  It is strange that you have run the cleanup tool and that it did not always work

  You can try to connect to the Root user account and then run the cleanup tool and then check.

• InDesign CS6 will not retain any preferences

  One of my users has been recently updated for CS5 Design and Web Premium CS6.  The first problem is that the InDesign program crashes from time to time for no apparent reason.  Second, the InDesign program will not retain the preferences.  If the program crashes and is restarted, the preferences are lost.  In addition, if the program is normally closed and reopened, preferences are lost.  This started happening about a month ago and before that, there is no problem.

  I have searced forums and the internet for a solution and while I could find similar problems with other users, I can not find a solution.  Re-setting the program did not produce a resolution.  If anyone can help with this frustrating problem.

  Lisa, all of the experts from Adobe here are useless. They bombard you with questions, and theories.  I am a computer scientist of operations who was responsible for resolving problems and issues of the software. I have do this usually by the process of elimination.  Most of these people is applications users who call the IT operations people to solve their problems, when this stuff happens.

  Here's what I did to fix the problem.  I saved all the users of windows profile settings to a different folder.  Then I deleted the windows end-user user profile.  He then recorded in the PC and his profile has been recreated.  He was then able to configure its settings in InDesign.  These preferences and settings are now retained when it disconnects, stops, restarts, etc...

  I know this isn't the best solution, but only slightly.  The key is to make sure you have saved/backed up all data users and their user in windows profile settings.

• InDesign CS5 will not install

  Background:

  I had been using InDesign CS5 for a few years on my Win7 Ultimate x 64 machine.   A year and a half ago, I reloaded the OS and did not reinstall InDesign as I didn't need so.  It is used for a project once every six months near the end of the year. My InDesign CS5 is the update to Pagemaker, - installation is in the download file obtained via the Download Manager when licensed by Adobe in 2010. I think that it was updated to CS5.5 during that period but I have no file to install CS5.5,

  Problem:

  Tried to re - install at this time, and Setup fails.  He accepts the serial number but does not end: * I have attached the complete list of the errors at the end of this post.  I tried the install several times - initially with all InDesign bells and whistles, then restart your computer and retried and then again after restart a second time with no selected InDesign extensions (thinking that perhaps one who may be the cause) but no change in symptoms.

  Discussion:

  I think it's either something fundamental with InDesign CS5 in conflict with some Win7 updated since the time when InDesign CS5 has worked, or interaction with other Adobe products.

  I am trying to install adobe trial version first pro cs6, when I say through the implementation, it is Adobe CS6 Encore and Adobe Premier pro CS6 do not meet the requirments, 64-bit operating system os recommended.

  I don't really have any idea what that means or if there is a way around this etc y at - it another version of the trial that does not require 64-bit? My computer is running a 32-bit system.

  Premiere Pro CS6 and Encore CS6 are 64-bit only. They will not work on your machine.

• Content functional CS6 will not install

  Help:

  Just found out that I had to have "functional content" in again, first and after effects CS6.  I installed this from the original disks.  Did not realize that the installation has failed.  Finished download functional content by Adobe and installed content functional first and still. Still nothing coming in yet. Don't know what it was supposed to install first. And do not know what I had to to get in After Effects I did not.  The only possibility I can think of: Production Premium installed on my drive C (WIN 7), but I used another drive to hard drive for all my scratch disks.  Do not see why this should be a problem, but it's the only thing I can find.

  I have not had all this long CS6!  And I'm just now to enter again and AE - nothing in the library again.  I have a library file in the program files folder, and it seems to be filled.  Again is simply not talk to this file for an unknown reason.  Don't know if the first is whether or how say first if I have "functional content" or not because I don't know that this content is supposed to be.

• InDesign app will not install on iPad 1

  Now, I created an application through InDesign. I have the ipa file and that you installed the file test app on my iPad 3.

  Works great on iPad 3, but then I wanted to test it on my old iPad (1), and I get this message (translated from Danish, I dunno what iTunes tells you in English):

  "The program"... "" has not been installed on iPad "My iPad1" because it requires a new version of the software for the iPad.

  No one knows why this is happening, and he won't say what I think, namely that an app created by Creative cloud InDesign does not work on the older iOS-systems?

  I got a new computer and when I try to install cs6 that it tells me a warning that the computer might have a pending restart is not I restarted and all of the updates on the computer are up to date. Can I ignore who is an option because restarting makes no difference.

  I tried several times, but continue to make the same mistake.  I was able to download and install Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Premiere Pro problems.

  I think I found a solution for this. I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS6 on Adobe website and installed as a trial. At some point during the installation, it has used my AdobeID. After installation, it seems to be enabled. The option to disable the software appears under the Help menu. When you click on this, it seems to have acknowledged my clouds pass and gives me the choice to turn it off. Thus, it seems to work. Adobe Application Manager recognizes in Photoshop being installed and all the other programs I need downloaded and installed properly afterwards.

  I am trying to install Photoshop CS6. The installation fails and the message says: I already have a version on my machine. I don't. One of the reasons why I bought my new machine should be able to use CS6 because it wouldn't load on my old machine (it's an imac intel core 2 duo).   If the installation program detects a pre-release version available on the machine, then I recommend running the cleanup CS6 ( http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html ) tool to remove the remains of the software and then try to install Photoshop CS6.

• CS6 Illustrator and InDesign CS6 will not launch

  Using my creative cloud account, I downloaded Bridge CS6, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop to my MacPro desktop and my home iMac.  All starting on the iMac of home applications and all but InDesign and Illustrator embark on the MacPro.

  InDesign and Illustrator "quit unexpectedly" during each attempt to launch Desktop MacPro.  The automated response from Adobe said that no solution could be found.

  I tried to restart and ensure that no other applications are running on one of the two Macs.  Still get the same result of the collision.
