InDesign is pringing an incorrect image

There are 3 designers who have the same problem among many others in the Department, each of them when you print a specific document from the same part of printer of the image is not printed correctly, it seems damaged or misaligned. When sending the image to another designer the document print perfectly. I reinstalled the printer drivers and paired the drivers used for the printer. I think it's a matter of adjustment, but I don't have the slightest idea what setting it would be.

There are two documents. A bad positioning only part of the picture ever time it is printed in each of the 3 new designers, say, the page is 8/12 from 11 inches only 2 in the document the document prints correctly. B the document during a part of the image is rotating it shows normal but prints a white spot under an angle where the image was shot. Someone had a similar problem? Also, I know there is a workaround to export it to a .pdf file, but this is not an option for developers, unfortunately.

I found a Post script printer driver # we use prints documents very well for the specific model.

For this language PCL (Printer Control Language) drivers use the printer hardware to create some of the print data, usually graphic data such as filling boxes, highlights or fonts. This allows the computer treat the print fast and efficient job. The printer is then responsible to complete the creation and processing of the data on the page.

PS (Post Script Language) it is widely used in the Macintosh platforms and to graphical applications in several platforms. Unlike PCL, Postscript is device independent. This means that the Postscript language creates all the print data and does not rely on the printer to print the data. This allow the compatible output when printing on more than one type of printer or the print device. Specifically, the graphical objects will be coherent and in some cases of better quality than PCL.

As it seems that it is the answer to my question.

  • Incorrect image in InDesign

I placed a picture in my InDesign document, but when the image appears on the page, missing the shadow I added in Photoshop. This is despite the fact that the shadow is visible in the thumbnail of the image in the dialog 'Place '. Shadow also appears in the thumbnail of the mobile arrow that allows you to place the image in a certain place on the page. However, when I click on the page, the big picture that appears has no shadow. It also seems to be cropped differently that it is linked to the image (the image is too close to the frame even when you use "insert the content proportionally"). I cut the image and re-tried several times. I went back to the image I was linking to and deleted. Then re-recorded. However, I always get this strange image appear when I place in my document. I went in the links palette and tried to re - link, but the same problem persists. Help, please!

    Hello

The image in question has an inside clipping path? -Indesign that could use to crop.

  • Export InDesign CC problem in epub images

I have a problem with an epub in InDesign CC 2014. It has images placed in the text and some do not display correctly when the book is exported to epub.

I have attached a picture to show what's happening. The image is repeated in part at the top and then cut down.

This is not the case with all the pictures in the book.

The book is set up with a document of a book containing separate coverage, introduction, content files and each chapter in InDesign.

Each image was inserted in the text by me setting a return in the document formatted with a style of photo to the center of the image and put a few abova space and below the image and then placing the image of this paragraph mark. I have not formatted the images in any other way, and some had to be reduced to fit on the pages of the book. Most of the images that were brought down show very well, but we have this problem. Another SOM that is installed on the page that they were inserted into the images I have this problem of repetition.

I have exported the recomposable epub and then I used the standard export ID CC for the epub parameters.

It seems to me that created for the epub CSS is dealing with images as background images and repeating. I looked in the code for the epub and did not see where this is going well.

I've done several ePub for the customer even files with the images inserted in the text as this, and other ePub files did not have this error with the images.

Is someone can you please tell me why this is happening now?

    1.12.jpg

I found the solution to this myself.

You must set the images in the epub to export in png. The problem goes away.

I found this as a hint on a forum somewhere else after having done a lot of research. I can't find the link to the forum at the moment, but if I do I'll post it here as well.

Problem solved and the customer is happy.

  • InDesign CS6 how to set image-link directly to the original file in the folder

    Hello!

I am running Mac OSX 10.8.5 using Indesign CS6.

In the previous Indd, 5.5 I have set the image directly, binding not only the record, but also to the image itself, so that the original image was 'caught' and automatically highlighted.

This is very useful for me. I can't find this setting in CS6. Does anyone have an idea to solve this problem?

    Best

    / Magnus

I'm not sure that it works for everyone, and certainly will not work if the file is not in the folder (and if ID takes you to the folder where the image has lived, or the last folder where you relinked, is something preferably, make things even worse).

  • InDesign and export of .svg images

Y at - it a plugin or otherwise allowing InDesign export .svg images?

My documentation tool accepts only the vector images in .svg format and all my illustrations are made in InDesign (because it's a heck of a lot easier to use than Illustrator).

Currently, my workflow is kind of ridiculous!

Since InDesign - export the illustration in PDF format

Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat - crop the image to a specific size, save as a new PDF (because save a cropped picture of InDesign seems to behave badly from time to time - as I don't know the equivalent of 'Work Plan' in InDesign)

Open a PDF in Inkscape - save as .svg image

I really wish that I could just export directly to .svg! Curiously, I swear to you that InDesign supports .svg back in its infancy. FYI, .svg is always an important vector image format and a darn bit size more effective than .eps.

    * BUT * there is no way I'm paying $199 for a plugin (re: purchase SVG Kit for Adobe Creative Suite 2.0.2). It is quite excessive, IMHO!

I understand that this post will go nowhere... wanted to just scream a bit.

There are no SVG export in InDesign.

Try to save your InDesign file in PDF format. Open the PDF in Illustrator (may not work if you use fonts), then choose file > save as > SVG. Illustrator can record all the illustrations Illustrator in SVG.

  • Bug: InDesign exports the completely false images

    Hey,.

When I export my EPUB, InDesign inserts wrong images in the HTML code.

I have an Illustrator autopaint working file which is placed in the document. Each chapter has an image in front of him, each image is a work plan in the .ai.

When I export to EPUB, some plans of work are inserted correctly, while repeat several times in several chapters completely randomly. There only appear once, but InDesign inserts several times. What is happening here?

    Best regards

    André

I use the XML command. I solved the problem by removing the photo frame (reissue of links did not help) and it re-anchor in the stream. Then the images exported correctly.

  • InDesign CS5 export PDF - cut image, help!

My images look stepped in InDesign on display settings high performance), and they remain just as irregular when you export to PDF (with everything on the print settings high quality).

I placed the images (JPG or PSD to CMYK or RGB, it is not serious what I have import as)- and they look perfect in Photoshop to 100% - no line serrations in sight, but placement in InDesign (not horizontal?) all the lines become very irregular.

As the line on the slot metal gray keyboard between the doors and the rest of the metal and the bottom of the flap "side black" and stalks of microphones... etc.

    jagged_hell.jpg

    How can I fix it?

Make a sample page with a copy of the full-size image, and a copy resized to scale, then export to PDF using the predefined quality press. Do a test print on the printer you have and the worst and make a judgment. If you do not see much difference, it is probably not worth the effort to resize.

  • InDesign PDF output creates an image in grayscale negative...

I have an InDesign file with an eight-bit grayscale image imported from Photoshop. The image appears normal in Photoshop and normal view in InDesign. However, when I have the output file in PDF (print quality), the image in grayscale format appears in the PDF as a negative image. This happens not all the time, but from time to time. Does anyone have an idea of what is happening and what I could do wrong?

    TIA

On further investigation, this could be a problem with Preview [Version 5.0.1 (503), OS X 10.6.2].] When the PDF file is displayed in Acrobat, the images appear fine.

The problem seems to occur with grayscale images in PSD format.

The image should be resized in InDesign so that requested subsampling as defined in the Compression Panel in the PDF export settings.

Select the settings of export PDF for printing high quality or print quality.

In the Panel of Compression, Compression for grayscale Images should be set to the JPEG format (or automatic (JPEG)).

  • Can you trace how Indesign files to a specifik image link?

I have an image database, a link about several Indesign files.

I'm not the original author of the Indesign, neither the image database files, so I have no overview of the Indesign files links how to each image.

And now, I have an image I want to make a change - but I'm afraid to do it, when I do not know in which Indesign files, the image is used.

So my question is - is there a way to track the links established on a specific image in any Adobe program?

Maybe the flow might do the trick for you...?

PS. I him have not used it myself, so I really can´t say if it solves your problem...

  • (Impossible to write in the InDesign Server forum) - [Java/Corba] images appear only as gray box

Hello, sorry to post here, but I can't post in the Forum ID. click on "post message" deletes the text...  We are working on our first plugin for InDesign Server. We create Documents with boxes and placing graphics (in PDF format) in this field. The problem is: after you open the document in InDesign, we see just boxes grey and without pictures. The links in the document are ok and when we print, we see the images. In my opinion, the internal preview of graphics are not created. Printing uses the original file, and there we can see the image.  In the code, we create a rectangle with addRectangle() and place the image with the command place(). Is there anything else that we have to see the image in InDesign?  Thanks for all the ideas Klaus Friese

    Hi Klaus,

Take a look at the following to be called at startup:

    InterfacePtr iServerSettings (iSession, UseDefaultIID());
    If (iServerSettings)
    iServerSettings-> SetImagePreview (true);

    Best,

    Peter

  • InDesign cannot see the Preview Image

I am very new to InDesign (day 1) and working on a model of a prospectus.  I can't see a picture when I do a preview.  It does not appear when I export the file.  The forum is not allow me to attach the file.  I've checked the attributes and non-printable is NOT checked.  I have the file downloaded in my Dropbox and needing an email address if you want me to share to you.  I don't know why it isn't letting me focus on these forums...

  • Profile of incorrect Image in iTunes podcast

    Hello

Logo/profile for my podcast image appears correctly everywhere except in the iTunes store.

    RSS feed: http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:61776233 / sounds.rss

I can see some queries that it could be linked to Itunes store cache not updated. How many times is it done? Can I do about it?

The image referenced in your tag is

    http://i1.sndcdn.com/avatars-000184940360-k0duwy-original.jpg

It will not accept because it is only 500 x 500px. It must be minimum 1400 x 1400px, max 3000 x 3000px, JOG or PNG, RGB and less than 500 KB.

When you have created a consistent picture be sure to give it a different file than older name because otherwise the store (that caches the image) won't know it's changed. He'll have to update a few days for the store.

When you have a question about your own podcast it is best to ask in the forum Generating of Podcasts . Please always post the URL stream and the iTunes Store page.
