InDesign crashes when you forward an article with content Overlay Web - have checked the forums

I do a folio for my design portfolio in InDesign CC

I currently have a downloaded article, when I try to add my next article InDesign crashes.

I previously downloaded the article without the overlay of unique web content, and it downloads very well.

The status bar is stuck at the end "folio of construction...". Treatment of overlays... »

The content is a simple web form and is only on page 6/6 - do not know why it freezes by adding a small page on the end.

Today, it worked. Has not changed anything good! So don't know what it means?

    Hi kathyd,.

    ·        You did changes to the computer before this problem started?

Since we do not know what is causing this problem, I'd suggest unanimous the event viewer on your computer and check the details in the window logs messages/error codes important related to the question, during the time where this problem occurs and after return.

Event logs can help you identify and diagnose the source of current system problems or help you predict potential system problems.

Access the link below to learn how to view and manage the event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

You can try to start both computers in safe mode and check if it can open the folder where the MPEG 2 files are stored and if windows Explorer crashes. To boot to the desktop in safe mode keep tapping key F8 during restart. Once you see the option to start in safe mode select and press to enter.

  • Crashing when you use dynamic linking with legacy

I use Prime Minister for some time now, but I think I have background a huge loophole in the system of dynamic links. I am owner of a multi-million dollar company that specializes in searching for the answer for X divided by zero and this bug puts us thousands every day.

The problem is when you import a first draft in aftereffects and then reimport the same Premier model, the result is 8 GB of ram wasted in a few seconds with both applications crashing. As you will guess this kind of multiplication of our R & D type is unacceptable. Please correct.

  • InDesign crashes when you try to save IDML - even after reinstallation

I feel a little desperate here.

InDesign has decided to crash whenever I try to save something like IDML.

InDesign has decided to crash every time I try package a specific file that I need to provide for a sale of rights.

In the process, he damaged the file I tried to record and package. When it started, I felt compelled to disable the synchronization of files, because I can't afford simply to re-create the too many documents after that Indesign has trashed, so I should have still 'safe' copies online.

    What now?

I've deleted preferences, deleted the other layouts, remove all the styles and changed all the fonts Arial. That particular file still crashes when exporting record as IDML.

Funny you should ask. I move to the Office to have a clear space. Made no difference.

Finally I just made a new doc with the same characteristics, which took about 60 seconds, cut and pasted the content by propagation. 64 pages, it's 33 cut blocks. Each 16 pages or so I exported IDML, until it crashed, and I thought that it was page 60, so I divorced from objects on this page, images of reset to allow text on top, and it was fine.

It's a document originally created in 1998 in QuarkXpress, translated by Q2ID and content and design redesigned last year, so I guess that a gremlin cruft is not something to really complain. I was pleasantly surprised to see that cut and paste sheets imported style and properly linked images (nice work Adobe!).

  • LabVIEW application crashes when you exit a VI with one or several clients on remote control

    Hi all

This is the question that I met with LabVIEW 8.2 and LabVIEW 8.6. I publish one of the screws dynamically launch my application as a Web page. Then I load the application and launch this dynamic VI and connect to this VI by using a web browser from a PC intranet. Then if I try to exit from VI when the client is still connected to it, the application crashes. Please see the attached picture.
This behavior occurs randomly. Sometimes, everything works as expected when you exit the VI - the main screen of the application appears and in the client side, there is a "remote connection Panel is closed.
What could be the reason for this?

    Thank you
    Luxama

Oops... The method of 'Close links' to work correctly. I apologize for the error.

Regarding the issue of application crash, I did this close relationship, then wait a few milliseconds and then quit the VI. Today, the application seems to work very well.

In the meantime, I had another doubt. Is there a way to link to the application instead of a VI?

    Thank you
    Luxama

  • heritage site crashing when you try to save with Muse CC 2014

I'm trying to update a site I last saved on 20 September 2013 (not sure what version of Muse it was - could be a pre-release version). In any case, I can open it in Muse CC 2014 OK, but when I go to save him, Muse crashes immediately. The message I get is:

"Adobe Muse CC has encountered an error and will now close. Please report the last actions bit that you have taken to this error to the Adobe Muse CC team.

UID without an owner of database. ' UID: U1068 class: layer persistOwner:PagePageItem uid:U1065.

In addition, there is a newspaper of the accident.

No idea how I can get this file to save so I can update?

    Thanks in advance,

Brandon, please send us the .muse to [email protected] file as well as a link to this topic. If the file is larger than 20 MB, you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. (if you use a service, please include your email address in the body of the message back, given that not all services to include it in the invite sharing they send.)

The file contains damage that will require manual repairs.

FWIW, the same error would be reported if you have tried a save slot in some version of Muse that you used previously. Just do a save under is running diagnostics extended (and slow) file that allows to detect and report this type of damage. Muse forces a save as a file that is converted from an earlier version of Muse, attempt to save (in fact save under) after opening in new version reported this problem with the file. The damage was actually set up while using the previous version.

For the next release, we have changed our file format so that we will be able to run this diagnostic in a fraction of the time. In the future, this diagnostic will run primarily save or save under and prevent this type of damage to be ever recorded in a file.

  • 9.2 CC InDesign crashes when you open the data merge Panel

I have a document that is in a book (for multiple files) with cross-references to other documents in the book. I also almost all of the content in an inCopy assignment in order to manage in multiple versions/layouts with the same content. All references are separated InCopy as page numbers vary from book to book.

That said, so that other documents in the work of book very well, this one is having issues. Whenever I try to view the data merge Panel, it crashes. I had a similar problem with other files where if I try to select a merge data source it would break. I've solved the problem of the registration of a copy, the deletion of all pages of the document, by selecting the data merge source (who now works with any content on the pages), and then copy and paste the content on the pages back. Not sure why this works, but it did.

The problem is that I tried the same solution on this document and it worked until I tried to click on the data merge Panel after you follow these steps, inDesign crashes. If I open the data merge Panel, THEN open the document, it crashes as well.

I'll try to redo this with panel data fusion open while I copy and paste content back in and see if I can refine the problematic content if that is the question.

Other documents are open so that they are accessible?

  • InDesign crashing when you export a great book

I have a big InDesign book (159 records) who recently started crashing when I export all. The book was created years ago, and I can't understand what would cause this issue all of a sudden. Originally, I thought it was due to related referrals, I've recently added, because there the only thing that's changed on the book. But I removed all the cross references, and I always have the same question. I can export the first half of the book, the second half of the book, or even 3/4 of the book successfully. It's only when I try to export all what InDesign crashes.

I use the latest version of InDesign CS 5.5 on OS X 10.8.2.

I have another discussion posted on this (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5132896), but decided to start a new thread because the other was on referrals. Towards the end of this discussion, people started suggesting that it was only a problem with my computer - I don't have enough free space, etc. But I had my company IT guy look at the activity monitor, while I tried to export the book, and he assured me that my computer is completely capable to complete the export. This makes sense to me because I've always been able to export the book using that computer, and the book did not much larger or more complex.

A solution we found was to export the book as an interactive PDF instead of a PDF print. However, I was fighting more "BOLD" text on pages with transparency for years and export as interactive PDF seems to make this much worse. (For more information about this issue, see the following thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/421267.)

There is someone smarter than me who has a guess as to why I was able to export the book as an interactive PDF, but not as a PDF print? I hope that this new information will help in the fracas of troubleshooting.

Eureka! I've recreated the book from scratch, and I can export fine now. The book file must have been corrupted.

He sat at the bottom of my list of things to try all the time, but I never thought it would be the solution. I hope that if someone else has this problem, they fall upon this and try this first place last!

  • Finder crashes when you try to click with the right button on any file or icon

I'm on Capitan 10.11.3. Any icon on the desktop or in finder itself is affected. In addition, I can't open the app store or quicktime.

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    Step 1

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

Test while signed in as a guest. Same problem?

After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

    * Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create a new account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.

    Step 2

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is caused by changes in the system of third party that load automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Please take this step regardless of the results of step 1.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • InDesign crashing when you press on the incopy frame

    InDesign Cc2015

History imported InCopy Now - whenever the "InCopy" is touched by something else (graphic frame for example), or the width/height InDesign modified blocks it IE InDesign crashes about every 45 seconds - very boring - very very unproductive - any help appreciated

Could be corruption in the document. Try to save as IDML and reopening in InDesign.

  • Illustrator crashes when you save files .ai with images linked or embedded

    Hello

Currently, I have a huge problem with Adobe Illustrator. When I place an image file in an Illustrator document, the program hangs for about 45 seconds during recording. At first I though it was just because my image file was too big, but this was not the case.

To test what's going on I created a new document, has drawn a few lines and saved. No problem, Illustrator recorded immediately. Then I placed an image larger and suddenly hang Illustrator when recording. I repeated with a very small GIF of a few KB and again, hang Illustrator for nearly a minute when saving the image. I tried to embed the image instead of linking to it, but I still have the same results.

Then I turned of the visibility of the object image by clicking the eye symbol bit in front of the image object and suddenly Illustrator could save quickly again. The next thing I wanted to try was closed compression and PDF compatibility, but then I noticed that Illustrator is actually suspended before writing the file to disk. When I hit "save under" Illustrator was asked where to save the new file, and then after clicking on 'Save', it blocks (showing "(ne répond pas) ' in the title bar"). About 45 seconds later the save dialogue options came and when I clicked 'OK' he recorded the file immediately.

Does anyone know what could be the problem? I use Illustrator CS5 on Windows 7 x 64. The computer is a laptop with 8 GB of RAM and a switchable graphics card. I have tried this on both the Intel graphics integrated unit, as well as on the much more powerful AMD Chip. The hard driver that I record is the local hard drive (no network etc.).

It is a facility more or less fresh (I've not used before Illustrator on this notebook) and I don't remember that I had the same problem on my desktop where I used it inside a virtual machine (which no longer exists).

Strange events of the strangest things.

I have created a completely new profile on my machine and all of a sudden it worked although I copied the profile Adobe everything on the new profile of the user (except the AppData\Local files). I don't know what the problem was, but now it's obviously set.

  • Firefox crashes when you try to view SVG content

When you try to load the content created by the url below, firefox uses a lot of memory and would become insensitive, so that I have to close (and kill) it.

The same thing happens if I save the content in a file with a different browser (Opera, for example) and try to open this file.

I tried other machines. It works on windows but not on my SuSE and Ubuntu Linux (accurate). I tried without plug-ins and hardware acceleration disabled with firefox being reset.

Small graphics like http://pollux.informatik.uni-bremen.de:8000/Basic/Numbers.casl are no problem.

Ubuntu in firefox 16 that solves (part of) my problem

  • 6 inDesign crashes when you export a PDF file

I get the same report of crash for days, every time I try to export a PDF in InDesign CS6. I don't know what is happening with this particular file, but can I export other files without problem. I have deleted all links .indd and .ai and does not use the new fonts that won't export in other files. I tried to export single pages and the whole document, in different resolutions, and it crashes every time. I stuck my last report of accident here: INDESIGN 6 CRASH REPORT - Pastebin.com

Export the file to IDML and open that.

Note also that you must patch InDesign (help > updates) and CS6 is not taken in charge at 10.11.

  • InDesign crashes when you try to place text

I use InDesign to convert html into pdf documents: I usually place the html file and then run the script FindChangeByList which replaces the entire contents of the tags with my choice paragraph/character styles.

Given that the above html files are really rudimentary, it takes only two clicks away from over ten seconds for the program to run the script.

We're perfectly well until a few days ago when ID suddenly started taking hours to the documents, even those who had never had problems before. I tried to put html and other formats file with the same result.

Can someone tell me what problem there might be?

I am sure that I haven't changed anything in the configuration of ID or my pc, and I am currently working with InDesign CS4 on Windows Vista.

(I also tried to empty folders chace, to no avail)

    Thank you.

    Sabrina

The first thing to try when ID becomes flaky like this is to replace your preferences.

Adobe InDesign CS4 * set preferences

Export preset from dialog boxes "set" before doing so if you don't want to have to rebuild everything from scratch.
