  It was a problem with InDesign to crash at launch on a Windows computer due to files MSVCR120.dll. below are the steps to solve the problem:

  1 reset the InDesign preferences (from records the and itinerant) please see: InDesign and locations of support Preferences

  I have 8.1 HOME EDITION which obviously allows anyone to turn Aero shake.

  Disable Aero Shake feature via Local Group Policy Editor does not work because the home edition does not have the Group Policy Editor.

  Tried editing the registry-

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer NoWindowMinimizingShortcuts = 1
  but it seems that once more the HOME EDITION does not because it doesn't work too!

  Technically, Vista has not "Aero Peek".  Glance itself, it's what has been added to Windows 7, where you can view full screen (at a glance) without changing entirely.

  Instead, Vista has the taskbar thumbnails, and I guess that's what you're talking about really.

  Fortunately, these are easy to change.  Simply right-click in your taskbar, go to properties and uncheck this box.

  Is the window you move minimizing all of a sudden, or is it all the other windows on the desktop?
