Include the file name on the exported JPEG files

Is possible to overlay a file name on an export jpeg?

I create JPEG files for my site and wish I could auomaticaly overlay on the image, the file name. This will allow viewers to the site identify the image. I managed to overlay a watermark, but not the name of the file.

I would like the image to look as it would in the slideshow module. Which allows a file name to be superimposed on the image.

I use Lightroom 3 with Windows 7 64 bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rob,

It has no function in LR to add overlays of text on the exported images. You can take a look at LR/Mogrify for this ability. I've not used myself, but know about its capabilities.

  • How to keep metadata on the exported JPEG files?

    I be image editing in Lightroom for a while, but I don't have to pay attention to the issue of metadata so far. I need the metadata for geotagging my photos, but the problem I encounter is that after I have change in Lightroom and export to JPEG gets none of the info that comes in the RAW files exported with them (as the date and time of photos were taken, the settings of camera and lenses, etc.).

    These are the settings of the catalog that I use:

    Catalog settings.jpg

    When I try to synchronize my JPEG photos with all GPS-files they only detect the time and date the pictures where edited or updated the and not the date and real time photos were taken.

    Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Make sure that "Minimize embedded metadata" is disabled in the export dialog.

  • Select the resolution for the export jpeg or png

    Hello
    How to set the resolution of an image when you export in jpeg or png?
    I imported a 300 x 150 cm in 150 dpi PNG image, I did a small crop, then when I want to always export to 150 dpi, but photoshop automatically changed my resolution to 72 dpi. When I go to export preferences, I can't see or edit the default 72 dpi value, I can see how to set the resolution of the new document, but only for export.

    On illustrator, I can choose the resolution when I save my image but for photoshop, I don't know...

    I hope I was clear enough, thank you very much for your help

    If you want to keep the ppi, you do a save as.

    Export (and save for Web) are designed for web images, where PPP is not relevant. For the display, only pixel issue dimensions.

    You can also open the image exported in Photoshop, go to Image > Image size, and then change the ppi in 150, with Resample unchecked.

  • I've updated my LightRoom to 5.7 and now my exported JPEGs (recorded with 100% quality) look blurry!

    It was perfect with the previous version, but now my blurry pictures. I used the tool sharpness in LR, but I do not see the effect on the exported JPEG files. My LR is the stand-alone version.
    lr_quality.png
    Any ideas? I use LR for the job.

    Sharpness applied to develop module is only shown correctly at the 1:1 or more and must be applied to the 1:1 or more. I think you want to of course that there is no difference of switching between library and develop at 1:1.

    Your jpg gives to think that you have applied a lot of sharpness, detail, because this will have a similar effect on my photos.

    Im hoping that Lightroom 6 will have the same resizing algorithms in develop module as a library module.

  • Exporting JPEG files: artifacts of the image will not disappear

    This seems to be a problem with InDesign in general. For reasons that I will not enter, it is an asset of the image that is printed to 700dpi. When I export a JPEG from InDesign, I get the really strange image artifacts that won't disappear soon whatever I do.

    Detail of the normal JPEG image at 72 dpi:

    Screen Shot 2015-05-05 at 10.33.09 AM.jpg

    Export InDesign JPEG at 72 dpi:

    Screen Shot 2015-05-05 at 10.33.21 AM.jpg

    Any ideas? When I export to higher than 72 dpi, I always get these bands, they are just spaced farther because of the higher resolution. But they are still there.

    Can't do.

    But here's the thing... maybe he can. Experienced professionals who need quality JPEG output simply don't pursue through the export of InDesign, and so perhaps the process has not been explored and optimized by anyone who is interested and competent enough to nail down.

    Little you won't context:

    For the regulars of the forum, sometimes it feels like there is a parade without end of relatively inexperienced users, who expect an application to do everything, or they come here to share their dismay over the fact that "even Microsoft Word has this unit or this automatic function... I would have never expected a plant like InDesign to be so far behind... "There is no shortage of bizarre and convoluted workflows based on 'it allows me to do that, which means I should...". "Troublesome JPEG export InDesign and workflow built around it are common themes in the recurring nightmare.

    So please forgive us for expected is not to that:

    I have a workflow that uses applescript droplets to export a JPG of each print file reference to be included in the packages sent to print...

    This is yet another example of erroneous workflow (automated yet), I think that you would have received more sympathetic responses if we had known, even if the result was no different.

    The path of the file is the full description where the file is located in the language of the operating system, including drive, directory and file name and extension.

    In the above example, the file path combines the two circled items-"E:\Webpix" and "BleedingHeart.JPG", the path to the file would be "E:\Webpix\BleedingHeart.JPG".  If you do not have an equal sign in the name of the file, you must have one in the folder or the equivalent.

  • The file name can be printed on the exported images?

    I use LR 3.5 and wonder if I can get the names of files on the images when I export show them.  If so, how to make that happen?  I'm already tattoo a copyright script, which I suppose I could change to include the name of the image, but that would be quite tedious to do.  I guess that there is an easy way to do what I didn't find.  Thank you!

  • File name of the exported data/pdf control

    I have the LiveCycle Forms that internal auditors use to record their findings of the audit. These forms will be used by many different and subject to quality through a Submit by email button. Is there a way to control the name of the exported data file.

    For example: the first form control number is APL-11-001. Is it possible to include this information in the name of the exported file? Ideal would be to include the date of completion of verification the user selected in the form and their surname (family name is a separate textfield of their name on the form).

    Hello

    You can, but not without a bit of extras script AND a large number of maintenance issues.

    Take a look at this long thread (with examples): http://forums.adobe.com/message/3126855#3126855.

    This is considered a security concern by Adobe and is limited. You must have a JavaScript file to the folder level in a game on the computer of EACH user folder using the form.

    Good luck

  • Substitute the name of the export file

    Hello world

    I have a question to which I see not asked in the forum.

    I want to replace the standard behavior of exporting files to the target system by loading a file exported once again if the POV has not been validated because loading the latest data of the target. This is to speed up the loading of lots (we charge POVs 1500 nightly Essbase). So, I need to replace the name of the export of the files, because they are not unique and file names can be used multiple times for different POVs.

    Is it possible to do this in an action script? I see that strFile occurs as a parameter in the function for BefExportToDat calls, ActExport etc. I wasn't able to find an API function for this yet and manipulate the tPOVPartition.PartLastExpFile for the location was not the thing that this entry is overridden in the background after export.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Hauke

    Hauke,

    At this point I don't think it is a bug. I did the same thing. Each POV should be a file with a 4 digit number. Please keep in mind that a POV is a time/place/category. And since you cannot have the same name of place, I don't see how this could happen.

    Before you start down this situation "bug or no bug '; You can talk with the Support of Oracle. You want to make sure that you can reproduce the problem with ZERO customizations.

  • Including the items hidden in the export file?

    GDay,

    It seems not that I have my job to export button I have problems with the export of the hidden columns?
    I have updated PLSQL Expression

    apex_application.g_excel_format = TRUE

    but the columns still not displayed in the export? The thing strange sound works well with

    apex_application.g_excel_format = FALSE

    on my box of the columns. Basically, I want to hide the box objects as they return no value and
    display the values hidden values check box.

    See you soon

    Hello

    You have checked the option display for the column? If you have it check again and rely on the APEX_APPLICATION. G_EXCEL_FORMAT = TRUE or APEX_APPLICATION. G_EXCEL_FORMAT = FALSE to hide/show the columns instead.

  • Virtual copies come first in the exported files?

    Is there a good reason why the virtual copies, coming after the original in the library file, are named in a way that causes them to come before in the game exported JPEGs?  IE - ogfile.jpg and ogfile - 2.jpg.  When sorting by file name, the virtual copy is the first!  This totally counter-intuitive.  The original files should get a suffix-1 or the virtual copy must be named in the order.  Or am I missing something?

    Lightroom uses the suffix "-2" to avoid name conflicts. The first pictures are exported with the file name that you set in the export dialog box. Since the two your master and VC were exported with the same file name - there is no way to avoid conflict, but to add a suffix.

    If you want your master to have a "-1" suffix, you can control it by choosing a model of export file name, which includes a sequence # variable. For example:

    -

    This will give you the expected results:

    • ogfile - 1.jpg
    • ogfile - 2.jpg
  • I tried a trial version of lightroom 6 and edited hundreds of photots I need to find the export files are small non-printable, about 600 kbs. So I bought lightroom 6 hoping to save my changes on all the photos. However with my purchase of more than a week

    I tried a trial version of lightroom 6 and edited hundreds of photots I need to find the export files are small non-printable, about 600 kbs. So I bought lightroom 6 hoping to save my changes on all the photos. However with my purchase of more than a week, my picture exports are still about 600 kbs. Not printable! I'm signed and registered. Whats happening?

    Looks like you have been in the library module and chose with a preset export or export to email. Whatever it is, your Presets 'export' were to reduce the size of the image exported to about 600 k.

    In Lightroom, the library module and under the file menu, simply select the Word Export. Who will open another dialog box. GO through each option in this dialog box to choose where you want to export the file, what color space to use, what name to give to each folder, what metadata to include and do not forget to select the export size! I included a few screenshots for your reference.

    If you export exactly the same path several times, you can create your own export preset to make this process faster.

  • Include the attribute custom report (Export-Csv)

    I am writing a script to report on disk / the use of the capacity for each virtual machine in the environment.

    I try to include a column in the generated report (CSV), which includes the CustomField/CustomAttributes for each virtual computer as well as the news of disk capacity.  The report runs fine, but after you export the report to CSV (Export-Csv using) the newly created column just to the custom attribute field displays the following parameters for each line/entry:

    VMware.VimAutomation.ViCore.Impl.V1.Util.ReadOnlyDictionary'2 (System.String, System.String)

    When I use out-file it works, but formatting is very obscured...

    Here's the function/script that I use, I 'bolded in Red' the part of the script which I believe is the origin of the problem:

    Function Get-VMGuestDiskUsage {}
    (param
    [parameter (valuefrompipeline = $true required = $true, HelpMessage = "enter an entity vm")]
    ([VMware.VimAutomation.ViCore.Impl.V1.Inventory.VirtualMachineImpl] $VM)
    {in process
    $ErrorActionPreference = "SilentlyContinue".
    foreach ($disk in $VM. Guest.Disks) {}
    $objDisk = new-Object System.Object
    $objDisk | Add-Member - MemberType NoteProperty-VM name-value $VM. Name
    $objDisk | Add-Member - MemberType NoteProperty-name of Volume-value $disk. Path
    $objDisk | Add-Member - MemberType NoteProperty-CapacityMB name-value ([math]: round ($disk.) Capacity / 1 MB))
    $objDisk | Add-Member - MemberType NoteProperty-FreeSpaceMB name-value ([math]: round ($disk.) FreeSpace / 1 MB))
    $objDisk | Add-Member - MemberType NoteProperty - percent use of name-value ('{0:p2}' f (($disk.))) Capacity - $disk. FreeSpace) / $disk. Capacity))
    $objDisk | Add-Member - MemberType NoteProperty-name CustomFields-value ($VM. CustomFields)
    $objDisk
    }
    }
    }

    Get - VM * | Get-VMGuestDiskUsage | Export-Csv - NoTypeInformation c:\scripts\output\test.csv

    Any help is greatly appreciated!  Also please let me know if I did a poor job explaining the scenario and what I'm after here.

    Hello, jSun311-

    Because the property "CustomFields" itself is an object, and you try to get out of the strings to the CSV format, you must manage the object.  You can replace the line in question by something like:

    $objDisk | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name CustomFields -Value (($VM.CustomFields | %{"$($_.Key) = $($_.Value)"}) -join ",")

    Which would result in the output for the column that might look like:

    dTestAttrib0 = someValue,dTestAttrib1 = AnotherValue

    In other words, there is a list separated by characters of the key/value pairs in the CustomFields property for the virtual machine.

    In addition, if you are interested, you might be able to clean up your code a bit by using the '-property ' New-Object parameter.  As:

    ...foreach ($disk in $VM.Guest.disks) {    New-Object PSObject -Property @{        VM = $VM.Name        Volume = $disk.Path        CapacityMB = [math]::Round($disk.Capacity / 1MB)        FreeSpaceMB = [math]::Round($disk.FreeSpace/1MB)        "Usage%" = "{0:p2}" -f (($disk.Capacity - $disk.FreeSpace) / $disk.Capacity)        CustomFields = ($VM.CustomFields | %{"$($_.Key) = $($_.Value)"}) -join ","    } ## end new-object} ## end foreach...

    In this way, you shouldn't bother with calls Add-Member and repetitive cases here.  Enjoy.
