  Apex.navigation.dialog from code using JavaScript is not often necessary, but there are cases where it is necessary and it can be done. The tricky part is that the URL should be generated by the server as PREPARE_URL. The general idea is to extract the url from the rest of the javascript code that is generated. This can be done on the server or the client.

  Regarding the example code above, I never recommend using eval and it is better to use the apex.server API (or DA) than the old htmldb_Get. You can return to the server to have it prepare the URL using ajax, but wherever possible it is best to have the server generate the URL when the page is loaded. If you do not use ajax have the server split the URL you can call apex.navigation.dialog and not eval.

  It would be really nice if in the future PREPARE_URL had an option to return to the dialogue page URL or the URL and strings but also separate options. Or it could be a different utility API.

  I have a problem with a pop up dialoge box.  I created the script that, at the opening of the page, you will be asked if this is the first letter or 2nd letter.  A field will display or hide the base on this answer

  I was unnecessarily save password dialogn on the page account rather than a web page of signIN.aspx. In the page, I have tabs. One of the tab, contains a user control to change password. Another tab contains a links to the history of orders.

  Once I click on the history of the order No. #, automatically change password dialog appears from nowhere I went through the source code and found out, the Web page contains OldPassword and NewPassword fields in divChangePassword.

  Please let us know, how to fix this bug. It does not appear on all other browsers.

  If there are fields of password on a web page, you can't possibly avoid this dialog box.

  All these fields are visible, or some are hidden.

  You could try to hide certain fields if they are now to see if that helps.
  You can do this with userChrome.css code or the Stylish extension.
  The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

  When you use this great plugin, I have a dynamic action on my calling page that deals with the selection of the dialog box.
  It uses
  Select the type object: DOM
  DOM object: document
  Condition: expression javascript

  where the js expression is to ensure that I run the correct dynamic action, especially when I have a few buttons on the page referring to different variants of the modal dialog box.

  It helps me to make decisions in subsequent actions on the opportunity to execute some pl/sql, for example
  
  In the light of a recent issue of my about a possible bug APEX (displayed with HTML item affected by the dynamic action and since we cannot put conditions on measures - I was wondering if I could incorporate something in my condition of dynamic action to stop all the dynamic enforcement action if modalPageCloseValue is null - but it seems to be out of reach?)

• Shortcut for the dialog box method replace Pages

  What is the method of shortcut keyboard to set up the dialog box replaces Pages.  I use a function to replace the Pages a lot in the preparation of PDF documents and need a faster method than to use the mouse on the side bar to the right of the tools.  I note this shortcut key to insert pages is Ctrl-Shift-I - what is the shortcut to replace Pages.  Previous Acrobat 9, I use alt - DNR, which brought up the dialog box replaces the Pages via the menu, but is no longer part of the Document in the menu bar — it has been deleted.  Please, it's VERY important to me.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  There is no keyboard shortcut to replace Pages and, unfortunately, there is no way in Acrobat X Pro to set a keyboard shortcut.

  The way the faster I know to bring up the command replace Pages is to customize the quick tools (the gear in the top toolbar icon) allows you to add Pages to replace the quick toolbar. It will then be a click to order.

• Script to open the dialog box "Insert reference."

  I'm trying to get something that I (thought) is quite simple. When I right click I want to add a menu option to the context Menu to open the "Insert cross-reference...." "Dialog box. But I can't seem to progress actually open this dialog box.

  Here's what I have:

  (1) I understand how to add context, based on http://www.hubbers.info/content/customize-indesign-and-incopy-contextmenus menu item

  (2) I understand in general how to launch the menu items, based on http://www.indiscripts.com/post/2010/02/how-to-create-your-own-indesign-menus

  However, I can't seem to understand whence these keys, and what is the key to the reference/menu dialog box. They reference the findKeyStrings() function, but it does not seem to return anything to "Insert cross reference", a name in my language menu item:

  I tried to change another script I found who poured everything menu ID, to empty the key values. While the "Insert cross-reference...." "and"Links and references"both appear with a box and identification, the KeyString is empty! I'm doing something wrong?

  Jscher200... you rock! Real Player was the problem. I've uninstalled it. I'm not taking any chances for the part of the application on my system, and my Flash Slide show works perfectly well.   In Windows and Mac confirmation dialog boxes are open now too wide. It extends on the right side of the page and therefore mask the user action buttons. The site has no horizontal scroll bar.

  You need your XP OS CD it can work if you borrow one.

• images dialog box is empty when you insert the memory card

  This is after you have inserted a card high capacity in the player, which hung the memory slot.  Now just insert a regular memory card, the dialog box appears, but there is nothing in it.

  FWIW... There used a similar problem with a Sony memory
  Stick... the solution is to insert the stick into the drive and
  Restart the computer... somehow this would reset the
  stick.  I don't know if it will work for you.

  You may also check your AutoPlay settings...
  If you insert the card and go to... Start / my computer...
  and right-click on the drive letter for the location of in the map is...
  choose... Properties / AutoPlay tab...

  Hi all

  I got a computer of friends to 'State of origin' of his recovery partition. Then, I updated all of the updates from Microsoft (with the exception of .net framework) including SP2 & SP3.
  He used to have a 'motions Autoplay dialog box"open whenever he inserted his USB - stick where it would generally select 'open folder to view files '.
  Now when he inserts, nothing happens at all & the dialog box no longer appears. Go to my computer to find and open the player and he really wants to do that. He just wants that box to open again. If I right click on all disks (including the USB - stick when it is inserted) I find the dialog box, and there again the "promt me what to do" box checked, but is not.
  I can't find someone out there still dealing with this particular issue. any help is appreciated.
