Increase the size of the directory tmp on host

Hi people,

I'm running into a little trouble when you try to install an application on a host computer, where in I need the /tmp/ directory is higher than what it is configured.

Y at - there anyway how I can change the value. ? or increase the size. ?

Thank you
Avinash

Hi people,

I discovered that it cannot be changed or increased since its hard coded and seems that VMware is working on feature request increase in size for the temp space because there are moments where the BAND dump is partial because of similar space issues.

Thank you
Avinash

    Hi all

I'm new in the ADF and use 12.2.1. I use af:inputfile to download the csv file in the database. It works very well with a small amount of data. But when I download a large file it shows me the error message as below:

    error.jpg

It is possible to increase the size of download of af: inputfile. Its urgent assistance please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

The maximum size of files that can be downloaded is configured in the web.xml file. the doc:

    Configuration

Because ADF Faces will temporarily store the files by default, incoming (on disk or in memory), it limits the size of acceptable incoming requests to avoid denial of service attacks that could try to fill a memory disk or a flood lasts with downloaded files. By default, only the first 100 kilobytes in any query will be stored in memory. Once that has been completed, will serve as disk space. Yet once, by default, which is limited to 2 000 kilobytes of disk space for a request for all of the files combined. Once these limits are exceeded, the filter will throw a EOFException . By default, files are stored in the temporary directory used by java.io.File.createTempFile() , which is generally defined by the system property java.io.tmpdir . Of course, this will not be sufficient for some applications, you can set these values using three of servlet context initialization parameters:

    oracle.adf.view.faces.UPLOAD_MAX_MEMORY

    512000

    oracle.adf.view.faces.UPLOAD_MAX_DISK_SPACE

    5120000

    oracle.adf.view.faces.UPLOAD_TEMP_DIR

    / tmp/aDFUploads /.

  • I want to increase the size of the history panel

I just upgraded to v. v. 34 17.0.1. In the old version, I could open the story as a full panel and see the places and dates in chronological order. Now, even if I have the "View > by date and site" option is selected, I can only see sites. Also, when I try to increase the size of the Group story to pause the cursor on the edge, the two-headed arrow icon does nothing.

There is a minimum (min-width: 14em ;) and maximum (max-width: 36em ;) for the sidebar and you can not drag icon resizer beyond this limit.))

Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #sidebar { min-width:0px !important; max-width:none !important; }

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
    • Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
    • Use a text editor like Notepad to create a userChrome.css (new) file in the folder chrome (file name is case sensitive)
    • Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the Editor window
    • Make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
    • Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css.
Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not userChrome.css.txt file
  • Publish with the increase in size of the readers

    Hi all

I have a seemingly common problem, but unfortunately common solutions do not seem to apply.  I have a VM that I migrated to ESXi 4 5.1 a year ago and have used without problem.  Recently, it has become necessary to increase the size of main drive of the 60 GB original but the size options are grayed out.  I checked and it is y no snapshot files or y at - it hard < 0000 files > in the directory of the virtual machine in the data store.  I even created a new snapshot, then used the "clear all" button to make sure that all of the snapshots are gone, but the size options are still grayed out.  I tried the upgrade virtual hardware then in the VM properties, I see that the version is vmx-09 that I understand is the latest version.  The disk is a thick accrued lazy set to zero that I thought that maybe part of the problem, so I added a new thin provisioned disk and I can't increase the size of this one either.  It seems to be limited to this virtual machine, but as I have other VM is present on this server I can increase the size of the disk without any problem even if I have not updated the virtual hardware for those so that they are always to version 7 (I don't know if this matters).

So I'm quite positive, there is no snapshot or snapshot files, I updated the latest material available, and I'm sure that the type of disc is not serious because it seems to apply to thin provisioned and drop discs thick.  I'm out of ideas.  Any help would be appreciated!

    Kind regards

    Hi Tim,.

Have you tried to add additional SCSI disk (which adds the controller and drivers needed). Do a clean reboot then switch your IDE to SCSI and if successful (after other clean reboot) remove the new drive that you have added. By doing this, you are making sure the drivers for the controller are installed before switching types.

    See you soon,.

  • How to increase the size of the disk partition VMware Studio.

    Hello

I installed the VMWare Studio unit on ESX 4.0 host system. I've been running more disk space for builds, so I wanted to provide more space for the SCSI in ESX, Edit-settings of the Virtual Appliance. I increased the size to 256 GB SCSI disk.

I then went to the guest VMWare Studio system, and the device/dev/sda5 displays always only 30 GB, and 12 GB is exhausted. How can I make the Guest OS from VMWare Studio unit see the increase in size?

I tried to use "parted", but this fails because/dev/sda5 is mounted. "' I can't umount/dev/sda5 as/dev/sda5" is ongoing. " I am aware of the 1004047 of the Knowledge Base article, but it is of no use, because is not specifically for VMWare Studio unit.

    Thank you.

If you have a lot of disk space on the ESX Server, yes creating and adding a new virtual disk (vmdk) to the VM Studio is the way to go. Mount the new drive for the Studio colleagues OS (Ubuntu), and the key is/opt/vmware/www/build simple installation on the new disk to create the new space drive for Studio use. Don't forget to back up your existing data in this directory first. See http://communities.vmware.com/thread/244715?tstart=0 for the similar explanation. Let us know how it goes.

    Hello.

I used an installation based on the script to trackle this problem of disk split into two partitions

    1. Create disk configuration

    Cat < < EOFdisk > >/tmp/diskconfig

    clearpart - alldrives - overwritevmfs

    part/boot - fstype = ext3 - size = 1100 - onfirstdisk

    No part - fstype = vmkcore - size = 110 - onfirstdisk

    part $: esxconsole - fstype = vmfs3 - size = 40000 - maxsize = 40000 onfirstdisk - part $: local - fstype = vmfs3 - size = 40000 - grow - onfirstdisk

    VirtualDisk esxconsole - size = 16607 - onvmfs = $: esxconsole

    party swap - fstype = swap - size = 1600 - maxsize = 1600 - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".

    part/var - fstype = ext3 - size = 4000 - maxsize = 4000 - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".

    part/home - fstype = ext3 - size = 2000 - maxsize = 2000 - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".

    part / opt - fstype = ext3 - size = 2000 - maxsize = 2000 - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".

    part/tmp - fstype = ext3 - size = 2000 - maxsize = 2000 - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".

    part / - fstype = ext3 - size = 5000 - push - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".

    EOFdisk

In the post installation, you can format the secondary drive

    vimsh - not hostsvc/storage/refreshment

    sleep 5

    / usr/sbin/vmkfstools - c b 2 M s $ESXHOSTNAME vmfs3: local /vmfs/devices/disks/mpx.vmhba0:C0:T0:L0:6 > > /var/log/PostInstall.log

    See you soon,.

  • Is it possible to increase the font size on web pages? I can increase the size of the page but then lose the ability to see the entire page.

I've just updated El Capitan, but the font size on web pages went all teeny weeny.

I was wondering if we could increase the font size? The page can expand via "zoom in", but then lose the ability to view the web page in the blink of an eye.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes.  Open the Terminal app and type the following command followed by the Enter key or return:

    : write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2MinimumFontSize - int XX

(triple click on the line to select it to copy and paste into the Terminal application).

Change the XX to the font size you want as the minimum font by default.

Or you can use a css style sheet.  This site describes it and the Terminal method: specify Minimum font size in Safari 10.0, macOS Sierra

    No, it's not simple.
Create another folder, move some mail on it and make room and compact in the file menu that Thunderbird always has a 4 GB limit on mail to be held in a local folder. IMAP account apparently can be greater. POP cannot.

About the image below, I don't see a way in the settings to increase the sizes of police in this area.

I wrote about this here: http://xenos-email-notes.simplesite.com/417754775

Try the add-on says. An alternative is to do it via a userChrome.css file if you have a strong aversion to the modules.
