  I have a problem with InDesign on Mac OSX 10.9.3 CS6 and I'm really desperate now...

  I installed the CS6 Master Collection a few days ago... all programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects TE) work well, but InDesign does not work.

  When I try to start it, it suddenly crashes during (or immediately after) step "beginning upward Service Registry:

  I bought Adobe Indesign by Kivuto Solutions Inc. by the end of 2015 to my PC. Unfortunately my PC had to be replaced and we bought a mac computer.  I contacted Kivuto and they said that indesign was built multi and that I would be able to load it on my mac computer.  Unfortunately I can not open the creative.adobe.com site that was sent to me by someone in the Solutions of Kivuto, and I'm totally frustrated because there is nobody to talk to me through my problem actually to kivuto the Canada or at adobe.  I'd appreciate it if someone could help, I thank you.

  If you have a subscription, you just install the application of cc on your mac desktop and connect you with the adobe tied to your subscription id in order to install indesign via cc desktop app.

  You may connect with the creative cloud desktop application (found in the menu bar on the Mac or the taskbar in Windows). Click on the "gear" icon > Preferences > General > Sign Out. Then sign in with your new code of Adobe.

  There is no sensible way (that I know of) to convert HDMI to VGA and have everything continue to work.

  I suggest get you an adapter Mini DisplayPort to VGA and plug on the Thunderbolt port (Mini DisplayPort is a subset of the Thunderbolt).

  Yes, it is better to update the old Mac EC.

  Make sure that you back up the old Mac before the upgrade.

  I read a few threads recent re: problems with the last update InDesign 2015 CC but none are quite the same as my question.

  I am running OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6 on an iMac. I was able to update Illustrator CC 2015.3 this morning without problem, and all other CC applications that I have installed are up-to-date and it seem to work OK.

  When I tried to run CC updates of Adobe Application Manager this morning, I've updated Illustrator without problem, as I said. But InDesign had finished its update. After a few minutes of progress, he found himself at 99%. I closed all other and just waited, but it would not solve or complete the update. I waited about 30 minutes.

  I leave the Application Manager and restarted my machine, tried again, the same result.

  I hunted around on boards for solutions and those, including the verification of the permissions of preferences (they write), tried to rename the 1.0 file, etc. None of this has helped.

  I uninstalled (running uninstaller in the InDesign application folder) and reinstalled in the Application Manager, choosing to save preferences. Again the installer stopped at 99% and stayed there for more than 20 minutes.

  I uninstalled again and reinstalled again, this time, allowing preferences should be deleted. Once again the installer stopped at 99% for 20 minutes and counting.

  I get no error messages, a failure just to complete the updates.

  This type of installation failures / crashes occurs generally if you have problems with the network.

  If you use a wireless connection, we recommend to use a patch cable.

  Thank you Michael. I will remember that if this happens again. In the end, it fixed itself! After an hour or two of hand frozen, I left for a while and when I got back, everything was very good! I think that there is a first time for everything!

  OK, that means it is a problem in the user profile files, probably the permissions on the folders preference for InDesign. You can try to replace the prefs (see replace your preferences), but most likely that will not work, then you must delete or rename the two hidden folders (the paths are in this link), then copy the two files from the user to work.

• How can I correct the installed fonts which are not correctly displayed in InDesign 2015?

  I use InDesign 2015.2 on Windows 7.  I'm working on a document and you want to use a family of fonts installed on my computer.  Not all fonts display correctly in the window however.  When I select some fonts to a paragraph style, they appear as symbols and glyphs.  These fonts appear in the drop-down type (and an example of the face appears in the drop-down list).  They work very well in other applications Adobe, such as Illustrator.  No idea why I can't get to work in InDesign?  TIA!
