved graphic only as much memory as it needs to accomplish all tasks running on your A40.

.. dynamic video sharing .This is not bad, as I think!

More info on your graphics chip basic find on pages of Intel.

  • Wide dynamic range equivalent Canon?

    All, morning

I've got a shoot tomorrow and images is going to be edited, I know the guy do a very quick turn around time and also doent have LUT packages to use. I also know he usually pulls and like dynamic range color profile (clogged not) on the C100, as it seems ok on the camera, but also gives you plenty of room to play with him at the post. What would you say was the most simular color adjustment on the FS7, I tried loads but all seem to be really flat (as slog 3) or with a little look very burned in them as rec 709 standard.

I know, it should have read so we could create the exact appearance etc., but it does not so is not an option.

    Thanks in advance!

  • EliteBook 8440p: increase the dedicated vram

    Hello

I would really appreciate if someone could tell me how to increase my vram dedicated on my laptop.

I have a 8440p with windows installed 10 EliteBook.  He and card Intel(r) HD Graphics (Core i5). I know it's a memory shared, and I can't change, however when I open the BIOS I can not find where I can change it. Currently, there are only 64 MB dedicated vram.

So if anyone could tell me where and how I could increase in the BIOS it I would really appreciate it.

    EliteBook 8440p

    Intel(r) HD Graphics (Corei5)

    Hello @GameGeneral,

This has been asked several times before. Unfortunately, you cannot change the vram dedicated on this configuration. You won't find anything in the bios settings HP to do. The system should increase the allocated memory dynamically if she need the RAM in the system, even if it is not as good a vram dedicated to games.

    I'm sorry.

  • 6008 OR increase the resolution by limiting the beach?

    Hello

I wonder it is possible to increase the resolution of the 6008 OR by limiting the range in the labview software?  For example, if I put it at 04:55 V instead of-10 to 10 V I then get 10 /(2^12) increments as opposed to resolution 20 /(2^12)?

    Thank you

Yes, but you must use one of the beaches that is supported by the hardware.  You can find the complete list in the specifications.

If you use differential measures, you can use ±5V.  If asymmetrical, you only have the possibility to ±10V.

    Best regards

  • Increase the packets received per second UDP

I have a very high packages (over 100,000 packets per second) rate which I'm trying to capture in LabView.  I configured a single loop to form the loop 'UDP receive' that takes the data from the wire and updates these data in a queue to be processed by another loop.

    The problem is that if I use the builtin UDP receive functions, or one library implementations available OCAP, I will always drop packets.  When the receive loop running I have the time I find it runs only in the range of milliseconds rather than the necessary<10us.  if="" i="" remove="" the="" 'enqueue'="" call,="" and="" do="" nothing="" except="" receive="" the="" data="" and="" increment="" a="" packet="" counter,="" it="" is="" still="" no="" where="" near="" meeting="" timing. ="" this="" leads="" me="" to="" believe="" that="" the="" problem="" is="" with="" the="" amount="" of="" time="" it="" takes="" to="" call="" the="" vi="" to="" perform="" the="">

Until I write a dll to perform multiple readings of package and transfer the pads of large size to labview, is there something that can be done in labview to increase the rate of packets?  Note that I have captured these data in wireshark on the same computer, and it's more the enough to capture all the data, so it is possible.

Attached are two examples that do not work because the loop execution rate is too low.  Exactly why the loop runs too slowly is a mystery to me.  Note the "OCAP" version uses the library from the mentioned thread previously.

The problem is now resolved.  I've updated the dll from this thread to include a "multi-package-group" function that provides in bulk packages to labview.  Even after doing this, I noticed that there was always a bottleneck when LabView went to assemble the packets (data collection of several packages to more large data sets).  This was solved by moving some of the manipulation of specific project data in the dll as well.  When I have free time, I also plan on accounting for the new library in this same thread of OCAP.

  • How to increase the size of the buffer

Hi, I would like to ask how can I increase the size of the buffer?

My problem is that the generation cannot be started,

because the buffer size is too small by the way I use DAQ Assistant.

Choose the size of the buffer: 1

    Minimum required buffer size: 2

so, how do I solve it?

    Thank you

    Chris

Hello Chris, can I ask what material you use. Currently the DAQ Assistant in your code example is configured to run continuous Acquisition and thus expects a type of dynamic data. This can be seen by the small red spot known as a point of stress and is shown when LabVIEW must convert the data to a different type. There are two options you can try to solve this problem.

    (1) change the type of Acquisition "(on request) 1 sample" in the DAQ Assistant, he will write your input value for the cDAQ with each iteration of the while loop

    (2) change of data entry strikes at a waveform
