  Preferences:

  1. click on Configuration, preferences should be the 3rd option

  Language of access:

  1. from preferences, language should be option 1

  2. English is usually the 1st option in the language menu

• Cannot return to the English language in the control panel of the HP Officejet 6600

  Hi, I'm in the middle of the 6600 Officejet installation (part number: CZ155A). The first screen on the LCD monitor displays the different available languages. I acidentally chosen a language not English and tried to browse the rest of the parameters, including the installation of the ink cartridge, thinking that I'm able to find the language to take back me to the English. But now I'm completely stuck in the middle of a foreign language setting.

  Have not yet installed a software CD. Main computer to use will be an Apple Imac.

  The printer control panel reads:

  My language guard bar spend 2 seconds, as I'm typing this message, it will sort of "CTRL + Tab" me out of the slot hit the language bar and back next dry it will bring me.

  I used to have entered Chinese: he will reverse Chinese Chinese Chinese Eng of entry... But now I removed all just to minimize the problem.

  I read a few forum, I checked the region and language > location is set to the New Zealand.

  Now there is no language under keyboards and languages. NO - VACUUM

  Change keyboards > default input language is English New Zealand - US - ONLY! (used to have Chinese / Japanese etc. but removed)

  I do not have additional "installed Services" only English (New Zealand)

  I also put shortcut keys for lang None entry in the sequence of keys.

  I don't know what else to check, I have same anti-virus and seems well.

  Please help, this is driving me crazy.

  Input language settings are per application. An application that calls a Windows API to change the input locale, can set a different keyboard configuration, if it is enabled for the user.

  Sometimes also, if you accidentally press the keys ALT and SHIFT-LEFT together. If you do not want this behavior, you can "Uninstall" all languages/cultures of entry, you need not in the Panel control:

  Regional and Language Options > input languages and text Services

  I would also ask to open the registry editor and browse to the location:

  1. To open the registry editor, press Windows key + R and type regedit into the run window.
  2. Once you open the registry editor you set this registry entry:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MUI\UILanguages
  3. Check the list of language packs installed to the location of this registry.

• Cannot change the default input language

  Hi all

  I recently had to reinstall windows because my failed (second one) these SSD SSD are not very reliable. but this is not why I'm here. I have windows 7 ultimate 64-bit, and when I installed it I choose 101 Arabic as the input language. After completing the installation, I added US international at my keyboard and set it as the default input language. Now whenever I reset my system or disconnect the default language keeps going back to 101 Arabic.

  I tried to uninstall both languages, but that did not help. I also put the default Arabic language so that when I've reset, it will change to English (lol) but that didn't work either. I have an OEM version of windows if it makes a difference. any help would be appreciated.

  Try to copy your (Arab as the default input language) settings to the Welcome screen, system accounts and new accounts of user as described here:

  I use WordPad to write a lot of things and I can't find a spell checker on it. I send to my windows mail as it is the only one to send to. I try to use the spelling after copy and paste in windows mail, and it says that I can't check spelling because I use the languge wrong to do. Although I was able to do, I can't find a way to return to WordPad. This is the second time I have asked these questions, because some time ago I have it called Notepad. • HP ENVY laptop u200 CT: uefi in Chinese

  I had trouble with the BSOD with error Kernel_Security_Check_Failure.

  Attempted to access the UEFI screen to perform an audit of harware.  The function keys are not working.

  Finally got the function to work during restart button which brought me to the screen of the UEFI.  Yay!

  At the quick verification on the hard drive.  Everything was fine.

  When I tried to return to the main menu, click on the pad selects an option.  I double tapped the pad led me to the main screen and I guess as to the choice of language.

  Several frustrated taps led me to a UEFI screen in Chinese (I think).

  I am currently on a screen with 7 options.  The last 2 options have 2 characters on this subject.

  Any ideas on how to get out of another language screen and back to English?

  Any help is appreciated!

  I realized that I was in the main screen of UEFI.

  I clicked on the second to the last choice (corresponded to the language on the screen of the English) and sent back me to the language.

  Happy that I thought about it, but also happy that I have the forum when I can't puzzle of the things on my own.

• Reinstall Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.  It reinstalls in Norwegian instead of English.  How to fix this?

  I have 8.1 Windows on a desktop computer and run Acrobat Pro XI.  I get error 1328 when I update, so I uninstalled.  Relocation happens in Norwegian.  How can I change the language to English?

• Problem printer virtual 'Adobe PDF' with characters PDF of Mozilla

  I'm on a laptop HP with Win7x64 Pro with all the latest updates. I have this page http://www.neowin.net/news/adobe-flash-player-1700169 and I am posting on 3 browsers - Chrome, Mozilla and Pale Moon. Pale Moon is sort of built on basis of Mozilla and is essentially a stripped down version of Mozilla.

  Now in the case of "Mozilla" and "Pale Moon", I try to print a PDF of the above page, by pressing Ctrl + P and obtaining the standard print dialogue. I then choose "Adobe PDF" and normally I would get a normal PDF - search web page. At least that's what happened during the last 5 years of my use of Adobe Acrobat Pro and PDF Creator called 'Adobe PDF' (I think he called a virtual printer). Unfortunately when I print a PDF of the page above "Mozilla" and "Pale Moon", I get the PDF to the following research:

  

  With Chrome, however, when I "Print" or "Save as", a pdf version of the same page, the PDF file is OK... no problem with the text. The PDF file seems normal... the characters are in English, because they are supposed to be, only not crazy - looking as in the picture above.

  In addition, in Mozilla and Pale Moon, when I try to print the same page, instead of using "Adobe PDF" I choose "Microsoft XPS Writer" *.xps outputs properly document and the text is in English it is supposed to be, which led me to think that the problem is with virtual printer Acrobat.

  I had the same problem on Mozilla and Pale Moon with other sites, too. Just do not remember now who it was, but basically, it's the same thing as the screenshot above.

  Also go into the language and region settings > Administration > parameters system change in order to change the language used for non-Unicode programs. He was initially attached to the English and tried other languages and then back to English, but so far without success. Maybe I should choose a specific language? He left on the English, but the problem is still there... PLS help

  What I see are 2 possibilities:

  1. you have to "rely on system fonts. "selected. Uncheck the box which.

  2. (probably 1) fonts will not be embedded if is not licensed for embedding. Maybe it's a problem from a browser.

  Printing configuration file should not be a problem. That attempts to embed all fonts. You can uncheck remove logs too and see what is in the newspaper after the creation of the file. The log file can give clues on police issues.

• Drive is locked

  Hello, I disconnect accidentally my imac and when I try to put it back ON

  It does not to the main screen just stock OS X Utilities.

  I already check and repair the disk, but when I try to reinstall it says that my "disk is locked".

  I don't know what to do next or to unluck it.

  Set Permissions for a locked drive

  Open a Terminal in the Utilities folder. Paste the following commands at the command prompt. Press RETURN after each. The first command will be asked to enter your admin password. There are not displayed on the screen. After entering your password, press RETURN again.

  sudo chflags 0/Volumes / *.

  sudo chmod a + rx/Volumes / *.

  Killall Finder
