InDesign point and click incompatible

Some places it works but in other places, I have to move on the screen using the arrow keys and when the appropriate button is highlighted, press enter on the keyboard.

This is for Vista and Win 7:

  • By choosing a layer with point and click

When I used to use Photoshop 6 I could point to a picture of layers to select it. So if I had 20 layers past with lots of complicated things to select the layer that I wanted to work on I would just click in the main window on something in this layer. I could then go straight to working on that layer or begin to move. Now, I have Photoshop CS 8, this technique does not work so I have to play with the palette of layers trying to isolate that I want to work on. Does anyone know how to turn on the feature that I used to use in the 6?

You can also take command-shift while clicking on the image. Any layer with non-transparent pixels in the place will appear in the drop-down context menu. Use command to temporarily disable the automatic selection Doug speak. This can be useful when you have two layers stacked on top of each other and you want to move there.

  • The mouse pointer stuck in mode full screen, but works for bearings and clicking on boxes

Using win7 x 64, when I get full screen of a game (wow) mode, I lose the use of mouse pointer (its icon is stuck, but I can't gess it runs from bearings and clicking any key).

Also, if I use another game with win7 x 64 (Flight Simulator) everything works. So, without blaming win7 in itself, I suspect a problem of compatibility between the client of the game and also the video card driver.

Since everything is updated, my only hope is that you can suggest something, the mouse settings, settings, anything which might help as a workaround. Thank you, ricardo

Found the workaround from another thread in battle.net, and I reported it here:

  • The search in a table 2d-coordinates for the point of click

I'm doing a VI that creates a layer of 2d points on an image imported (as pictured). These points are generated by a Subvi, which simply draws points over and over again (based on the 3 selections of initial angle). All the coordinates of the points are stored in a data feed that is sent to a registry change for other future functions. Each coordinate corresponds to an electrode, labeled 0-255, goes into the lines first (although that could change, but I guess it would be easy to change). Labels are created through 2 loops (as seen in diagram 1).

I would now like to click on a particular point and put it out in a different color, but also an indicator show me what electrode I clicked. I seem to be at a loss on how to do it! I need explore a table 2d-2 groups of the element, where she looks for the line first, then the corresponding column (or vice versa, it is not serious, but just for ease of understanding, let's say she is looking X first, where the columns first) and compare them to 2 elements (the mouse click coordinates).

Here's what I've done so far. I need to search for the function in the following way; If find X, look no further columns and select that particular column where the X was found and begins to look for the values Y and and then stops when the value of Y is. Once the two values are found, take these out of the loops and throw them in a cluster and the function of drawing lots.

    Thank you!

p.s. in case anyone is wondering why I have the function "in the range" in there, it's so that the user does not have to be exact pixel this allows the user to click within 2 pixels of the coordinate of the point.

    Hi Daniel!

What do you think of this approach?

We subtract just the mouse coordinates in the coordinated range 2D (Array stores the coordinates of the points on the image), the absolute value and look for the minimum. X and y the selected point index is returned in minutes or the index. You can replicate the fuction "in range" by ensuring min value is not too high.

    Hello

    1. what exactly happens when you try to create a system restore point?

    2. you receive an error message when you create system restore point?

    3. what operating system is installed on the computer?

In the event that you use the Windows 7 operating system you can follow the steps below and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Locate the service associated with the restoration of the system or Volume Shadow Copy Service is started after the computer is restarted. This service can be stopped by some viruses as well, so you can try to run a scan of your computer.

    To check the service

    (a) click Start

    (b) in the start search box type Services

    (c) click on - RUN as ADMINISTRATOR

Check if the below mentioned services has mentioned State and type start.

    Shadow copy volume started Automatic\Manual

    Step 2:

Also check the dependency services that are required for the System Restore Service run.

To verify that double-click the service, and click the Dependencies tab.

This service must be started before the restore point is created automatically or manually.

    Method 2:

Try disabling the firewall and windows temporarily on the computer security software and then try to create a system restore point and check if that helps.

Follow the articles given below to change the settings for the firewall and security software settings

    Understanding Windows Firewall settings

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/Understanding-Windows-Firewall-settings

    Disable the anti-virus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

    Note:

If you are able to perform the system restore after you disable the security software then you may have to contact the software publisher for the security software by disabling the firewall and security software is a potential threat to the security of the system.

  • I looked under system restore points and the earlier it had was on March 27, which was still after that I got problems

Good so my computer has some corrupted files... I looked under the system (Yes, including the section 5 days ago) restore points, and the earlier it had was on March 27, which was still after that I got problems... I want a later date... Help, please.

    Hello

If there is no previous restore points until 27 March, including even more that 5 days more then they just do not exist

and you can not do something which

    Follow these steps instead:

    Run the sfc/scannow command.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation

read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation

  • Jumping mouse pointer and Vista "busy circle" using WMP

When I plug in a "memory stick" SanDisk, WMP trying to 'sync', 'something something '.  The mouse pointer and the Vista 'busy circle' jumping around.  I disabled the auto-start, I deleted the box "Start synchronization when the device connects" and I tried all the options in Sync Center.  WMP recognizes the different sizes of "memory sticks" and each is full.  Sometimes, the "memory sticks" shows in the library list.  I ended up the sync on a partnership, but this command is grayed out on the other.  The side "edit" of WMP sometimes shows the "memory stick" he said here drag the items to synchronize.  Sometimes the side "edit" of WMP says "connect the device.  Once in about 50 tries, WMP actually synchronize with the "memory stick".  I use the memory sticks for data transfer and storage only.  I NEVER want anything to synchronize!  I'm from the old (old, old, old read) school, so if I want something copied, I will use the copy command.  I've seen similar problems here and tried the solutions provided, unfortunately, nothing seems to work.  HELP PLEASE!
    TYVM!

After the cohabitation on maybe 10 different forums, I came across an apparent solution.
Apparently, the "guilty" is the Portable device enumerator Service.
When I disabled it, my problems went away.

Follow this step to turn off the service.

    1. click Start and type services.msc in the start search box and press on enter.

    2. scroll through the list and select the service.

    3. right click on the service and choose the Propertiesoption.

    4. you can change the Startup type to disable or the status of the service to stop.

    Good luck to all!

  • Microsoft enhanced Point and print compatibility driver printer driver is not installed on this computer

We are running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit (using VMware View 6.1) virtual work stations and the connection of users to a printer Xerox 4 Type driver/file being hosted on a Windows R2 server in 2012. The driver on the server is listed as "Xerox WorkCentre 7970 V4 PCL6" and when the user of Windows 7 connects the driver appears as "Microsoft enhanced driver compatibility point and print. In the "Print Management" client Win7, it appears as the 6.3.9600.17415 version

The Printer works fine during their Windows session, they disconnect you and when they connect in the print queue is still there but when you right click and go to "Printer properties", he throws the following error

"The printer driver ' improved point and print compatibility Microsoft driver" is not installed on this computer. " Some printer properties will be unavailable, unless you install the printer driver. You want to install the driver now? »

Deleting the queue and then add it again resolves the problem for Windows session, you're.

Note: we use Persona management of VMware to save data from the user profile of the disconnections from the virtual offices are non-persistent. I've been able to reproduce this in Windows 7 using a virtual office, I can't reproduce it on my physical Windows 7 machine.

We get around this by using Group Policy and a vbs script to delete the queue on logoff, then another script to add back on logon, but it's just a band-aid.

In addition, a Type 3 driver works fine in all of disconnections but we need the Type 4 driver in this case.
