Input selection 1/2 on Scarlett 2i4

Logic newbie here - I don't seem to find an option for multitrack recording.  How can I differentiate / select input 1 or input 2 on my 2i4 Scarlett?  I have an AKG C214 connected to input 1, Taylor 316CE plugged ES2 on input 2.

Found on the mixer.

I just bought a Scarlett 2i4 hoping that time would have been solved compatibility problems. However, I'm unable to use it as an input/output device. Site Web Focus rite has a class compatible mode download that is supposed to solve this problem. And I installed it three times without success. Has anyone else had this problem and found a workaround. Thank you! I have a macbook pro mid 2012, el capitan 10.11.3.

Don't know if this will help.

I have a 2i2. When I got it, a few BONES in there, I couldn't make it work. I went back and forth with tech support Scarlett. They really tried, even sent several beta drivers. Nothing works.

Then I uninstalled all the software of Scarlett and restarted - and it works.

  • Basic and stupid, but frustrating: how to set top/receive the sound of Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 in logic?

Sorry to ask, I feel super stupid especially because I just took a record class this semester, but it's still where I got stuck for awhile it too: I so Scarlett 2i2 all set up and plugged into the port USB drive on my MacPro, with cables (1) (2) an electric guitar and a microphone , and light and everything seems to be connected correctly, but I can never understand what to do once I open the "empty project" in Logic Pro X, i.e. the Audio input > then what? I tried a number of combinations (entry 1, entry 2, entry 1 + 2) with two tracks and at times different logic seems to capture sound from either the microphone or guitar, but never both at the same time, and when I try to register, I get nothing. I know the 2i2 back sound, but I don't know how to get it in logic too - I am missing as a headphone set big enough to fit into 2i2 currently taking, then maybe this is part of the problem? Perhaps? I have no idea. Advice or simple suggestions are appreciated!

In the logic->-> audio Preferences that you have set up your input device to be the Scarlet?

Next, create two strips of channels (Audio)

Press x to open mixer and set strips in mono channel by clicking on the two circles - a circle is mono.

and on the entrance to the channel bandwidth select input 1 and input 2 for the other...

  • Select the function

A select function runs all code for values of entry for both entries, even if I have the wiring a constant FALSE to the Selector? (Can you avoid business structures with selection function?)

Yes. And no. LabVIEW is a language of stream, not a procedural language. Thus, a function will not run until all entries that are wired have given on these threads. That said, the Select function has no code in itself, if your question doesn't make much sense. Whatever the code is on the block diagram to generate data on the wire that is connected to the real part still needs to run as the Select function needs these data as the input selection is true or false.

The Select function is not designed to avoid and replace structures of the case. If so, there is no need of a box structure. It has its use, like the structure of the case. If you try to avoid the computation of something then it seems to me that you really want a case structure.

  • Audio Dell by MAXX does not work with external soun card

Hi, I use my Dell Inspiron 15 7537 with Win 8.1
I plug in external audio interface / sound card Focusrite Scarlett 2i4.
I installed the drivers and all the inputs/outputs work fine when they are defined in the Windows Audio Manager.
But in the application Dell Audio (supplied with Windows), I can not change any settings, Sound does not change. (Looks like the settings to change the internal souncard output, but not outside :()
I love this app Audio Dell with EQ etc. But can I use it with my external USB sound card?

    Thank you!
    David of the Czech rep.

    Duvik
But can I use it with my external USB sound card?

Hello David. The answer is no. WavesMaxx is a software that is supplied with the audio driver from Realtek and works only with the Realtek audio hardware on the motherboard.

  • Will not record or play... but says it is connected to my audio hardware

I have a focusrite scarlett 2i4 connected, and adobe does not allow me to record or play a track at all... What should I do?

In Edition/Preferences/Audio equipment make sure you class device as you selected ASIO and, under device, you have the selected driver of Focusrite.  You can find that you have to go to Windows Audio Control Center and select the Scarlett in the default device on playback and recording of the tabs.

If all this is correct, check that the value of the sampling on hearing is identical to the one defined on the interface.  A mismatch is a common source of this type of problem.

  • New Audio USB Interface lose sound on El Capitan

    Hi all!

A few weeks ago that I upgraded my MacBook Pro retina 15 "end 2013 to El Capitan, after that my USB Audio Interfaces (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4) and Safire 6 USB stopped working properly. Both work correctly when they are connected to an iMac 5K running the same operating system.

I can listen to Audio for some time (about 10-2 Minutes, it is always different), when the Audio starts to crush und get outs, after a certain time there is only silence "click on" come out of the speakers.

Heres an Audio file of the sound that results from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5nb96bmdh47kmi2/20160923%20141619.m4a?dl=0

I already tried to reinstall OS X (starting with CMD R and reinstall OS), reset PRAM and SMC. Nothing has changed the question. Any ideas where it comes from?

    Greetings

    Chris

It is most likely a software conflict. Note the time at which audio is running out. Open the Console and look for accidents or mistakes at this time.

The reason why it crashes on a mac, but not the others most likely is related to differences in software installed. Run Etrecheck on touch mac and post the report here.

  • How to midi playback?

I have connected my Korg Triton to my (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4) Audio interface with a midi cable. When I create a midi track, I am able to hear the sound, I chose on my keyboard and can also hear when I record but when I try to play back I get nothing even if when I record I see a region being developed with midi inside notes. When I try to reproduce this region I hear anything. Not even movement in the midi track Channel Strip. Does anyone have suggestions how I can read my midi recording?

Here are the settings I chose when creating the external midi track

In the image below you can see the region that was created when I recorded. You can also see the channel strip settings

You who have followed together at the exit of the MIDI from your keyboard?  You should have a MIDI IN and MIDI OUT cable, two cables of connection of the keyboard.  Or are you using a single MIDI cable?  You hear the real keyboard of his own sound source when recording.  Playback must be send these notes réécrirait the keyboard, so it can generate its own.  So why the notice signals aren't hitting the keyboard?  You see a Port assigned for notes to get out?  You see the orange reading light when the playhead reaches notes during playback?

It seems that John was a little down on his luck at the horse track. Seeing as they all had goats as family pets, prompted Glenn to remark that they might as well bet on goats.

Well, that was all it took for Ken, the practical joker of the group, to get an idea! The next day, Ken placed an ad in the local newspaper, advertising a Goat Race in Falmouth and giving his friend Glenn's phone number.

Meanwhile, back in the village, life went on as usual. Except, people started calling Glenn's phone number wanting to enter their goats in the race. Which didn't make any sense to poor Glenn's wife, who spent half of the day answering the telephone. But, being a good wife, she took everyone's name and phone number and when Glenn returned home that evening, she gave him the stack of messages (entries).

Now as the "good ol' boys" got together that night, they decided the only way to save face was to hold a goat race. And it was such a huge success that they have done it every year from that day up to the present.</p>

  • Toshiba 40TL968 turning itself off

    Hello

I bought 40TL968 Toshiba TV just 3 weeks back, but he began to show a problem. It stops automatically after every 30-40 minutes. There was no timer. I have reset it and then it worked fine for a few days before presenting the problem again.

I contacted the seller and there he traded (since it's only 2 weeks). This new TV was working fine until today. He showed the same problem and it turns off after a while. I also noticed that TV got hanged by looking at Dailymotion app and after that whenever I have it off, instead of LED red, orange has proved. I unplugged, but it was always on display LED orange instead of red. And then this problem to shut began. I don't know if they are related.

It is not even 4 weeks and two televisions showed the same problem. I'm tending to believe that well there are some wrong the entire series or with the stock running the retailer in question. I think on his return from the TV and get my money back.

Has anyone else facing the same problem with this model? Or have any idea why is it happening over and over again?

    My TV firmware is - 7.0.27.8.1 November 12, 2012-68.7.75.4

    Thank you
    D

In your case, I recommend that reset the settings of the TV.
You can do this in the system configuration menu, press up or down to select
Reset the TV. Press OK to select. A screen appears warning that all settings will be lost. Press OK to continue. When authorities set turn it back on, the Quick Setup is displayed. Press OK to move the Setup program and perform an auto tune.

By the way: the TV supports HDMI-CEC. When the connected equipment work, HDMI CEC control automatically detects the TV input selection. If the TV is in standby mode, it is re-activated (or turn off) automatically.
Then you should check if there is a case. The HDMI-CEC function can be turned on and off.

  • Is it possible to make the Enter key on my Mac keyboard function as a tab to complete the forms online faster?

On some web forms, it would be great to be able to use the number pad with enter key to enter numbers on a website with one hand while keeping the place on my paper with others. It's the only thing that slows me down left on my Mac.

Thanks for the email. Turns out that the assigned form designer a lot of values in double taborder (10, 10, -1, 10, 10, -1), then the script was confused trying to find the next Higher taborder.

This revised version is just going in the order rather than trying to find the next box logically. I name this is an EnterInFormN for 'natural order' to distinguish it from the others.

  • Qosmio G10: Entry Composite and WinDVD creator

I have a Qosmio G10 and WinDVD creator 2, such that comes with the machine. I am trying to copy some old VHS tapes on my HDD using WinDVD creator and the composite entry next to the socket (connected on VHS by the SCART and supplied adapter)

WinDVDc is not see anything at all to record from, and even less the composite input (which works fine when I press the "input select" button right next to the adjustment of brightness on the machine screw). I cannot therefore see or record through my TV signal analog, which is near the top and works very well in MC. I can record using MC but trust the dvr - ms format it uses is not editable and is much too inflated.

I also tried to use nerovision for the same purpose, but I get an error message saying "capture device is already in use...". ».

Sorry if it's a question of intervideo, but Tosh forums seem more useful.

    Help!

    Hey Jake

Watch download drivers (the valid section for your model and OS) for a registry patch. Take a look also at the info for it. I think this should solve your problem. This means that you will get the Composite as a data source in WinDVD Creator valid entry.

    Good luck

internal mic not working not not on my iMac with El Capitan?

Please open the sound pane in system preferences and select the Input select the input device (it should be on the list) and move the input volume slider all the way to the right.

Speak into the microphone. You shouldn't yell. The entry level indicator reacts?

If not, and if there are other devices of entry in the list, do they work? What is?

  • Problem of sound after the graphic upgrade &amp; PSU

System: Compaq Presario Media Center SR2019UK desktop PC.

I updated the PSU (power supply) at the exit of 700W (all verified compatibility) and installed a NVidia GeForce GT 240 PCI Express x 16 video/graphics card. The new video card works perfectly. Not surprisingly on this system, the integrated sound card does not work now, which is my problem. I studied various options (O.S. UAA Bus bus driver & update update / install guides, its BIOS affecting auto active etc.), but before I try one of them, please could someone who knew this advise me? -(Everything is always the same for the system. For example: operating system still XP Media Center Edition).

    Thanks to everyone?

    Hello

It seems that graphics card sound for HDMI controller might have exceeded Onboard Audio.

Go into the BIOS with the F1 key at startup-> press Advanced menu, select Onboard Audio, input, select activate. Press F10 to save and exit.

Restart the PC, go to the Manager of audio, video and game controllers, right click on related existing NVidia entered driver and click on uninstall.

Download and install the driver Audio Realtek from the URL below and restart the PC.
