Inline background being pushed down to the margin of the header

Hello everyone - inline background being pushed down to the margin of the header (see below the CSS and HTML). Also, when I saw in IE9, no scroll bar on the right:

#header {}

text-align: center;

margin-top: 165px;

overflow: hidden;

< body >
< style body = "background-image: url (images/sample.png);" background-repeat: repeat no.; background-pos ition:center; overflow: hidden; ">

"" < div id = "header" > < a href = "http://www.sample.com" > < img src = "images/sample.png" border = "0" width = "690" height = "128" alt = "Sample" longdesc =http://www.sample.com / > < /a > < / div > <! - end header - >

#1 delete overflow: hidden your body. That cripples your scroll bars appear.

#2 change background-position of the body of the Center top-center.

#3, unless your #header contains floats, remove overflow: hidden.

• Div being pushed down in Safari

Hi guys,.

I built a website for a client. For some unknown reason, the content of the footer is pushed down on the friends page in Safari and IE - all other pages are fine however.

Here is a link to the site

Can you see why this could be the case – in FF, so good however.

Thank you!

I think it has something to do with the ' min-height: 536px;' on the 'hand '.

CSS. Remove it and test - overflow: hidden;

#main {min-height: 536px; overflow: hidden; background-color: #7A7D83 14px margin: 0px 0px 14px; position: relative; clear: both}

• pushing down hard on the spectrum box 13 control touchpad

Hi all

My question is about the touchpad on the spectrum 13 box control. I just noticed that if you press harder on the control (instead of putt) area, it will make a noise of rattling in depth. My question is this - you're supposed to be able to push harder on the touchpad? I just have to make sure that I am not damaging the touchpad by pressing harder on it.

Thank you guys

OK thanks Sparkles1! Yes, that I have no intention to bring down unreasonably hard on the touch pad at all, my question was more along the lines of confirming that 'pushing down on the touch pad as it performs a click' is a planned feature of the touchpad. Given your initial response well (i.e. "when I pressed hard on the touchpad on the spectrum 13 here, I could hear a click as"), I guess it is. In addition, while playing with my laptop a little more, I found that you can do certain things my pressing down harder on the touchpad (for example drag by selecting text), which even once leads me to believe that pushing the hardest is a planned function. Thanks for the quick responses so! It's been very appreciated thank you! Jayflip

• D600 lag when I scroll down on the web

I don't know that really where I class, I think it's a software problem. But my D600 accuse by I scroll to the bottom of any web page, no matter what browser I use. I use firefox as a lot of people, but he did it with IE too. I'll give a few examples of it.

When I press the arrow down on my screen what it comes down to the usual amount, it is supposed to, but it goes like 2 pixels at a time. So instead of being instantly down to the next spot, it'll take a few seconds.

If I click in the box below the scroll bar, it will do the same thing but at like 10 pixels, maybe that's just purely heinous.

I don't know what kind of question is this.

• Why the slices of the Site is pushed down when I add text?

How is it when I upload my site and when I add too many words, he pulls the bottom of the original provision. I can only fill the box at halfway of the words, and when I pass that he's taken out. Why does do that?

> But when I type that it will push down the cell of substantive provision which makes it not a page complete.
> I can't even fill it to half way with text and it will happen.

Well, you have 4 paragraph tags after your last line and you can also expect margins. But as mentioned Nadia, your basic design is wrong. You use a fixed size container, made of slices of the image and trying to insert text in a table in the middle. What happens when the visitor resizes the text? Have you tried that? What happens when you want to add more text? You need to develop a more flexible design.

• width of the hot text push down of elements?

Hello

Is there a way to make a text box - reactive width checked-pushing down of items below text when reducing the width of the browser?

This little video of hope can help you, I think it's that Artem.NewLife meant when you say "join".

I had the same problem when resizing the browser everything messy. By grouping the text + image of BG and 'Fixing' of the group in the text before all in place. Again, I have to do some more tweaking with the text IN the group, but thought to share with you while I'm.

See you soon!

I work with a third-party provider that adds agricultural markets that will update every 10 minutes on my site of muse. I'm a designer by trade, and they are the html code. They have problems with my original design elements being pushed around when they add the js include. They recommend at this time that I use another program like Wordpress, but I won't do that, because a large part of the site is designed and just add the markets. Here is the link to the site. At this point, the home page is the question. I can also provide a screen shot of how markets are supposed to look like

This part does not seem too difficult.

I bet they are now trying to "knit" their share of data right in your Muse- generated page, and they tell you that your code is terrible (and their smells like daisies). The usual clash...

But it might be easier for you (and many others) if they offer their content as a separate page of small, so you can incorporate it as an iframe tag in an HTML object in Muse. No matter what code for permission to host the iframe, could be inserted as a simple script in Panel of Options of Page of Muse.

• How to change the background color of selection of the selected item in the drop-down box of choice?

How to change the background color of selection of the selected item in the drop-down box of choice?

By default, the selection background color like 'blue', but if I want it to be "yellow" for example, how should I do?

Thank you

The id is applied by (I think) the skin of the ChoiceBox class. You don't need to define.

You must apply the css in an external style sheet. You can apply the external style sheet to any parent of the box of your choice, or on-site (the most usual way to do it).

Example:

import java.util.ArrayList;
import java.util.List;

import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.control.ChoiceBox;
import javafx.scene.layout.VBox;
import javafx.stage.Stage;

public class ChoiceBoxTest extends Application {

@Override
public void start(Stage primaryStage) throws Exception {
primaryStage.setTitle("Example 2");

final ChoiceBox choiceBox = new ChoiceBox<>();

List tempResult = new ArrayList();
for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
tempResult.add("Item " + i);
}
choiceBox.getItems().setAll(tempResult);

VBox root = new VBox();
root.getChildren().add(choiceBox);
final Scene scene = new Scene(root, 300, 250);
scene.getStylesheets().add("choiceBox.css");
primaryStage.setScene(scene);
primaryStage.show();
}

public static void main(String[] args) {
launch(args);
}

}

choiceBox.css:

@CHARSET "UTF-8";
#choice-box-menu-item:focused {
-fx-background-color: yellow ;
}
#choice-box-menu-item .label {
-fx-text-fill: black ;
}

(1) padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements contained in these divs have padding on their sides. This avoids any «mathematical model of box» Keep in mind, if you add lateral pads or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width that you set to create the * total width. You can also remove the padding of the element inside the div tag, and place a second div inside it with no width and padding necessary for your design.

(2) no margin was given to the columns, because they all floated. If you need to add the margin, avoid placing on the side you're floating into (for example: a right margin on a div set to float to the right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For divs where this rule needs to be broken, you must add a statement of ' display: inline ' to the rule of the div to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.

(3) given that the classes can be used several times in a document (and an element can also have several classes applied), the columns have received the names of classes instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar div could be stacked if necessary. These can easily be changed to the ID if that's your preference, as long as you don't use them once per document.

(4) If you prefer your nav on the right instead of the left, simply float those columns as the opposite direction (straight instead of left all) and they will return in reverse order. There is no need to move the div in the HTML source code.

Hello

The 'content' div's style to have 100px in height and visible from overflow. So the text overflows the div, but the footer "ignores" / ignore it is positioned after 'sidebar2 '.

Change the height of the 'content' to 100% and it should work.

Kind regards

• 3-column CSS & quot; push-down & quot; problem

I use a design in css 3-column nav for my site (take a look at rjkg.com/GS.html), but the Center and right columns are pushed down in Internet Explorer. Here's the css (navigation bar is on the left, headlines is right, and the content is Center):

{#navBar}
float: left;
Width: 20%;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
background-color: #ffddbb;
border-right: 1px solid #cccccc;
border-bottom: 1px solid #cccccc;
}

{#headlines}
float: right;
Width: 20%;
border-left: 1px solid #cccccc;
border-bottom: 1px solid #cccccc;
padding-right: 10px;
background-color: #ffddbb;
background: #ffddbb;
}

#content {}
float: left;
Width: 499px;
margin-top: 0px;
margin-right: 0px;
left margin: 0px;
}

What should I do to make showcorrectly in IE?

In addition, in Firefox, the center column is actually centered between the two boxes, but I wish it were. Clues?

Thank you for this beginner!
R.

I'll answer my own question in case someone else has this problem in the future.

I found the solution at http://www.kingcosmonaut.de/journal/3col-layout/

Basically, I placed the left sidebar (floating on the left) and the content of (floating on the right) Center in a wrapper, with the right sidebar floating just outside of the package. The problem is that IE really hates two columns, floating in the same direction, which seemed necessary to have 3-column navigation. There is a little nice and simple fix!

• Picture shrinks down during the back navigation

I have an app where I need to connect. My connection box is an image that is defined as a backdrop to a container. In addition, I use the label and textinput components. I use margins to hold the image in the center of the page. Wen I first put the app, everything seems fine. I login to go to the next page and do my stuff. When I logout, I sail lounging at the login page. At this hour the connection box background image shrinks down and watch components out of alignment. Can someone help me with this problem? I tried to listen to the logout event and set the margins back but will not work.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if a situation I recently applies here. A few days ago, I was working with labels and noticed a strange happening. whenever I run the method setSize on the label, it reduces its surrounding components. I still don't know how it goes. I deleted that line and when I re - fill my function everything is in its place and nothing is resized oddly. It is a long shot, but you use the setSize on the background image or any element contained in it? try to remove this function of all applicable components and see what happens. Good luck!

• NavBar menu drop down behind the sidebar

I sent this yesterday but didn't have not heard of anyone. Anyone want to take a stab at it for me please.

Would be someonoe take a look at the navigation bar on this site I'm redesign please.

Fall of IE7 under ministries and stewardship fall behind the top area of the sidebar. IE6 and FF looks good.

There are still a few errors that I work, but do not believe they have something to do with the navigation bar Act in this way in IE7.

Also in IE6 my head sometimes has very long. Thoughts?

I hope someone can help. Thank you.

Search for this rule:

{#navbar}
Background: url (.. / images/bg_topbar.jpg);
background-color: #13214 c;
height: 2.25em;
margin: 0;
}

Change to this:

{#navbar}
Background: url (.. / images/bg_topbar.jpg);
background-color: #13214 c;
height: 2.25em;
margin: 0;
position: relative;
z index: 999999;
}
