• When I opened TB start page is not used. I lists the local folders only. Bar menu, tool or Nosend.

  I don't have a normal opening page, when I opened TB. The only thing on the screen is a list of local folders on the left side of the screen with only 3 listed columns. Subject, from, and Date. I pressed a button and the screen changed from normal to one that only shows the screen of the local folder. I was not able to respond to my email or write brand new. I have concluded that if there is no other choice, other than to uninstall and reinstall new TB please don't let me know. I have been without email for about 3 weeks now and that must be fixed. I'd appreciate any help you can give. I'm not a computer language and technical or program explanation writers are usually not easy for me to decipher so if there is no simple solution to my problem don't let me know and I'll uninstall and reinstall the latest version.   First of all, try to open in safe mode:
  Hold your shift down when you start Tbird. Don't make permanent changes. Click on continue in integrated security mode.

  Hi, Firefox is able to open multiple home pages with the URL separated by a "pipe" (|), so please see - How to set the home pageand in "Home Page", make sure that in addition to the URL of your home page (the Firefox start page is Subject: House but you can have another, or the page new tab, which is on) (: newtab) he has nothing else - if that's the case, just delete it.

  You can check the browser.newtab.url pref on the topic: config page and set this pref to your preferred the new tab page.

  Are you talking about topic: newtabs page?

  Type of topic: config< enter > in the address bar.

  Sorry about that. It might be this time your home page and the Firefox start page are defined as your home page.

  Here's how to reset your home page:

  1. Open your home page and close other tabs

  3. In the Preferences window, click on general
  4. Click the use current Pages button

• Why my tabs open up as the site of Amazon instead of the Firefox start page?

  Since this morning my Firefox tabs started opening as cover page from Amazon rather than the 'top sites' page standard that normally appears.
  I checked both extensions and modules on Firefox and found nothing, I changed the settings of the homepage through my internet and firefox options and not had any luck. I also run Spybot, AVG and removed all programs not recognized from my list to add/remove in Control Panel still with no luck. I had a problem with the toolbar 'incredibar' a long time ago, but who had been kidnapped a few months ago and everything has been fine since.
  On the advice to read another question, I removed the file user.js and cleared cache etc. on restart Firefox unfortunately it is still doing the same thing.
  Any ideas?
