  I'm working on a project I need to insert a video on the legend of failure in training mode in Adobe Captivate 6

  In other words, I used simulation software to produce the output I want

  So by default in training mode, a text caption is displayed in case of failure (when the user clicks outside the click box)

  What I want to do is remove the area of failure of legend text and instead of him put out a video with extension (.mp4) [or any other format I can code what is fine for me]

  Perhaps.  You can try to insert the video as a video synchronized multiple slides (even if it's on a single slide) which will then translate the video editing is locked in the timeline of the slide. You can drag the length of the blade of quiz and set the point of break of the quiz slide to where you want the video to pause.  Try in a quick experimental project and see if it does what you want.  The other way to pause the slide would be to use a smart shape button as other types of interactive objects can be added to the quiz slides.

• CP8 Question: if I stop an embedded video, how to put pause the slide as well?

  I have a slide with a MP4 built thereon. The video control see, but I'm not display the sliders.

  What I need to happen when the user places the video by using the video controls, the blade also stops at the same time. And when the user presses play, the blade continues.

  The reason is that at the end of the slide, 2 buttons appear to revive the project or to continue. But if the user does a pause the video by using the video controls, the buttons appear too early.

  Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thank you

  When you inserted the video you may have noticed that Captivate allows two types of display.

  Looks like you should use SLIDE video and video not an EVENT.  Then make a break from the slide would also suspend the video and vice versa.

• Re-insert the 8 Captivate quiz results slide

  I created a course of six modules, which all have a short quiz at the end. During the preview of the project with the project manager, quiz slides do not move forward in the preview of the course (and no more than the bar room). I had to go and remove the quiz slides and slides of results in order to highlight the entire course of my manager.

  Now that I'm trying to work on game shows, I am able to insert question slides but not the results slides that I would appear at the end of each short quiz.  This could be a framework global quiz I should change? Is there a way I can reset the quiz in the course and start from the beginning (with slides of results displayed)?

  I realize it's probably 101 stuff for everything that you users of Captivate veterans, but please bear with me... I am a newbie to Captivate.

  I am little confused: you can have only a single slide quiz and 01:20 in a CP-file (requirement of SCORM) and you seem to talk about several slides of results?  That should mean that you have created custom intermediate score slides as I explained here: Intermediate Score slides - Captivate blog

  Or each module in a separate cptx file? The slide of score will not be deleted at all, it's just hidden. You can make it visible again using preferences, settings, "Score at the end of the Quiz Show" Quiz

  Regarding the reset of the questions that is possible using the recovery button. Return to the user will be sent to the first slide question or being marked. This means that you will have to provide more than 1 attempt on Quiz level. More information about the slide in question/score:

  I am using Captivate 5 on XP.

  A question on the slides of question and the navigation between them.

  I have a slide menu with 6 chapters. Each of the chapters contain 3-4 slides. After each chapter, I have a question slide by a simple question about the chapter the user just visited.

  What I would like is that if the user answers correctly, he returned to the menu slide. If he or she responds badly, I would go to a saying to slide something like 'you answered incorrectly' and then go at the beginning of the same chapter. It would be even better if the user got another question when it will return to the issue once again.

  Then the same for the rest of the chapters. I already had a final quiz at the end, but I think that in this way with any questions after each chapter will be easier to use.

  Is it possible to orient the user based on the correct/incorrect answer to a question slide?

  What are the parameters of the Quiz? More specific: option then required. By resetting the failure levels, you now have a caption incorrect, right?

  And the quiz carried at least the menu slide, by inserting a button or click box, as Rod suggested at the beginning?

  BTW, if these questions are as simple as that (you may just created a sample) and one per chapter, I would have created question slides myself, not used the default question slides. This way you have full control and no mind as to the scope of quiz.

  I'm curious, what exactly is your problem?

  The system requirements for PSE14 and ss14 requires Quick Time 7 on Win or Mac.

  I just checked that I had not installed on my PSE14 on 10 to win Quick Time 7. No problem, but I rarely videos, and I have other viewing software like VLC media player.

  Just out of curiosity, I installed Quick Time 7 without problem.

  Wouldn't be a problem with Premiere Elements or Mac?

  Insertion of products Captivate SWF in another Captivate file could cause a lot of problems, you will find several threads in this forum.

  Hello

  If you want to display the timer and restart on each slide, add it to the slide master. If you want the calendar for the full amount of slides, add it to the first Question slide and set it to show to the rest of the project. If you must get rid of the timer later (after the slides in question), you'll have to hide using an action at the entrance to the first slide where you won't see the widget of the timer.

  Your approach is ineffective.  Instead of a loop in the results of the query and make individual inserts, make a single sql insert.

  For your post at 04:48, of course there is no component "hour".  The example you showed has time 00:00.

  I'm trying to insert a set of values in a table where one of the values necessary for inclusion is identical to the auto-generated primary key. I am not currently insertion of the value for the primary key because it is generated automatically. Given that I'm not insert the value of the primary key, is anyway to set another value inserted on the same primary key value?

  The primary key for this table is called device_seq which is generated automatically and must be unique which as you can see from the above insert statement is inserted, and the netbios_id must be set to the same value when inserting.

  Welcome to the forum!

  When you say that device_seq is 'auto generated', do you mean that there is a trigger that provides this value? (I assume you are using a sequence, but it probably does not matter in this issue). See if you can change the trigger. If netbios_id is always the same as device_seq when you INSERT (but can be changed by updates later), then it is very easy. Otherwise, you may need to designate some specail value (as - 9E9) which replaces the trigger with the same value that it used to device_seq.

  Change the trigger is the only good way I can think of that. If you can't touch the existing trigger, you might be able to add a new trigger, but it would be more complicated and less effective.

  I'm having some trouble finding how to insert a hyperlink in my document. I would like to insert a link in my document that, when clicked, opens a new Web browser at the specified URL. I read the online help and thought that I had inserted the text correct marker but I don't get the results I wanted.

  I have inserted the marker of Hypertext "Message URL" and the URL address. I have a link but nothing happens when I click it. I missed or done wrong? It is even possible to do?
