Insert the Panel in Design view

It of just my computer or is it true for others? I have Dreamweaver CC 2015. When I begin to insert an item, such as a header, using the Insert the Insert dialog box Panel is displayed in design mode. In this dialog box, there is a menu drop down insert. If I pick up after the beginning before the end of the tag or the tag in this drop-down list a second dropdown becomes available. It seems that in this second drop-down menu that you are supposed to be able to choose different tags. The problem is, no matter where I am clicked in the document, the only tag that never appears in the second drop-down list is < body >.

insert_header.gif

I can do what I need in code view or mode live view, but it's bugging me.

Thank you

Jen

Figured out how to get something other than the body in the second dropdown. The second dropdown apparently shows that body and elements of ID

I wish, that he did not only elsewhere, but at least it now the logical 2nd drop-down list. Could not understand why he would be there if onlynever appeared in it.

Guess I need to use another method to get my h1 less than my rather nested within the NAV nav element. If it was just for me it would be easy but I write documentation for beginners in Dreamweaver.

  • White background behind the text in Design view

    I use DW8 for a few months now, and today he has decided to
    give me a headache. For some reason, all the text in Design view is

    the text, but horrible for the text that actually * is * white!

    It is not a problem of css or something like that; in fact, my pages display

    creation mode? Mine is broken!

    SHE FOUND!

    Turns, the problem was with some CSS which was intended to set the IE double margin float problem. I had a div style to ' display: inline ' to fix the double margin and makes somehow all the text background noise white... but only in the browser of DW. To resolve this problem, I created a file iehacks.css, put the code in this file and then linked to the file online hack in aConcerning

    I have a specific question about the size of the log file. I have deployed a database of test and I was exploring some aspects regarding the selection of the optimal size of recovery for performance logs by using the view v$ instance_recovery optimal_logfile_size. My main goal is necessary for example to reduce the bytes redo recovery. Currently I have not been able to optimize the size of redo log file. Here are the steps I followed: -.

    In order to use the view v$ instance_recovery, I had to put the fast_start_mttr_target parameter which is by default do not then I did as follows: -.

    (1) SQL > sho parameter fast_start_mttr_target;

    VALUE OF TYPE NAME
    ------------------------------------ --------------------------------- ------------------------------
    fast_start_mttr_target integer 0

    (2) setting the fast_start_mttr_target requires destroy deferred to the following parameters: -.
    SQL > show parameter log_checkpoint;

    VALUE OF TYPE NAME
    ------------------------------------ --------------------------------- ------------------------------
    log_checkpoint_interval integer 0
    log_checkpoint_timeout around 1800
    log_checkpoints_to_alert boolean FALSE

    SQL > select ISSES_MODIFIABLE, ISSYS_MODIFIABLE, ISINSTANCE_MODIFIABLE, ISMODIFIED parameter of $ v where name like 'log_checkpoint_timeout;

    ISSES_MODIFIABL ISSYS_MODIFIABLE ISINSTANCE_MODI ISMODIFIED

    Modified system.

    (4) SQL > select ACTUAL_REDO_BLKS, TARGET_REDO_BLKS, TARGET_MTTR, ESTIMATED_MTTR, OPTIMAL_LOGFILE_SIZE, CKPT_BLOCK_WRITES from v$ instance_recovery;

    ACTUAL_REDO_BLKS TARGET_REDO_BLKS TARGET_MTTR ESTIMATED_MTTR OPTIMAL_LOGFILE_SIZE CKPT_BLOCK_WRITES
    ---------------- ---------------- ----------- -------------- -------------------- -----------------
    276 165888 * 93 * 59 361 16040

    Here target MTTR was 93 so I put the fast_mttr_target to 120

    SQL > alter system set fast_start_mttr_target = 120 scope = both;

    Modified system.

    The size of the log file suggested by v$ instance_recovery is now 290 MB

    SQL > select ACTUAL_REDO_BLKS, TARGET_REDO_BLKS, TARGET_MTTR, ESTIMATED_MTTR, OPTIMAL_LOGFILE_SIZE, CKPT_BLOCK_WRITES from v$ instance_recovery;

    ACTUAL_REDO_BLKS TARGET_REDO_BLKS TARGET_MTTR ESTIMATED_MTTR OPTIMAL_LOGFILE_SIZE CKPT_BLOCK_WRITES
    ---------------- ---------------- ----------- -------------- -------------------- -----------------
    59 165888 93 59 290 16080

    After you change the size of the logfile to 290 as indicated below by v$ log view;

    SQL > select GROUP #, THREAD #, SEQUENCE #, BYTES of the log v$.

    GROUP # THREAD # SEQUENCE # BYTES
    ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
    1 1 24 304087040
    2 1 0 304087040
    3 1 0 304087040
    4 1 0 304087040
    (5) after you change the size, I observed the anomaly as redo log blocks to be applied for the recovery went to * $ 59 to 696 * v instance_recovery view is now also now offers the size of the log file of * 276 MB *. Have I misunderstood something

    SQL > select ACTUAL_REDO_BLKS, TARGET_REDO_BLKS, TARGET_MTTR, ESTIMATED_MTTR, OPTIMAL_LOGFILE_SIZE, CKPT_BLOCK_WRITES from v$ instance_recovery;

    ACTUAL_REDO_BLKS TARGET_REDO_BLKS TARGET_MTTR ESTIMATED_MTTR OPTIMAL_LOGFILE_SIZE CKPT_BLOCK_WRITES
    ---------------- ---------------- ----------- -------------- -------------------- -----------------
    * 696 * 646947 120 59 * 276 * 18474

    If please specify the output above, that I'm unable to optimize the size of the log file and have not been able to achieve the goal of reducing the redo log blocks to apply for recovery, any help is appreciated in this regard.

    I don't think that test for the optimum size of redo's CTD. Maybe if you did each week, as a regular or something, but the unique initial setup and sometimes check in production? N ° but it will be iterative as part of a deployment of init.ora Exchange.

    In addition, it is part of the DBA job to understand the recovery and what to expect. Which includes the understanding of all these parameters, init and tests for the environment. It also includes an understanding of the characteristics of the application and its load.

  • I downloaded CS4 Design Premium and asks me to insert the disc 1, but there is no disk 1... Help!

    I bought Adobe Design Premium CS4 and the disc has been destroyed, so I found the download on Adobe and downloaded. Then, instead of just run the file I downloaded, I extracted and burned it to DVD. When I ran the Setup and pick out what I wanted to install and he said: ' "Please insert the Adobe CS4 Design Premium 1 diskette in drive G:\ to continue the installation.".

    I have a serial number valid because I connected my Adobe and obtained from my account.

    I just need to name the DVD a number so that it works, or what I need to download the file again and just run it from the massive file, I download?

    I come to find the 2 original files I have downloaded and run the extraction auto app and it extracted all for Adobe CS4 Premium\Adobe CS4\Design and when I run Setup.exe, it worked fine. :-{)

    Thank you for all the time by reading this post and thanks kglad, but I thought about it on my own.

  • The Design view is missing.

    Help, please

    When you change the fluid layout, I lose the option to design view... This makes it much more difficult for me to do SOMETHING, because I don't have much experience with code.

    Hello NDCtour,

    What is expected in DW CC 20141. You cannot display or edit documents fluid grid in Design view more.

    For more information, take a look at this: http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/using/whats-new.html#Changes to the fluid grid documents

    New editing features have been added in mode Live View for pages in fluid grid in this version. We invite you to give it a try.

    If you want to use Dreamweaver CC 2014.0 for some reason, download it at the following address: install Dreamweaver CC 2014 was last updated

  • Problem with the Code/Design view buttons

    (My bad... maybe a clearer title will help you...)

    OK, I work with DW CS4 v.10.0 Build 4117 on a platform of Win XP Pro SP3.

    When you work with files from my site, they open in Code view.  The Split and design buttons are grayed out.  When I click the page layout button, the check mark is sometimes next to the option Code, but sometimes next to Design (even if the page is clearly displayed only in Code view!).

    To view the file in Design view or split view, click the page setup button, click on the Code, click on the button layout again, click Design or split view and then it will display the page in this way file.

    It's SO frustrating!  Is this a bug in CS4?  (I scanned through the other topics and can't seem to find anything about it.)  I don't remember having this problem with CS3 and have spoken with other DW CS3 users who also say that they have never had this happen.

    What can I do?

    Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Susan

    Hi Susan,.

    I might have a solution for this one. I had the same problem. It would be 'reliable' whenever I would create a new PHP file.

    "File" > "New" > "PHP" > Layout 'None' > 'Create' - no buttons 'Split' or 'Design' (grey)

    In 'preferences' under 'File Types/errors', there is a section "open in code view".

    I removed the. The extension PHP from here, tried again and it worked!

    Maybe it will work for you.

    Good luck

  • Link to the CSS problem (in Design view)

    Hello expert Dreamweaver,

    In the CS3 Dreamweaver Design view is not recovering styles specified in a linked style sheet. Let me explain...

    I use an application in our office who relies on HTML (but does not use a standard web browser).

    I need to refer to style sheets linked using a variable as if;

    [#1 example]
    "< link href="{FILES_DIR}/path/css/stylesheet.css "rel ="stylesheet"type =" text/css"/ >

    The use of the variable "{FILES_DIR}" construction eliminates the need to hardcode a drive letter in the link which is preferable. Without "{FILES_DIR}", I have to hardcode the letter drive as follows;

    [#2 example]
    "< link href="file:///K|/additional-path-details/path/css/stylesheet.css "rel ="stylesheet"type =" text/css"->

    The two examples above give the same result in the application (the style sheet is found and its styles applied correctly).

    However, only with the #2 example is "Design Mode" Dreamweaver pick up and apply the style sheet. Dreamweaver cannot find the style sheet or apply styles with example #1.

    My question is how can I do Dreamweaver to understand and apply what means "{FILES_DIR}.

    Advice, tips or pointers would be appreciated...

    Hello Thierry,.

    You said:

    Quote:
    Have you looked into the sheets of styles 'DTC '? That may solve your problem.

    Darn good idea! It solves my problem insofar as I can now apply a design view-specific style sheet even if Dreamweaver does not include the path that I actually have the code in the document.

    It seems to work.

    For everyone interested by this I found that it was not easy to search healp DW for a phrase with a hyphen in it. I had to use this 'design time style sheets' instead. Here's the online version;

    Use design-TIME style sheets

    Thank you!

  • RH10 project will save not subject in Design view.

    I made a post a while ago where I solved her problems in a project where we could not save the topics in Design view.  Go to the view HTML before a topic will save.  In the past we have found that the problem has been altered and or virgins User Variables.  This project has only 1 variable now and when we went from RH9 to RH10, our problem is back.  No other issue does exist in this project... so far... we can be as a result of the upgrade RH10.

    Has anyone else had this problem and or have their solution?  We have other projects like this that have no problem at all.  This project was created about eight years ago and spread through many versions of HR where our other projects have been through upgrades 1 or 2.  Perhaps some old junk is ruin it?

    Thank you

    DV

    I understood why the subjects won't save in Design view but will save in HTML view.  When our project has updated the references to our global variable for 'Revision_Current-letter' were broken.  I went to each master page (14 in all) and remove the variable global in the foot and replaced with the same variable but just a fresh itteration.  Then generated a report properties topic and find 3 subjects who had this false variable link.  I replaced these links with a new one and suddenly I could still save files in Design view.

    So very strange why Design discover blocked me to record subjects as a global variable was damaged.  When I double click on the wrong variable, he came empty.  I know that it is a problem of having empty variables in the past.  I guess the people of Adobe haven't fixed this problem of having a variable with no value!

    Hope this helps someone else.

    One other point, my project still does not compile HTML Help.  It helps on the Web, but not HTML Help.  I think I have a lead, but I'm going to open a new discussion for that because it's got a strange problem double path.
