Insert special characters

Hi guys I have a XML with a lot of text, and some lines have & character but photoshoscript does not insert it on a text box, does anyone know how I can do to insert & char?

Thank you

IIRC, put a "&" in a ScriptUI element, you must have ' &' instead. Of course, this can vary from one version to the next.

What, you mean that in the 5 minutes that you posted it responded to nobody? Shocking indeed.

You already learned by yourself, 'content' is the wrong type of object stuff "SpecialCharacters' in. 'content' is the content of the text, translated in a simple string of Javascript. Only when you change a single 'character', you can use "SpecialCharacters", because at that time there Extendscript will see that you do not want to change the string "full"?

He's not that kind of editor. You can use the characters in a font. If you can select a font with the emoji, which fits into the case, and then enter the characters, it can work.

This suggests that you try to do TOO MUCH with a PDF file. It is a common thing, but the message should be: everything simply because you can edit a PDF file, does not mean that it is the most effective way for you to do your job.

  • Failed to insert special characters in the page document

I am suddenly unable to insert to insert special symbols in a Pages document. I did in the past without difficulty. I can bring up the menu of special symbols, but double clicking a symbol does nothing.

First, click in your document Pages, where you want the inserted symbol. Then, double-click on this symbol from the view of the center of symbols of the character, not the greatest symbol on the right panel.

  • How to insert special characters into CS4 Mac doc

I am using CS4 on Mac 10.6.6 and I have a doc I want to insert a special character, star. I added a new type layer, open the character Viewer to the mac system, chose the star, and when I double click or press the Insert button, I get only an X in a box instead of see the stars. I can get more than one digit to appear correctly, but not much. If I try to enter any character in the character palette in text or Word tool, they all work perfectly.

Check the police - probably that you chose a character that is not available in the font that you selected in Photoshop.

  • is it possible to insert special characters in the text of a label control

Can I insert an ascii extended character as a symbol of 'degree' (0xF8) in the label of a front panel control?

    Thank you.

If you know the decimal ASCII code.  F8 is equal to 176, then hold down the Alt key and type in the number in the form of 4 digits on the keypad.

So Alt-0176 on the numeric keypad enter the character directly without having to mess with the character map application.

Another good thing to know is Alt-0177 which is ± (plus/minus symbol).

  • Insert special Chracters

I can't insert special characters used in Swedish with the Fn + Alt + code number.  I read a Forum 2006 and who says the same thing as my help.  I can insert the table of characters but finds that heavy.  I am able to insert special characters on my PC with Vista.  I choose to use my laptop Inspiron 1525 XP now.  My warrany is exhausted and I can't figure out how to get help from Dell.

    A few points.

I did understand - and -agree that it is ridiculous that Windows users use applications 3rd party to do things that Windows should do on its own - but it is often the only answer.

Don't hold your breath waiting for an engineer to Support of MS to provide you with useful information.  You will first of all turn blue.

As I said, it is difficult to get special characters in this way on a laptop because it is not a separate numeric keypad.  So, as you explained, you have to press the button yet another (or keys) for the replacement of the key meaning (for example, to get a number 1 press the J key).

Although you can type some special characters by pressing the ALT key and two numbers on the numeric keypad (for example, ALT + 21 gives §), the "right" way to do is to use 4 digits, including a zero not significant or zeros if necessary).  The 4 digit code for the sign of the section is 0167.  For example, pressing ALT + 0167 gives §.  The cent sign is ALT + 0162-¢

You can find the correct code of the character map applet 4-digit.  Simply select a desired character - in some font you like, it is not important for most normal fonts - and look at the status bar at the bottom of the window.  On the left is the Unicode for the character, and its name (Unicode Table).  On the right - for some but not all of the characters - is the ALT 4 digit code.

At a glance, the characters easily available which can be generated in this way are between ALT + 0160 (non-breaking space, just before the "inverted exclamation point") via ALT + 0255 (lowercase y with diaresis), but there is more if one cares to hunt and Peck for some time.

  • Special characters in text boxes Acrobat XI (Windows)

I use Acrobat Pro XI for Windows. At my work we have some documents that we mark upwards using the features of the text box and not insert it text. In the older version of Acrobat I used until this year (sorry - I know not what version), it was easy to insert special characters such as accented letters, the daggers to announce notes, etc., in the text boxes. I could go to the Edit drop-down list and there was a "special character" field I could call, and from there, I would choose punctuation, Greek letters, various and several other choices. It couldn't be simpler. But I can't find a way to add special characters to the text boxes in Acrobat XI. Just to be clear, I'm not talking to modify the text in the original document. I want to talk about adding a text box and then using special characters in the text I'm typing in the box. I was able to type special characters in a Word doc and then copy / paste them in my text box in Acrobat, but it takes a long time and requires sometimes I mess with the font of the text box. Any help with this will be sincerely appreciated.

Special characters is a thing of Mac not a thing of Acrobat. So you have it on the PC.

Use the character map application on the PC. (Accessories - System Tools).

  • Special characters (keyboard Alt sequences) on an Aspire R14... How?

Hello. I recently bought an Acer Aspire R14

On my old desktop I used to play with special characters all the time, especially for the sharp symbol (ALT 130), but now I just can not understand how do on my Acer.

can you help me please?  What's the trick?

    Thank you

    Stef.

If you are referring to, for example the number 1 next to the letter J, I have them; they are blue on my keyboard.

but Ms words 2016, if I wana write an e and alt ctl with blue numbers 1,3,0 (the normal number of white on top will do nothing) it is a popup window appears and it does not...

so for the web it's alt clt 1,3,0 blue, and for the words of Mrs is alt x like you said, or in the world, to insert, symbol, special characters...

    your link is a winner

    Thanks again man
