• Intermittent USB mouse freeze on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Tested with several mice that work fine on other computers.

  I am having a frustrating problem where my Wired Optical mouse appears to 'freeze' for 10 seconds on my machine Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Meanwhile, everything else on the computer works fine, including the keyboard (connected through PS2). The mouse does not seem to lose power because down the red LED stays on. At the end of the freeze period, I hear the sound of Windows to disconnect USB, but there is no error or windows pop-up ads of any kind on the screen.

  Some more info about the configuration:

  * Core i7 950 processor
  * 12 GB of RAM
  * Radeon HD4950 video card (or almost)
  * The main SSD drive
  * 2 external powered USB drives, 1 powered MIDI keyboard, 1 USB dongle
  * Windows experience score 7.3

  I tried things that did not work:

  • Turn off all the power management, including the management of power supply for USB, USB hubs-> suspend to win power, etc.
  • Permutation of mouse. The problem came with three different mouse from different manufacturers.
  • Try the mouse on different computers of W7 Pro. Confirmed that the mice are not the problem.
  • Disconnected all other USB devices except the mouse. Problem persists.
  • Uninstalled all the drivers for the mouse and use MS default drivers.
  • Installed the software Microsoft mouse & keyboard center.
  • Installed the software from the manufacturer (ie. logitech) specific mouse driver.
  • Tried every USB port, the front and back, on my computer, including USB3 vs USB2.
  • Scanned for malware (using Malwarebytes)
  • Search for viruses (using Nod32)

  I must point out that NO other devices are having problems on this computer. My external hard drives all work perfectly. My printer when I plug it, works great, like my USB dongle. My MIDI keyboard never loses connection. Even when I have my phone connected Android, which normally creates a huge noise if I unplug it, never disconnects even for a second. It is therefore clearly a kind of mouse problem.

  The problem seems to occur regardless of what I do, although it seems MORE common if I use actually the mouse. If I'm just typing (as I am now) it seems not really to happen. On the other hand, sometimes hours go with no problem and other time it happens literally every few seconds.

  Remove the check to "improve the accuracy of the printer" logic. I had two computers windows 7 x 64 that gives me the same problem. When I tried a wireless mouse, the problem disappeared. they do not use the windows controls.

• Satellite A200 - internal mic has background noises

  Description: Internal microphone with full boost, and volume has background noise. By reducing its levels, it has insufficient gain to drive Skype etc, so the only viable solution is to use front mic. Have you tried several MICS known for work on the other PC.

  Which is really strange and I can only say that my girlfriend has a Satellite A200 too but she doesn't have any problems with the internal mic. She uses the microphone for MSN and Skype, for example, but without any problems.

  In any case, have you tried with the factory settings? I mean the Windows Vista preinstalled with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba. Normally with these settings, all should properly.
  Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest BIOS for your laptop.

  I have a code (attached) in which a triangular wave is supposed to a magnetic field of ramp up and down to very low frequency (0.1 Hz or low). Reading (X) vs keithley reading field (Y) represented by two random numbers generators must be taken in synchronization with the triangular wave point by point. I would be very grateful if you could help to achieve the following objectives:

  1. by taking the average for a few cycles. Basically, I would define the number of loops in the outer circle to the loop and the number of sampling inside everything in a loop and then take the average between the loops.

  (Data for data of loop2 +... + loop1) + data to loop n/n

  2. the averages should be written to the text file and at the same time, I hope I always get the full date in the file action.

• Mouse USB, connection loss

  I have a HPE170F of desktop running Windows 7 Home.  About a week or two ago I noticed that the USB devices are briefly drop their connections.

  There are a number of ways, it is the case, but the most common is a slight hiccup in my mouse works.  It is even more obvious and boring everything at stake, there will be a break in the mouse works before returning to normal.

  Usually, but not always, accompanyed with the light sensor / on the bottom of the mouse, go to offshore.

  That usually doesn't happen until the program and a computer were aired for a while, and it feels like it is becoming more frequent, more I play, and breaks to lie down in the long term.

  Sometimes I have to disconnect a USB device and plug it back again so that it can work.

  I went into Device Manager, removed and hubs USB again detected and disabled the option to allow the computer to turn off the devices.  It made no difference.

  I have run virus scans, auditor system files and verified that everything is up to date.

  Am that I up to this got to be a motherboard problem?

  Thanks for the suggestion, but it led naturally to a little problem of chickens and eggs.  This HP desktop computer has only USB (wells and firewire) ports, so at some point during the withdrawal of all USB devices, I eventually remove those for the keyboard and mouse, which means of course I have to restart with the power switch.

  I think I can have tracked down the problem, and I think it was a number of things.  I think that my mouse original (the HP base that came with the computer) crumbles.  I don't know why it does this, but my registry contained dozens of entries for my HP mouse (perhaps even one for each time it was unplugged and reconnected).  All entries in mouse are perhaps why the other mice were who have disorders.

  I cleaned the registry and I changed to a mouse of difference and so far I have not seen the problem again.

• Windows search has disappeared from my computer

  I can't do searches in outlook or windows explore.

  I tried indexing options but it just says that windows search does not run.

  I tried control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and features 'turn windows features turn on or off' but there is no sign of windows search.

  I also tried re-initialization several times.

  I removed the malware called "Rocket Tab" and it sped my computer much.

  But I still have not search or indexing. Also, I can't access windows update automatically or manually. A message says that I need to get out some software without name and reboot. Still a mystery.

• my game 'SkyRim, Elder Scrolls V' crash, black screen, every few minutes.

  My Games for Windows 'SKYRIM, Elder Scrolls V' game continues to crash every few minutes. I tried everything suggested by the manufacture of game and the site of the game "Steam", where the game is played, but nothing is. I have all my drivers updated. My PC is greater than all the recommended requirements to run the game. I reinstalled the game, updated the game, scanned the game, updated my windows software, you name it I tried it. The game installed and started very well, but after 4-5 minutes of the game, it just hangs at a black screen, with the sound in the game always running. After a minute or so, the sound stops and a humming noise replace. I have to press the button for a few seconds so that the PC to shut down. CTL + alt + delete does not work when the game crashes.

  My PC is a gateway DX4840 with intel Core i5 650 processor running the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit @ 3.2 GHz, 4 GB memory DDR3 Ram, ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics card PCIe with 1 GB of memory, Cox Cable Internet connection with a Motorola cable modem,. & DLink Wireless N Router, 15 MBS

  connection. I TB Sata hard drive, a RW Super Multi DVD/CD drive. Sometimes the game will work very well for half an hour or more before it crashes, but most of the

  time it hangs after only 4 or 5 minutes. I learned to Quicksave my game about every 3 or 4 minutes so that I can make progress. So far, I've played the game for hours 946, which meens it crashed several thousand times so far. As I said before, I've tried everything suggested to solve the problem. Nothing works so far. I'm retired so I have a lot of room on my hands, & I like the game, except for accidents. Any suggestions? Give up, this is NOT an option.

  Update on the problem of crash: I now 1060 + hours of game play and still have not solved the problem of crash. Normally, I run that my computer with no auto update turned on what so ever, not even Windows auto update. I thought that this could be the cause of the Windows error log entry that says "TESV.exe has stopped interacting with Windows and stopped. So I enabled Windows automatic update - no change at all. The game always crashes all the minutes. I noticed that most of the occre crashes just like, or just after that I walk around with my charictor @ change of direction all of a sudden or rapid movement in one direction for a while or for a very long distance. One last thing, I sometimes use "God Mode Cheat Code" to get out of a very difficult situation in the game. The use of cheats in the console will cause outages? If yes how can I disable the protection 'Punk buster type' game modes that could have the default set. I have several Mods installed but I had crashes before I never installed one of the Mods. I have over 50 Mods installed either. I completely run out of ideas and patience with the way to solve this problem. It is, of course, put a damper on my enjoyment of the game. If I was not so bull headed, I would have given to the top a long time ago. I really like the game but cannot aford to buy many more mice or keyboards, to replace the ones I ruined right after a game crash. I splashed several mice out of my wall of the apartment when my temper got the best of me. I think it's better than bottling up anger and having a heart attack. lol just kidding. 2 mouse and 1KO have bit the dust so far but my 2 female roommates are starting to think I'm a little crazy.   If you look at the forums of Bethesda, the thread "Skyrim plant" is 74 pages, now (http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1270631-crashes-during-gameplay/page__st__2190), and no one finds a universal solution for this widespread problem.

  Your computer's specifications are more than OK, it's the game itself that is causing the issues. Some argue lock TESV.exe (executable of the game) to steam is the cause, and revert to the version 1.1 (where TESV.exe can be launched without the steam launcher) stopped the breaks down. Others find that the change in the sound settings helped (24-bit, 44100 Hz). Others, even once, noticed that the 1.3 update (the update of 4GB memory patch) stopped accidents or aggravated their. The use of mods can also be a negative factor. Etc.etc.

  It would help if you had an error log any. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon that spontaneous TCTC happen without leaving any trace, but you can type "perfmon /rel" in the search (without quotes) bar to open the reliability monitor where accidents can be declared as events with a cross within a red circle. For example: one of the users of the forums above could provide a log of errors with "BEX" and "Code of Exception: c0000409 '-c' is a mistake that could be avoided by temporarily disabling DEP, DEP data (enabled by default on 64-bit CPU).

  Regardless of the exact reason in your case: what I can say as a player of all YOUR (I - V) games on different hardware, is that Bethesda has implemented a RCG (random crash generator) in all their game engines. It's so random that you can play a game for 200 hours and nothing happens, it works perfectly. And when you reinstall the next time or start a new game, it crashes so often to be unplayable.

  I have another course of thread, but NO ONE answers me. I got my Valkyrie CZ-17 since maybe October of 2012 and last week there was a bunch of updates to Ms. All of a sudden my MS natural 7000 wireless ergonomic keyboard and mouse combo started acting in place - or so I thought. I received a generic response that provides a link to troubleshooting the keyboard and mouse. I have all ready done * MUCH more to find a solution before I came here to waste my time typing and looking for help. The problem: I can't drag and drop icons on the desktop. I can't have several windows open and reached the coast to coast, down, above or anything. I can not even go to my 2nd hard drive and drag and drop a picture in my photo folder. I was so tired, I decided to reinstall Windows 7 and all done the update. Guess what? The problem came back! It MUST be a MICROSOFT problem and probably with one of the updates, but I have no way of knowing which of the 100 KB is! It MUST be a KNOWN problem and I need help! Also, when I went to my installation CD for my combo, he said that it was more compatible, even though it was in 2012. Then he referred me to the download page of keyboard/mouse MS. I downloaded and installed the "combo" pack for my combo. He has only installed the software keyboard. Even in devices and printers, he showed only the mouse? I uninstalled and tried again-same thing. I can with the right button of the taskbar and tell windows to cascade, side by side and so on. However, if I try to open IE 9 or 21 FF Windows will open BEHIND the active window and then I have to click on the free space on the desktop, and then on the new window to pull forward. If I want to close, minimize, or maximize... I have to click the space each time for each function. In addition, if there is a drop down menu, I can open it but then I have to use the arrow keys to select the option I want to and then press ENTER to activate it. There are other little stupid things, but this is the gist of all this. Yet once again, I had all the same since the first day and it started after a few updates of windows. Last night, I have reinstalled windows, made a bunch of updates and went to bed. Today I had installed .NET Framework 4 in order to install the bar S and a few other things. I do not have MS Office, Adobe Master Suite or anything 'extra' still installed. It's just the Windows 7 and the regular cell phone software. I call MS for free to get the necessary/same help remote assistance? Is someone can really help me solve this? (after checking the batteries, pull out radio and in / hitting reset buttons.)

  P.S. I also installed MSE, if that matters.

  I had tried other mouse/keyboards, batteries and a bunch of other things before coming to the boards.

  I spent the $149 to get the technical support which also proved to be futile at this time. He had 2 technicians for 4 hours the first night. The next night was a level 2 technician, then he calls back tonight.

  Obviously this isn't a hardware problem and is not a user error. It is certainly a problem in the MS updates - I think that it is the software Center mouse and keyboard. But there could be something here that is in conflict.

  Yet once again, I declare that, on or around 23/05/13, I got a bunch of updates and this is where the MOUSE and KEYBOARDS-were not working and other things are deceived by the computer.

  I, like them, have proved there are no viruses or malware. I also have their showed that I did not add any other software on this laptop just the computer and the MS stuff when I did a clean install. I tested the mouse on another computer as they requested and after the change of certain services and others on my computer, it started working again, including the web cam, who quit working in this whole mess.

  Now my the taskbar thumbnails are links and I see there is no box to change this. When the search is in the registry - and that was without touching the registry.

  I receive another call from level 2 tonight and I seriously think I should restainll windows again since everything has been changed so much aren't even sure what they have done!

  But point is, ON MY OWN, I had the camera, several mice and keyboards work all work now and I got my Inbox, that was a different thread, nobody gave an answer to the most (I didn't say 0 replies - I said no answer - set). I should get paid for what I do on my own! Laughing out loud

• USB mouse on the laptop no longer works

  I got a laptop HP Compaq for about 3 years now with Windows 7 32 bit. USB mouse to work without problem, just plug and play.

  However, sometimes last year I tried to plug in a mouse again and it just doesn't work. I left the problem while I couldn't be bothered, but I really need to get it sorted now!

  I tried several mice, who work in other computers or laptops is not the mouse. When I plug it, nothing happens. It gets power as it appears from the red light on the bottom. It has no errors in the Device Manager to all. All that happens when I plug it, is a compatible peripheral extra HID appears under devices to Interface and a HID - Compliant Mouse extra appears under the header mouse.

  If I look in Control Panel under mouce, if I go to the device settings tab, it lists only the touchpad.

  I tried "Uninstall" the device driver compatible HID and HID - compatible mouse driver by right click and uninstall. But when I plug the mouse in return, they reappear. I also tried to update the drivers, but he said that they are up to date!

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

• MICROPHONES

  Microphones do not work on my Dell Vostro running Windows 7. None of the programs trouble shooter detects a problem. Would appreciate any suggestions. Have you tried several MICS to several ports without success.

  I found that a fluorescent lamp next to my monitor was emitting rf who was interfering with the microphone. I am able to use the OK microphone by turning the light. A replacement light is obviously in order!

• Hearing, creating a crackling noise

  It's not exactly a crack, but I'm pretty sure I know what it is and how you heal - it is underemployment buffer.

  Go in Edition > Preferences > hardware Audio and increase - well, if it's an ASIO driver, the size of the buffer. If it's MS or WASAPI, she will be the latency value and try again. It is likely that it will disappear completely. If it isn't, then increase it even more.

  Cannot left click and drag the clip in the timeline or drag autour clips in the timeline.

  Can be inserted into the timeline of the Source window, but cannot drag from the source window.

  Can cut and paste into the timeline.

  Cs5 restarting does not help, but restarting solves the problem for a while.

  Tried several mice, but that did not help.

  Problem solved by pressing the ESC key.

  Someone suggested that in order to heal the same problem in MS Word.

  Problem reappears and solves the ESC key.

  And now my life is complete!
