Indicator volume control has disappeared

I have a Lenovo N200, model 0769K2G

I recently did some upgrades of windows and the lenovo care updates (which are done automatically) and suddenly discovered that when I press the volume buttons (including the Fn + keys f2/f3), they work, BUT no volume indicator on the bottom right of the screen is displayed, which is a bit annoying because you have to click to check the volume level

I googled and could not find anything, restore windows I've tried, but for some reason strange, there has been a mistake and he couldn't, I tried to download the latest tool updated for lenovo, but in vain...

I would be really grateful if someone could help me

PS: the OS is Vista Home Premium SP1

Unable to find a link where Lenovo guard drivers archived so I downloaded my game from:

http://rapidshare.com/files/156491950/LenovoHotKey.zip.html

Be sure to uninstall the current version before installing these drivers.

My office is running vista and a few days ago the icon in the notification area white volume control has disappeared. When I go into the properties of the taskbar to show once again, the volume option is grayed out. Can anyone suggest a way to recover the icon? (I tried to reboot several times)

Use this tutorial: it's the best solution for lack of notification icons in the taskbar.
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/106787-notification-area-system-icons.html

    Take three method... easier.
Make sure that you restart the computer after.

    There is also another method:
Do a system restore. Choose the date at which the Volume icon was present under your restore point.
Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

  • Exposure setting, control has disappeared

HI - for the first time using this - when I started using LR there was control of exposure to develop and the library. First of all that development has disappeared and now library disappeared also. What I do to make this go away?

    For module development:

    Windows => Ctrl + / 1

    Mac-online Cmd/1

    OR

Right-click on one of the other topics like tone curve Panel and make sure that there is a check mark for Basic.

To the library module, use the right click as described above.

I don't know what you're doing to cause these features to disappear. If it's any consolation, you're not alone. This is a frequent question on the forum.

  • The volume control has mind of its own

I have a HP1428 DV7 ca, Win 7 Home Prem 64 bit running. Recently my volume control seems to have achieved a clean mind. At first I thought it was related to HP MediaSmart, so I removed it. It stopped at the volume control bar to constantly and irregularly flashing on the screen. However, when I open the mixing table under windows I see that it is always very strange, the volume increases in fits and starts. None of the volume controls at the top of the keyboard do not work. The MediaSmart button stays on and the mute button is not the drawer of the volume control does not work either. I thought that removing MediaSmart and put it back in place, it should correct the problem, he didn't.

    Thank you.

    Hello

It may be a hardware problem with the band capacitive itself, but about the audio, try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp45001-45500/sp45073.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box to enable this and then proceed to uninstall.

When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

The MediaSmart you make reference to the application's HP MediaSmart SmartMenu, which can be downloaded and installed from the link below - you must have at least a MediaSmart application installed before installing SmartMenu.

    HP MediaSmart SmartMenu.

  • Omen: The omen application control has disappeared

A couple of days ago all of a sudden my keyboard did not meet the user profile settings I changed through the application of control the central operations of omen omen. Today, after looking for some reviews online, I decided to update, thanks to HP support assistant, anything that was not updated and then if I click in the operations Central Omen in the pop up with options is no longer the symbol to open the omen keyboard control.

That's happened? How can I get that back in order to be able to customize the keyboard?

    I've updated the following text:

HP Notebook system BIOS (Intel processor)

    Event utility HP system

Intel graphics driver high definition (HD)

    Intel (r) CEtrino (R) 4.0 adapter

    Thank you.

I suspect the BIOS update. You can restore the BIOS to the previous version to see if that solves it.

When to start the BIOS recovery, do not power the laptop or distrurb it until the end.

    Plug the laptop power adapter.

Hold the Windows key and the B key and press the power button. Hold the Windows key and the B key until the laptop BIOS reacts and the BIOS recovery window appears on the screen. Now you can release the keys and let the BIOS back to the previously installed version.

  • Volume control icon has disappeared from the notification area and unable to change.

Original title: missing Volume control on the speaker/icon

My volume control icon disappeared from my office. On my notification area icons > system icons, the volume icon is set to 'off' and grayed out so I can't change it. I did NOT choose this option. It just happened when I turned on my computer this morning and had no sound and no "speaker" icon appearing in my bar tasks, like she normally does.  In addition, my notifications area icons is set to DISPLAY the volume control on the taskbar, but it does not show.  Restarting my computer did not help.  What can I do to get this to redisplay the taskbar? Fortunately, I can always manually volume by going to control panel, sounds, speakers, level and make it work, but it's too long. I need to be able to turn the volume on and off quickly.  I have Windows 7 Home Premium. Thanks for any help that can be given.

Thank you very much for your answer!

The answers to your three questions are No, Yes, and No. miraculously, when I turned on my computer this morning, the icon is back!  I'm sorry that you have to spend so much time explaining what to do, but at least I'll have your answer to see if it never happens again, and maybe it can help someone else.  I doubt I'm the only person never to happen.  Once again, thank you!
