InDesign 5.5 constant crashing Lion (new installation). Help, please.

I had a constant battle to get InDesign to work on my iMac since the installation of Lion.

I erased from my hard drive twice to reinstall the system from scratch (installation of Snow Leopard first, then Lion - all my backups Time Machine in SnowLeopard were replaced by a single Lion so I can't go back to Leopard without losing all my preferences for other backup applications).

I also deleted all fonts, both with library and FontAgent Pro.

I even used an Admin user new and clean, but after installing InDesign 5.5 (seen previously not unhooked it and deleted the folder Adobe Indesign preferences in my library (now hidden)), the problem persists. I HAVE WORK TO DO!

Here is the crash report. If anyone can help, I'll be SO grateful... fingers crossed someone will spot something.

Follow the mentioned below as follows: -.

Solution 1: Delete the Datastore SING folder.
  1. Quit InDesign (force quit, if necessary).
  2. Move to the following folder on the Office:
    Mac OS: [Startup drive] / library/application Support/Adobe/SING/Mark II/Datastore
    Note: This is in the library folder on the root of your startup disk. There is a similar course in your user folder, but this isn't the path, you have to work in. Windows 7/Vista: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SING\Mark II\Datastore
    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\SING\Mark II\Datastore
  3. Relaunch InDesign.
  4. Try to reproduce the problem.

If the problem is NOT resolved with the above solution, proceed to Solution 2.

Solution 2: Remove the component to SING.

Note: Users who do not file .indd users receive ideogram of InDesign versions can function perfectly without the "SING" component.

  1. Quit InDesign (force quit, if necessary).
  2. Move to the following folder on the Office:
    Mac OS: [Startup drive] / library/application Support/Adobe/SING/Mark II
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Fichiers Files\Adobe\SING\Mark II
  3. Relaunch InDesign.
  4. Try to reproduce the problem.

    I suggest that you try to update the audio drivers to their latest version. Don't simply check Windows Update, but the site of the manufacturer of the sound card as well.

    Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player.  I recommend that you try the links below to see how they play.  If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit because the HTML5 video link doesn't use Flash Player during playback.  You can check this by clicking on the HTML5 video and look for the words "On HTML5" at the bottom of the menu.

    Since installing Firefox 9.0.1 YESTERDAY evening on my iMac, which is running OSX v. 10.5.8, Firefox hangs now every few minutes. It often happens that I'm going from one site to the other - when I click on a site referenced to my favorites, Firefox crashes as the following website is coming. I've NEVER had this problem with Firefox before. I need to uninstall it and go back to the previous version of Firefox, but OSX is not a simple routine "back to the previous configuration. Or...     Open the Task Manager, click more details .

    Close all the Adobe of the tasks as AAMupdater, declaring AAMupdater, demon Adobe Crash of the related task manager.

    Please also look for a process named creative cloud, CoreSync, Armsvc, Acrotray, Windows Installer... etc so far please complete the process.

    Then try updating creative cloud.

    In addition to what Shawn said, there should be a key you can hit while the manufacturer of your computer display... before starting windows... To RESET or RESTORE factory.

    More pre-installed machines have a key such as F12 or something to do.

    My HP laptop for example, forces me to hit ESC. It will then display a menu of different options.

    I have the CS5 program I had when I was in school in 2009/2010. The laptop that I got the program installed on a gone. Broken. I'm trying so install the program in my new laptop, that I bought just for my photography. I called technical support that works with Adobe and they said I had to pay $120 for them to cancel the program on the other computer and reinstall it on my new.     That does not sound like you contacted Adobe.  Contact them via chat and ask them to reset your activations.  Ask no more than that.  Reinstall it to yourself

    Hello community, I'm very new to using the flash (approx. 1 week) and have a few questions.

    1. I was the creation of symbols to my library, but how to create a symbol WITH an animation in the annex? I create movie clip symbols and animate, but the symbol in the library is not animation, just graphics.

    2. my second question is what is the workflow when creating a flash animation? Make you every asset separately and animate separately, then put them all together? Or well, you create all the assets in a single project and animate as you move forward?

    1. If you create a movieclip symbol you can change its calendar (or code) comes alive as an autonomous object that lives in the library.  Just create a new MovieClip symbol and build the animation in the timeline and you should find it is what you have in the library.   If that is not clear to you... Create a movieclip symbol and then double click it in the library of... to open it for editing where you can see his chronology is waiting for you to build in.

    2. There is no fixed forumla for the design of animations in a Flash file.  Just learn to create and you will you will hopefully, see how you can use different approaches for different effects.

  • MX7 Installer Help please

    I installed ColdFusion MX7 Enterprise on my server Unix of Fedora Core 4 (Plesk 8). It is installed in the directory deafult/opt/coldfusionmx7/and the installation went well.

    To access my Admin Panel, I was told to go to the next http://72.35.76.29:8500/CFIDE/administrator/login.cfm where ip address is the address of my server. Also told me to try http://72.35.76.29/CFIDE/administrator/login.cfm without the port, because it needed only the port number for a debian installation which is not my case, I have a Unix on Fedora Core 4 installation.

    As you can see the administrator Panel does not come to the top. I do not know how to access the control panel and need help, I tried everything.

    I have configured plesk, he sees the ColdFusion and works but there is no way for me to access the admin panel which in turn does not help me a lot. Please help... What do I do?

    Try to access to http://servername:8500/cfide/administrator/index.cfm. I think that by default plesk does not alter the httpd.conf file to add index.cfm as default file for the directory.

    Selections and change the selections with Photoshop tools, filters, settings etc. Work on layers.

  • Adobe Illustrator crashes at startup.  Help, please.

    I tried recording/departure of the creative cloud and it does not work.   I read that it is perhaps a thing of police but I can't seem to find the fonts folder.  I launched other applications and they work; It lies with Illustrator.

    Your problem may be a corrupted project (need to start the project) or after you move the files that is declining not yet correctly (crash rather than show an error) or similar.
