Ingestion of media - naming presets

I am trying to set up a "Preset" naming in Prelude and I want to have the date in the format YYYY-MM-DD_Created, but there is no option for this. When I enter a "Preset" and attempt to modify directly nothing I try me happens to appear as a prelude to this format. I tried:

%-% M-% D_

%Y"-"%M"-"%D"_"

%Y'-'%M'-'%D'_'

%Y---%M---%D___

%Y"---"%M"---"%D"___"

%Y'---'%M'---'%D'___'

All with no luck. Does anyone know how to do this or if it is still possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello

Thank you for your message.

After going into a preset, click the '+' to display the drop-down menu, click on the 'Date' (please refer to the 1st image), then you could get the default date display format (as shown in image 2), and you can choose different display format (please refer to the 3rd image).

I hope this helps.

Thank you

  • Media Encoder Preset Bug Vimeo

Hi all! I found a strange bug.

I created 1920 * 1080 video into AE CC and decided to publish on my vimeo channel (I have account more vimeo). So I made him in encoding and I decided to use is Vimeo HD 1080p25 render preset. The video has made very well and plays smothely in Media Player Classic (Windows). But I could not download on my channel! I got an error of Vimeo, whenever I tried. So I rerendered video in avi (h.264) format, as I usually do, a downloaded computer sucsessfully. The question is why provided specifically for Vimeo, video cannot be downloaded on Vimeo?

    Thank you!

I push the h.264 files to Vimeo all the time by using the preset and it works fine for me. Never had a problem at all. Give us some details.

  • How can I remove duplicate of Media Encoder Presets?

I imported accidentally several presets for Apple ProRes. Now, I have versions in each version of ProRes double in Media Encoder.  How can I remove them?  The "delete" button (the minus sign) will not even turn on (it remains greyed out).

Remove them manually in the folder Presets of the SOUL.

  • SOUL long delay adding media or presets

I have a new problem on one computer.  When you add clips to encode, SOUL does not respond for long periods of time.  He returned finally to.  The length of the delay is proportional to the number of clips that I add.  Adding drag-and - drop, via the + sign, or to results in the same behavior.  Same thing happens when you add predefined parameters.  Presets already "attached" to a clip are able to be changed without delay.  Adding a preset to an item in the results than in similar delays.  When rendering, rendering itself unfolds as expected (fast), but at the end of each file being rendered, but before moving on to the next file, SOUL delays of several (sometimes of 20 to 25 seconds or more) before moving on to the next file.

Details on the system and files:

    HP z600 Win7SP1 18 GB RAM

The files reside on Fibre Channel connected SAN or RAID internal or office (behavior does not change based on file locations)

    I've noticed this on source files: .mxf (Canon C300), Quicktime (ProRes, uncompressed, h.264 (5 / 6 d))

Preset targets that I use often: .mp4, QT h.264, Ucompressed QT, file footage, Avid DNxHD

This seems to have started recently, I have not run updates, except the usual stuff of MS that comes every two weeks and all my Adobe apps are updated according to CC app (SOUL is 7.2.0.43).

The problem is that the same folders of same location SAN on machines (Mac or PC) are okay and don't delay as described above.  Y at - it a cache or something that is fouling the waters?  Am I missing some sys on this particular machine maintenance?  All this looks good on this machine.

Any thoughts are appreciated.  I searched but not found much, do not know what terms to use.

    Best,

    -t.

How much do custom presets, you added to the SOUL now? There is a problem that we have seen where a large number of custom presets can slow down the SOUL, especially in the areas you describe.

  • Install the Prores presets in Adobe Media Encoder. Will not be shown in prelude

    Hello world

I installed presets for Prores in Adobe Media Encoder.  Follow the instructions to import the Media Encoder presets.  But when I go to transcode in prelude I don't see these options.

    Screen Shot 2015-04-24 at 8.41.25 AM.png

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thank you!

    Hi Mike,.

I have had no trouble to create a setting preset in Adobe Media Encoder and have it appear in Adobe prelude. Please try this: Ingesting media clips

I do not know the legacy presets, that you try to download are actually functional in the current versions of Adobe applications, or not. I guess not. If they do not appear, you can seek to create new ones, as described in the help.

    Thank you

  • I can transcode my AVCHD to DNxHD files in Media Encoder, but when I ingest through prelude, Media Encoder fails.

I'm more educated long form of student projects to transcode the AVCHD material in Quicktime using the codec, DNxHD (which is installed and then loaded into Media Encoder preset).

I am doing this since it is the workflow suggested in this article:

Video and audio glitches. AVCHD video

He worked many year the CS6 last, but this workflow doesn't work at all in CC2014.

When I transcode directly through Media Encoder, the process works well, but if I ingest using Prelude (where students choose to transcode files, set destination, etc.) Transcoding fails and we get an error of SOUL. Don't know why it would be different right transcoding in Media Encoder...

We work on computers running Windows 7.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    HI -.

There should be no need to transcode the media. Premiere Pro and Prelude should be able to manage the native format very well.

But with regard to the question of transcode: can you please let me know exactly which versions of the products you use? Also please specify exactly what SOUL preset you use.

    Thank you-

Have you updated to the 12 to 12.1 update? If this isn't the case, please do, using Menu/setting to update a project.

When you publish + share/computer/QuickTime, you find presets for the choice of QuickTime? If so, what are they?

Go in Edit Menu/Preferences/Web sharing and updating Services online?

Then, if the problem persists, remove the Adobe Premiere elements Prefs file and, if applicable, the together 12.0 folder in which the Adobe Premiere elements Prefs file exists.

  • Ingest parameters: copy and create proxies has no option for the MD5 checksum

I'm very happy with the new feature of proxy CC 2015.3. My favorite ingest setting is to "copy and create proxies" but there is no option to use given MD5 checksum check that if I used the parameter "copy". I tried to create a preset in Media Encoder, but I couldn't find the option to use GoPro Cineform for the format of proxy?

You can create a custom preset to achieve this goal. In the SOUL, first create a preset for encoding with your GoPro CineForm desired settings. Then create a preset to ingest allowing of ' copy Destination files, check (value comparison MD5), transcode files Destination, then set Format in your "Preset" custom coding. " Some Destination paths for the copy and Transcode. Click OK to save the preset Ingest and import this preset in the settings dialog box to ingest first.

More information about the creation of presets can be found here:

  • Incompatibility of proxy on predefined Ingestion

I was very pleased with the new automation proxy in Pp, but I ran into a problem right at the beginning. The presets that are available are still larger than I want to work with. I need proxy images about 640 x 360. I exported several smaller presets directly from Media Encoder as .epr files, but whenever I try to add them I get a popup of incompatibility of Proxy error:

    Proxy Error.jpg

All the tips are greatly appreciated.

My original media is files MOV H.264 1920 x 1080.

With the update 2015.3, Ingest presets have been added and are needed for Proxy and Ingest workflows. Encoding presets is the same presets that you would create in previous versions of first, SOUL, etc.

Ingets presets have additional functions, and may also include a preset encoding. So, you have already done the first part in creating your desired preset encoding. In the SOUL, you now want to create a pre-defined Ingest new (+ predefined browser button or go to "Preset" menu > Create ingest Preset). In the dialog box settings preset to ingest, check the 'Field to transcode to Destination' box, set a Destination, set the Format to the Format that you have created your encoding preset with and then set Preset in your "Preset" created Encoding.

Click OK and the preset to ingest it is now ready. Go in first and dialogs settings interfere or create proxies, click on the Add button ingest predefined, select your Preset ingest (found in default predefined location or you can export the preset in SOUL to any desired location).

This video goes on the bases to ingest and Proxies, in addition to ingest presets (and also goes in the other new features).

  • I'm confused about Presets

1 I have three Presets collections: "Lightroom", "Step up" and " " dp » s

    2. "step up" seems to offer the fastest way to find the best choice due to its descriptive titles. Therefore, I use more frequently

3 I find that I rarely use the presets because of the time needed to choose what I want.

4 sometimes there are articles suggesting presets to save time and give remarkable results.

    5. I find it takes MORE time to navigate through the available options and so I do the editing myself.

I'd be interested in comments on the issue. Maybe I talk about wrongly?

    Cliff

    Cliff,

    1. I find that the most useful Presets are those that I created myself. (Often to set a lot of images with the same result)

    2. you can rename presets to give a more descriptive name. (Right click & Rename) (for example, instead of 'Fruity' Rename '01 B & W + 20Clarity DuoToned'

    3. you can change a preset - first open an unedited image (or Reset), apply a Preset and look at the color/sound/cursor settings changes the predefined setting, change the sliders/etc to suit you, then right click on the preset and "update with current settings".

4 delete the Presets you never use or need.

    5. you never have to pay for the presets, there are several free BUT see proposal 1.  (All presets are available in the develop module!)

    6. when naming presets use a prefix number. for example {01 + 1stop} {02 + 2stops} {03-2stops} they sort alphabetically (like the fact the prefix ' number') and it allows you to group similar presets with the prefix of the number. (e.g. 051 + Clarity10 Clarity20 + 052 053 + Clarity100)

    7. When you create a preset, make "targeted" or specific to one (or two) changes in development options (for example, curve tone only).

    8. experience! If you don't like the result, you can always delete the preset.

  • Media encode CC Crash

    That's what I use:

    • iMac (end 2013)
      • 3.5 GHz i7 cpu
      • 32 GB of ram
      • 2 GB NVIDIA graphics card

    • OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

    • Suite Adobe CC (all programs fully updated)
    • Handler application Adobe creative cloud (completely up to date)

So I made a very long video in first Pro CC.

The timeline stops at the 2 hours 47 minutes. So it's really a long video!

When I try it in Media Encoder, it gets to halfway (about) and then crashes. Sometimes even break (restart) the Mac set.

The specifications for video are 1920 x 1080 25 fps.

I'm looking to go out to the MP4 H.264 (so I can then upload to YouTube *)... and I have been using Media Encoder preset 'H.264 - Match Source - broadband'.

I have tried just about every other files export presets (Animation MOV, ProRes etc.) but still the same accident.

I thought that the film could be the problem. The timeline consists of approximately 6 cut video files, and they are all MP4.

So, I even re-encoded each of these movie clips in the handbrake to convert them all to 'clean up' the MP4 files. But I still get the same crash.

On the 'preferences' of Media Encoder, Premiere Pro and After Effects, the 'RAM reserved for other applications' is default (6 GB). Not sure if this is the problem?

Or I get this accident because the video is just too long? Perhaps Media Encoder has a limit of 2 hours or something?

Or is my Mac of overheating for some reason any?

I've already searched online for similar problems, but found nothing.

And I know that one of the typical answers is 'Try to update your software to the latest', but I assure you that I already have.

    * YouTube has a download limit of 128 GB/11 hours.

    Kind regards

    Josh

Here are a couple more things you can try.

-Disable an option "Import sequences in native mode" in the preferences of the SOUL > General.

-Encode directly into Premiere Pro, instead of coding in the SOUL.

  • Film Source progressive Pal must be encoded with preset "Progressive PAL DV" wide for the DVD?

    Hello

I am wondering the best way to encode a video of 1080p25 for DVD.  Should I encode with PAL DV wide Progressive Media Encoder Preset?  Or should I use the other preset, which I'm assuming that is interlaced?

Progressive wide preset is correct. Avoid interleaving. If you find yourself with small black bars showing on the 'Output' of export settings window, you can change Source of scale of "Scale out" to eliminate black borders. At the bottom of the export settings, select "Max rendering quality" for a top-down quality.

EDIT: just to clarify, you do want to "MPEG-2 DVD" format and THEN choose the PAL Progressive large DV preset.
