• Too much to handle-Help!

  I have a desktop imac with the following specifications:

  OSX ver 10.9.5

  Intel Core i7 3.4HHz

  Memory: 8 GB at 1333 MHz DDR3

  My problems are:

  1. Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel take a long time to get on my screen.

  2. I also get the message that I ran out of memory for the application.

  3. I have to restart my computer in other applications, because I get the color wheel.

  4. I thought I erased everything related with Norton, but I always get a reminder to renew whenever I start.

  Maybe it's the origin of many of your problems.

  There could be 2 causes.

  (1) your startup disk is out of space, and OS X can create is more / var/vm/swapfile (s)

  (2) the collection of processes that are running on your system has requested more virtual memory that OS X is ready to handle.  This happens usually when there is a leak of memory in a program.

  You should start with Applications-> Utilities-> Activity Monitor and watch your memory usage.  I hope over time, you will notice that one of the applications consume much more memory than anything else.

  When your system is starting to exhibit slow performance, but it is still able to do something, run EtreCheck and then after the release in response to this forum.  It is important that you expect from your system approaches of the State where it is either going to give the out of memory performance or the application only allows you to run anything.  If you post the production of EtreCheck of a freshly booted system, it will be not as useful as the system in trouble.

• Wrong on laptop calendar open, initial window size

  I know I could probably "" solve this problem by deleting the preference files, but I prefer not to have reconfiguration of a calendar from scratch if I don't have to.

  Problem: when I first open the app on my cell phone the size of the window is never held.  The width is usually, but the height is always écarquillée about 25% of normal.  No matter how, I leave the window when I close the application.  * only the width is retained, not the height *.

  I had the same problem of Troy.  I have not yet found a solution to this, but if I do, I'll come back to this thread and post an update.  It seems that all of a sudden, it stopped maintaining the size of the game when previously opened.

  Recently, I upgraded my hard drive to an ssd, when I reinstalled windows that it would not activate to saying that it had been used on too many appliances. I bought a friend's computer.

  My main question is, is there a way around this without buying a new product key, windows 7 professional sound. Since its still the same machine it is used on and not another computer?

• Update Windows using too much memory in Windows XP

  In the last week I came across many computers where windows update is slowing down the computer because it uses over 400MB of ram.  This seems to affect Windows XP.  In the Task Manager wuauclt.exe and svchost.exe are the two files involved.  When Windows Update is disabled, everything is back to normal.  If you try to update Windows via the Windows Update Web site, there is no answer.  Please tell us what to do.

  You seem desperate and I'm sorry that it does not work.

  We don't quite know what you do or what you have tried to solve this problem.

  Here's the deal: a large part of the time, the difficulty has to do with the Application using a and printing scale selects prior to sending the document to the printer.  Usually we use print preview and adjusts the scale / size of the print goes to the printer.
