Include a column not used in the Join Tables

Hi all
I need a temporary xy column in the select list not the tables I used for Assembly.

As SELECT a.abc, b, def
Of arety one
Left outer join
bgtyu b
on a.id = b.id

I need an additional column as xy not used from any table

SELECT a.abc, b.def, xy
Of arety one
Left outer join
bgtyu b
on a.id = b.id

Hello

Try,

SELECT a.abc,b.def, 'xy' TEMP_COL
FROM arety a
Left outer join
bgtyu b
on a.id=b.id

In any case, what is the use of this? Can you explain your real need?

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

Manu.

Can I remove Logical columns at the level of the business layer that I'm not going to use the layer of presentation as the ID or foreign key columns? It will not affect the relations to the business layer?

    Kind regards

    Hi Nestor,.

It won't unless they are used as keys, columns sort order, the ID column or the likes. But you can leave them in the MDB layer and expose just in the presentation layer - just in case you need it later. It is not use all the resources or generate overhead. • How do I display values skyrocket in the IR filter for the joined table columns?

    Hello

I have a problem in the IR the query is based on a table, joined with other tables. I would like to provide users the ability to use IR filter search bar in the joined table columns. The problem facing on this filter, the Expression field, by pressing the arrow button displays values for the fields in the primary table, but not for fields that come from joined tables. Have you experienced this behavior in your reports? Is this normal?

    TIA

    Hello

Correlated subqueries can improve performance - but it does not depend on the involved tables, the number of columns and the existence of indices. As far as I know, the optimizer has problems with them. You could try to explain the Plans on the two statements to verify that.

In any case, I created a new test page with the SQL for IR:

    SELECT E.EMPNO,
    E.ENAME,
    D.DEPTNO,
    D.DNAME,
    E2.EMPNO "EMPNO2",
    E2.ENAME "ENAME2"
    FROM EMP E, EMP2 E2, DEPT D
    WHERE E.EMPNO = E2.EMPNO(+)
    AND E.DEPTNO = D.DEPTNO(+)
    AND E2.PRIMARY_EMPLOYEE(+) = 'Y'

    http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/OTN/f?p=267:226

As far as I can see, it works properly - except that if I do a filter on the ename column, when I try to create a second filter, drop-down lists ename all the values, while the other columns list only the available values after having applied the first filter. Which seems strange that the filters are applied as ANDS. But it does the same thing for other areas - IE, the field used in a filter is not filtered for the second filter - so I guess this is normal, but only a person in Apex could probably explain why it is so.

Otherwise, everything seems to work as I expect and the above page works the same as my test page, which uses external joins http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=267:224

Partition is already there, on the column of code_combination_id of gl_balances21 and gl_code_combinations21.

    Please suggest.

    Thank you

    It's your mistake:

    PARTITION BY RANGE ("CODE_COMBINATION_ID")

but in your projection of column list, you have an alias he:

    "GL"."GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS21"."CODE_COMBINATION_ID" "CCID",

You must use the alias as a partition key, not the name fom the secondary table column.

  • Document windows does not use all the available on new monitor display area

    Hello

    I have a new monitor - a Benq BL2711.

I have set up as my secondary monitor on display in Windows 8.

I can put Photoshop (CS6) on this screen and maximize the it, but there is a vast space not used in the document window, which is not used. I want to show a lot more of my images that I can currently, but the document window will not only fill all that screen real estate. A large part of it is lost.

The panels occupy the right space to the bottom of the screen, but the window of the document (or the display area?) uses only 60% of the height of the screen.

What is a limitation or do I have to configure something? (I have reset the workspace of photography).

    Thanks for any help

    Nick

It is really a shot in the water, but it's the space used by the "timeline" Panel when it is open. Try to check in the menu window and close the bottle.

Other that that, there are always some good old Reset preferences. Make sure you save the custom actions/brushes/presets and so forth first!

  • Model for PK not used on the tables of objects

When uttering a primary key for a table of objects, the model for the primary key name is not used. SDDM (3.1.4 and earlier versions) is the addition of the string 'Oid_' before the name of the primary key table by default. So instead of "TABLE1_PK", the default name is "Oid_TABLE1_PK". It looks like the model is used by the object tables.

    Hello

You must EXPAND WINDOW and LOCK SUBSCRIBERS before consuming the CDC data:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E14571_01/integrate.1111/e12643/data_capture.htm#ODIDG283

Subsequently, you unlock Subscriber and purge the log.

Better to put a package to automate the whole thing.

  • Oracle 10.2.0.4 Index on the time stamp column not used when SYSTIMESTAMP is used.

    Hello
I have a table with a timestamp (6) column B. About 300000 rows in the tables...
I created index 'idx' on column B.

When I compare the column 'B' with systimestamp, it does not use the index, whereas if I compare 'B' with sysdate it uses the index.

    For example:
    Select count (*) in a b where clause < = sysdate;

The above used the subscript "idx" and executed in 1 second

    Select count (*) in a b where clause < = systimestamp;

The foregoing does not use the index and performed in 19 seconds.

    Any clue?

    Thanks in advance

Oracle uses the internal functions when you use SYSTIMESTAMP:
