  I could trash preferences when starting Indesign (CMD-Option-CTRL-Shift), but since it has not finished loading, I don't know if it worked.

  It worked fine yesterday.

  Found the answer in another forum, with instructions. Deleting the SING file solved the problem.

• Reissue of links images in InDesign CS3 does not work

  When I have an image that needs to be reprinted for the moment, I go to my links palette and double click on the name of the image. When the 'Link information' box appears, there is a button "Repeat" on the lower right. In CS3, for some reason, it allows me to click on it, but completely but won't let me not recreate a link to the image. This is the first time in 3 years of use of CS3, I have encountered this problem. Is there a fix, do I have to reload the program, change the preferences?

  So now, whenever I have to recreate a link to an image update, I have to close the file and reopen it to automatically update the links or click the link at the bottom of the links Panel and then it pops up the file folder box.

  Same fixed.  At executed license repair tool, Adobe - Adobe licensing repair tool, and it fixed the problem.

  If you have installed cs6 install the subscription, it will capture your license CS6. Common sense would have been to disable CS6 before install CC as CS6 contains its own (and better kind) CS6 software with more upgrades and possibilities than the old version in a box.

  If you can not install CS6 with your own serial number for this reason, you will need to contact Adobe to reset the activations.

  I don't see the program to start, but if I go to the "active processes management" I can see it running.

  Thus, the program starts, but I don't see its interface.

  My OS is W7 professional.

  This problem affects me for a week.

  Finally I got it! The problem was on the ID fields, where to load the application.

  I have two monitor, managed by the nView Desktop Manager. So ID has been busy away from my office, I know not why.

  But strangest of all, ID no was not shown in the application tab in the 'management of active processes.

  So I disabled the Manager the nview and ID appear.

  But it is a big bug ID, which Adobe has to manage.

  When I removed an inDesign placed in the file is then saved, and then I exported the Indesign placed in PDF file and placed it in the InDesign file.

  Hi, I use CS2 Web on my PC under Windows XP2, and I installed InDesign CS3 on the same computer. The installation went well. The software works well. The problem is that I received an InDesign file to a co-worker who is also running InDesign CS3, but I can't open the file. I get an error of my InDesign message telling me that it cannot open the file because I need to upgrade my version of the software (upgrade check tells me that there are no other updates available for my InDesign). In the HELP menu I check the version and I'm under InDesign 3.0.1. The packaging clearly says CS3 on it. But he insists on acting as if InDesign was only CS2 as the Web Suite that I have on the same PC (but I'm not runing this software at the same time as InDesign) and does not open the files of other users of InDesign CS3 in my office.

  All the files I created with my InDesign and sends to a work colleague appear to them as if they were introduced in CS2.

  This conflict is avoidable somehow? Or is the software designed to not be compatible with Adobe software to other versions on the same PC?

  What I wanted to say is: you have CS 3.0.1 and CS3 (5.0?) installed at the same time, but you double click on the new file and seeks to open it in CS 3.0.1.

• CS3 does not recognize Nikon Raw to Yosemite files

  Since the update to Yosemite on my MacBook Pro, CS3 no longer works correctly.

  Instead of thumbnails, Bridge displays icons for the Nikon NEF images. When I click the icon, it says "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this file type."

  When I try to open the image directly into Photoshop, I am presented with a window of Options Raw in Photoshop asked me to describe the dimensions of the image. (I don't know how to do anything else guess the size, and when the image opens, it looks like grey noise on an old TV screen).

  I reinstalled CS3, but problems remain.

  Who did the trick.

  I followed the instructions to manually install the plug in Camera Raw 4.6

  I had to purge the cache in Bridge, and once I did, the generic thumbnails became good images.

• PDF in InDesign files does not work

  Hi all, this is my first post on the Adobe community.  I have a problem arose last week and I'm going crazy.  Help, please!  I'm running on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.7.5.

  I have been using a workflow to create tables in InDesign for months without any problem:

  1 calculate a complex table in Excel

  2 paste the table into PowerPoint for formatting

  3. copy the table in PowerPoint, then paste it returned as a pdf image

  4 option-click on the pdf image on the slide to save it as a pdf file

  5. go to a picture InDesign who already has a linked picture, again the link to the new pdf file.

  This workflow has been very helpful because I have a lot of complex and carefully set tables in form, I need to get into InDesign.  Now, since upgrading both my Microsoft Office 2011 and my Adobe CS6 SW it does not.

  I can copy, paste-as-pdf, save the pdf file.   But when I try to link to it in InDesign we get the message "cannot open the pdf file.

  I always followed the old files to pdf without problem, and I can use this workflow on the pdf text of PowerPoint files.  Pdf files that contain tables do not bind in InDesign.  I tried to make the past-as-pdf in Microsoft Word and the behavior is the same.

  All PDFs in Acrobat air.

  I get the same results here that you get, and I see no reason for this. I was able to open the PDF file in Illustrator (not something I would recommend most of the time, but this file has no text) and re-register without any changes and it ended. I think it must be something that adds Mac Quartz or leaving out, but I can't say what.

  They really are paintings rather than what we normally consider as tables. Do you have Illustrator? It would be easy enough to replicate these in Illustrator directly (and not so difficult to ID using traditional tables with different fills blank cells), but if you're comfrotable in Excel, it is generally recommended that Excel graphs pasted in Illustrator and then put in memory in PDF format.

  I know I must be missing something very stupid, but this is the second project, I had this problem.

  My teacher told us to put our Word documents rather than copy and paste.  I have master pages with columns and text boxes.  On the page where I want the text, I did ctrl-shift-click to activate the box...

  I tried to place my .docx and nothing appears.  I don't get the cursor changed to who has demonstrated that he is 'hanging' there either.  I tried to choose the text tool and get the flashing cursor in the box text, then using the place and it still does not work.  I clicked on just try to hang on the slider, but nothing.  What step am I missing?

  There are a number of things that could happen. One is that the docx should start with a page break or an item that is too large to fit on the page, in which case it bumped to the next page or are not visible at all. Use the 'editor' mode to see if there is any text in the history, or find a symbol of overset text (a red sign in a box) in the bottom right of the text column.

  It could also be Microsoft Weirdness - I got used to simplify files in Word before you try to place them. Turn off "track revisions" and click "accept all changes" and save or even save again in the .doc instead of docx format in case there is something that hangs the Indesign import filters.

  Illustrator CS3 is not save documents in the format I. EPS works fine, so does the legacy formats until and including Illustrator 8. Try to save in Illustrator 9 or superior results in a dialog box reading "an unknown error has occurred."

  Restart Illustrator with command-option-shift key does not solve the problem, nor a reinstallation. What can I do else?

• CF8 & amp; Dreamweaver CS3 does not connect

  I have Dreamweaver CS3 installed and works well for the maintenance of the website on the client side. Earlier trying to get CF8 developer edition installed with the built-in Server works. Using CF tutorial as a demo for the process of setting up a DB connection in DW. The tutorial has been prepared for CF7 and CF7MX. His instructions to make DB connection see the format of the CF7 or CF7MX administrator and not that of CF8.
  
  The result is that I can't know if DW extensions, that he ordered the installation are already in DWCS3 or if they must be installed. So far I have found no article CF8 that deal with the implementation of DB connections in DWCS3.
  
  I don't know that there is nothing wrong with each product. It's just me as a newbie who does not quite know what to do next. I ordered the book of Ben Forta (recommended to me in a previous post), but it has not yet arrived.

  I downloaded the update of DWCS3 and installed. Clicking Windows/databases inside the DWCS3 has resulted in giving me a + / set of buttons of the Applicaton/databases tab. These buttons were not there before. Their use, I was able to open my test database.

  That seems to have done the trick. What a pity that Adobe had no tutorials that matched CF8 interfacing with DWCS3. I lost a lot of time before you go to the forum to help you, that you have provided.
