Insert/update backend table values enterd until end fron.

Hello

I am new to oracle forms.
My question is that I created a page in the forms. And I have a table in the back-end.
I have the option to enter a value and if I click on submit this value should be inserted into the rear end table button.
You can help.

1 suppose that you created a X block with base table MyTable.
2 U fill the columns with values.
3. When you click the button, the commit_form will automatically record their to MyTable. .. so just commit_form;

  • Newly inserted row in Table not visible until scroll us - question of ease of use

    Hello

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.5

    I have a table in a page and an Add button which will add a new row in the table.
    I just add the line before the current line.
    After you have added the line, I put new line on the current line in the View object.

    When there are a number of lines in the table and we have a scroll bar on the table to display the rows preceding and following, the question of ease of use, I am facing.

    Steps to follow:
    -Select the first row in the table
    -Scroll downwards several times so that the first line is not visible in the table
    -Added a new line

    This will add the line before the first line, but the problem is we cannot see it as the selected active line and is not ready for data entry.
    Users need to scroll upwards or downwards to find where the row is inserted.

    Is there a way we can set the focus on a particular point on the new line in the table?
    Or is there a way that we can make the new line to shown during creation, regardless of the current visibility of the rows in the table?
    Or can we get handle for the current line or any component of the current line so that we can try to set the focus?

    I observed the same behavior in the ADF components demo
    http://jdevadf.Oracle.com/ADF-richclient-demo/faces/components/table/updateableTable.JSPX

    I am new to ColdFusion. I am learning to write querys and creates a small application to collect information from visitors to my web site. I don't know if I'm still gather the appropriate variables to compare them to existing DB records until his execution is the update or insert some querys. I'm close on this? This throws any errors, but it is not no longer works. It is so obviously wrong. I get a cfdump the end of my query of compairison, but once it hits the stated case, it is lost.

  • How to capture information on what program is inserting/updating of the data in the table?

    Hello

    I'm working on an application where we have an ABC chart that has a STATUS column. This column is updated from somewhere.

    However, we are unable to determine where this COLUMN is updated. I checked the DBA_SOURCE table to see if this table is updated from any oracle proc / function. But isn't.

    Is there anyway that I can identify what program will update this table? I can create a before update trigger but I'm not sure if that I can capture program (shell script / informatica workflow) that is updated in this table.

    You can use in a trigger SYS_CONTEXT 'USERENV' information ' MODULE'

    create table mytable
    (
      col1   VARCHAR2(10)
    , col2   VARCHAR2(50)
    );

    create or replace trigger mytable_bi_trigger
    before insert
    on mytable
    for each row
    begin

        :new.col2 := SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','MODULE');

    end;
    /

    -- from Toad
    insert into mytable(col1) values('Test 1');
    commit;
    -- From sqlplus
    insert into mytable(col1) values('Test 2');
    commit;

    select * from mytable;

    COL1       COL2
    ---------- --------------------------------------------------
    Test 1     TOAD 11.0.0.116
    Test 2     SQL*Plus

    You can also capture a lot more information (host name of the client, the os user, etc.).

  • Difference between insertion back-end and front-end insertion into a table.

    I develop a conversion program for the tax exemption. For this program the table ZX_EXEMPTIONS is used to fill the data and we got confirmation from Oracle also in this regard. To insert the data in this table take us the max of tax_exemption_id who is pk for this table and by adding one to it and insert in the table. But the problem here is after the insertion of the back-end that we are not able to insert front end.

    It seems that data backend is the tax_exemption_id which is supposed to reserve front data. Please explain the different behavior of filling of tax_exemption_id of front-end and back-end.

    Hello

    I think the problem is that you do not value max + 1 tax_exemption_id. But as ZX_EXEMPTIONS uses the ZX_EXEMPTIONS_S sequence
    for primary key generation, you encounter the situation as you increase PK Id for this table without increasing the value of the sequence.
    When you try to insert rows from front end - which probably uses the value of the sequence - it tries to use a sequence already used by your backend value
    treat (which he generated by Maxvalue + 1) and then would face a primary key violation.

    I think you need to use the sequence mentioned above for generating your KP login to the backend process. And before that, check the current value
    to ZX_EXEMPTIONS_S, you may need to rebuild the sequence to select nextval successfully for the frontend and backend.

  • Best way to update a table with separate values

    Hi, I would really appreciate some advise:

    I need to regularly perform a task where I update 1 table with all the new data that has been entered in another table. I cannot perform a complete insert because this will create data duplicated each time it works, so the only way I can think of is the use of cursors in the script below:

    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE update_new_mem IS
    tmpVar NUMBER;

    CURSOR c_mem IS
    SELECT nom_membre, member_id
    OF gym.members;
    CREC c_mem % ROWTYPE;

    BEGIN
    OPEN c_mem.
    LOOP
    SEEK c_mem INTO crec;
    EXIT WHEN c_mem % NOTFOUND;
    BEGIN
    UPDATE gym.lifts
    Name = crec.member_name
    WHERE member_id = crec.member_id;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN NULL;
    END;
    IF SQL % NOTFOUND THEN
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO gym.lifts
    (name, member_id)
    VALUES (crec.member_name, crec.member_id);
    END;
    END IF;
    END LOOP;
    CLOSE C_mem;

    END update_new_mem;

    This method works, but y at - it a (faster) easier way to update another table with new data only?

    Thank you very much

    Almost anything would be better than this treatment of slow-by-slow loop.

    You don't need a procedure, you should just use MERGE for this. See the examples in the section of the MERGER of the doc of the SQL language
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B28359_01/server.111/b28286/statements_9016.htm

    MERGE INTO bonuses D
       USING (SELECT employee_id, salary, department_id FROM employees
       WHERE department_id = 80) S
       ON (D.employee_id = S.employee_id)
       WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE SET D.bonus = D.bonus + S.salary*.01
         DELETE WHERE (S.salary > 8000)
       WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN INSERT (D.employee_id, D.bonus)
         VALUES (S.employee_id, S.salary*.01)
         WHERE (S.salary <= 8000);

  • How to perform an addition of column values in an insert query that would insert in the 3rd column, and the values how to insert into another table.

    I have two tables (2) RESULT TAB (1)

    CREATE TABLE TAB

    (

    NUMBER OF SNO

    A NUMBER,

    B THE NUMBER.

    NUMBER OF THE SUM

    );

    CREATE AN ARRAY OF RESULT

    (

    NUMBER OF SNO

    NUMBER OF THE SUM

    )

    my doubt is:

    (1) I want to insert a table TAB, my question is how to insert a column to the SUM using the column A AND B... Here im adding two values of the column and store result in the AMOUNT column.

    SNO   A  SUM

    1 100 150 250

    2 300 100 400

    I want to like this, it is possible with single insert query?

    (2) at the time of the insertion TAB of values that SNO, and the values of table TAB $ insert in the table of RESULTS... is it possible these two inserts at the same time?

    in fact, im using another this table.fro TAB and easy to understand I write like that, please solve this problem

    First, you post in the wrong forum as this one is only for Oracle's SQL developer tool. So you might ask your question in the general forum of SQL.

    Second, you might solve your problems with bind variable:

    Insert tab

    (sno, a, b, sum)

    values

    (: SNO,: A: B: A + B :))

    You should not use sum as column name because it is a reserved word.

    More you cannot insert into two different tables with a single SQL, but you can use PL/SQL to do this:

    Start

    insert into tab values (: SNO,: A: B: A + B :);)

    insert into result values (: SNO,: A + B :);)

    end;

    If you meet sno from a sequence, you could do something like this:

    Start

    insert into values tab (seq_sno.nextval,:,: B,: A +: B) return sno in: SNO.

    insert into result values (: SNO,: A + B :);)

    end;

    Hope that helps,

  • Interface - value in the target field change on insert/update

    Hello

    For an interface, I use the module knowledge - incremental update of the IKM Oracle.

    He is running in insert / update of fashion.

    In the target of the interface table, there is a the target field (column) that I want to give a value based on exploitation.

    If the file is new and inserted into the target table - the field in the record should get the value "INSERT".

    -Similarly, if an existing record in the target table is updated - the field of the record should get the value "UPDATE".

    Any ideas on how you can do it?

    Thank you.

    You just need to customize your KM. Its can be done in many ways. Here is one approach.
    Change the existing lines of your update. Then change as below. But make you your own customization without hard coding.
    Here is codes, the fraction of the total code used in the KM steps.

    ){"?>(
         <%=odiRef.getColList("", "T.[COL_NAME]", ",\n\t", "", "((UPD AND (NOT UK) AND (NOT TRG)) AND REW)")%>
    *, COL_FLAG. *
    ) =
    (
    Select < %="odiRef.getColList" ("«,="" « s.="" [column] », »,="" \n\t\t\t »,="" « »,="" « ((upd="" et="" (pas="" uk)="" et="" (pas="" trg))="" et="" rew) »)="" %=""> *, "UPDATE."
    of< %="odiRef.getTable" ("l",="" "int_name",="" "w")="" %="" >="">
    where< %="odiRef.getColList" ("",="" "t.="" [column]="S." [column]",="" "\n\t\tand\t",="" "",="" "uk")="" %="">
    )

    Similarly for new lines inserted

    insert into <%=odiRef.getTable("L","TARG_NAME","A")%> T
    (
         <%=odiRef.getColList("", "[COL_NAME]", ",\n\t", "", "((INS AND (NOT TRG)) AND REW)")%>
         <%=odiRef.getColList(odiRef.getColList(",", " ", "", "", "((INS and !TRG) and REW)"), "[COL_NAME]", ",\n\t", "", "((INS AND TRG) AND REW)")%>
    *, COL_FLAG. *
    )
    Select< %="odiRef.getColList" (" »,="" « [column]="" «, »="" \n\t »,="" « »,="" « ((ins="" et="" (pas="" trg))="" et="" rew) »)="" %="">
    < %="odiRef.getColList" (odiref.getcollist="" («, »,="" "«,="" « »,="" « »,="" « ((ins="" and !="" trg)="" et="" rew) »),="" « [expression]="" «, »="" \n\t »,="" « »,="" « ((ins="" and="" trg)="" et="" rew) »)="" %="">*, "INSERT."

    of <%=odiRef.getTable("L","INT_NAME","W")%> S

    It should work. Your target must have the column as "COL_FLAG" and do nothing for this column in the map interface.
    Thank you

  • update to column values (false) in a copy of the same table with the correct values

    Database is 10gr 2 - had a situation last night where someone changed inadvertently values of column on a couple of hundred thousand records with an incorrect value first thing in the morning and never let me know later in the day. My undo retention was not large enough to create a copy of the table as it was 7 hours comes back with a "insert in table_2 select * from table_1 to timestamp...» "query, so I restored the backup previous nights to another machine and it picked up at 07:00 (just before the hour, he made the change), created a dblink since the production database and created a copy of the table of the restored database.

    My first thought was to simply update the table of production with the correct values of the correct copy, using something like this:

    Update mnt.workorders
    Set approvalstat = (select b.approvalstat
    mnt.workorders a, mnt.workorders_copy b
    where a.workordersoi = b.workordersoi)
    where exists (select *)
    mnt.workorders a, mnt.workorders_copy b
    where a.workordersoi = b.workordersoi)

    It wasn't the exact syntax, but you get the idea, I wanted to put the incorrect values in x columns in the tables of production with the correct values of the copy of the table of the restored backup. Anyway, it was (or seem to) works, but I look at the process through OEM it was estimated 100 + hours with full table scans, so I killed him. I found myself just inserting (copy) the lines added to the production since the table copy by doing a select statement of the production table where < col_with_datestamp > is > = 07:00, truncate the table of production, then re insert the rows from now to correct the copy.

    Do a post-mortem today, I replay the scenario on the copy that I restored, trying to figure out a cleaner, a quicker way to do it, if the need arise again. I went and randomly changed some values in a column number (called "comappstat") in a copy of the table of production, and then thought that I would try the following resets the values of the correct table:

    Update (select a.comappstat, b.comappstat
    mnt.workorders a, mnt.workorders_copy b
    where a.workordersoi = b.workordersoi - this is a PK column
    and a.comappstat! = b.comappstat)
    Set b.comappstat = a.comappstat

    Although I thought that the syntax is correct, I get an "ORA-00904: 'A'. '. ' COMAPPSTAT': invalid identifier ' to run this, I was trying to guess where the syntax was wrong here, then thought that perhaps having the subquery returns a single line would be cleaner and faster anyway, so I gave up on that and instead tried this:

    Update mnt.workorders_copy
    Set comappstat = (select distinct)
    a.comappstat
    mnt.workorders a, mnt.workorders_copy b
    where a.workordersoi = b.workordersoi
    and a.comappstat! = b.comappstat)
    where a.comappstat! = b.comappstat
    and a.workordersoi = b.workordersoi

    The subquery executed on its own returns a single value 9, which is the correct value of the column in the table of the prod, and I want to replace the incorrect a '12' (I've updated the copy to change the value of the column comappstat to 12 everywhere where it was 9) However when I run the query again I get this error :

    ERROR on line 8:
    ORA-00904: "B". "" WORKORDERSOI ": invalid identifier

    First of all, I don't see why the update statement does not work (it's probably obvious, but I'm not)

    Secondly, it is the best approach for updating a column (or columns) that are incorrect, with the columns in the same table which are correct, or is there a better way?

    I would sooner update the table rather than delete or truncate then re insert, as it was a trigger for insert/update I had to disable it on the notice re and truncate the table unusable a demand so I was re insert.

    Thank you

    Hello

    First of all, after post 79, you need to know how to format your code.

    Your last request reads as follows:

    UPDATE
      mnt.workorders_copy
    SET
      comappstat =
      (
        SELECT DISTINCT
          a.comappstat
        FROM
          mnt.workorders a
        , mnt.workorders_copy b
        WHERE
          a.workordersoi    = b.workordersoi
          AND a.comappstat != b.comappstat
      )
    WHERE
      a.comappstat      != b.comappstat
      AND a.workordersoi = b.workordersoi

    This will not work for several reasons:
    The sub query allows you to define a and b and outside the breakets you can't refer to a or b.
    There is no link between the mnt.workorders_copy and the the update and the request of void.

    If you do this you should have something like this:

    UPDATE
      mnt.workorders A -- THIS IS THE TABLE YOU WANT TO UPDATE
    SET
      A.comappstat =
      (
        SELECT
          B.comappstat
        FROM
          mnt.workorders_copy B -- THIS IS THE TABLE WITH THE CORRECT (OLD) VALUES
        WHERE
          a.workordersoi    = b.workordersoi      -- THIS MUST BE THE KEY
          AND a.comappstat != b.comappstat
      )
    WHERE
      EXISTS
      (
        SELECT
          B.comappstat
        FROM
          mnt.workorders_copy B
        WHERE
          a.workordersoi    = b.workordersoi      -- THIS MUST BE THE KEY
          AND a.comappstat != b.comappstat
      )

    Speed is not so good that you run the query to sub for each row in mnt.workorders
    Note it is condition in where. You need other wise, you will update the unchanged to null values.

    I wouold do it like this:

    UPDATE
      (
        SELECT
          A.workordersoi
          ,A.comappstat
          ,B.comappstat           comappstat_OLD

        FROM
          mnt.workorders A -- THIS IS THE TABLE YOU WANT TO UPDATE
          ,mnt.workorders_copy B -- THIS IS THE TABLE WITH THE CORRECT (OLD) VALUES

        WHERE
          a.workordersoi    = b.workordersoi      -- THIS MUST BE THE KEY
          AND a.comappstat != b.comappstat
      ) C

    SET
      C.comappstat = comappstat_OLD
    ;

    This way you can test the subquery first and know exectly what will be updated.
    This was not a sub query that is executed for each line preformance should be better.

    Kind regards

  • Release of updated with the value of the other Table

    Hello
    I need the sum there point TableB and insert/update this value in the X field in TableA. I can do this with select statements regular when I add values in my statement, but I'm getting errors now. Need help on how to code the trigger to do this, thank you.
    ORA-00936: lack of expression
    SELECT a.X, SUM(b.Y),
    INTO a.X
    FROM TableA a, TableB b
    WHERE a.PK = b.FK;

    Ok. I think I understand now what's going on. Think logically that you create the customer first and only then customer can create orders, right? So when you insert a customer into the table DEMO_CUSTOMERS there is no customer order in the DEMO_ORDERS table. As a result, the CREDIT_LIMIT column remains NULL.

  • How can I update this table with values from another table?

    Hello

    I have a table 'governed '. I want to replace the values in the column "regies.agent" by the value of the column "regies_personnes.id."
    As you can see the tables have a column of common values. IE regies.agent = regies_personnes.nom

    Table 'governed ':
    Insert into 'authorities' (AGENT) values ('Humberdot Alain");
    Insert into 'authorities' (AGENT) values ("Danard Patrick");

    Table 'regies_personnes ':
    Insert into REGIES_PERSONNES (NAME, ID) values ("Humberdot Alain", 1);
    Insert into REGIES_PERSONNES (NAME, ID) values ("Danard Patrick", 2);

    Before having it
    SQL > select agent of authorities;
    Humberdot Alain
    Patrick Danard

    After the update, the result should be
    SQL > select agent of authorities;
    1

    Thank you for your kind reply.

    You can

    update regies r set agent = (select id from regies_persones p where r.agent = p.nom)
      where exists (select id from regies_persones p where r.agent = p.nom)

  • Check out when a last accessed table (select, insert, update) with time stamp. Auditing enabled

    Hello world

    IM pretty new to audit the database. Auditing is enabled in the database. I would like to retrieve the news all of the objects belonged to a certain pattern when it was last accessed (select, insert, update) with time stamp. Is there any script for this? Your time and your reply is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Database version: 11.2.0.4

    Enable audit is not quite enough to get the details when the table is updated/inserted/selected.

    You must activate audting on the object level, then you may only be able to see your report of your choice.

    SELECT OBJ_NAME, ACTION_NAME, to_char (timestamp, ' dd/mm/yyyy, hh') of sys.dba_audit_object.

  • Updated with the values in the same table, for other records corresponding to conditions

    Hi Experts,

    Sorry do not provide the structure of the table (it is a simple structure)

    I have a requirement where I need to update the columns of a table based on the same table with some match empid and date values. If the date and empid match so I have these values to any other folder and update of one who is not having details of Office . I need the Update query

    Before the update my array of values is as below

    Sort_num Emp_id Bureau start_date

    1 101 AUS 01/01/2013
    2 101 01/01/2013
    3 101 15/01/2013
    4 103 USA 01/05/2013
    5 103 01/01/2013
    6 103 05/01/2013
    7 104 FRA 01/10/2013
    8 104 10/01/2013
    9 104 01/01/2013

    After update my table should be as below

    Sort_num Emp_id Bureau start_date

    1 101 AUS 01/01/2013
    2 101 AUS 01/01/2013
    3 101 15/01/2013
    4 103 USA 01/05/2013
    5 103 01/01/2013
    6 103 USA 01/05/2013
    7 104 FRA 01/10/2013
    8 104 FRA 01/10/2013
    9 104 01/01/2013

    Thanks in advance

    I don't have the time to create the table with the data, but basically, you should be able to code the following text

    update one table

    Office set = (select desktop in table b where b.emp_id = a.emp_id)

    and b.start_date = a.start_date

    and b.office is not null

    )

    where is ([as well as overall query])

    and a.office is null

    In my opinion, who will do the trick.

  • Insert, Update, Delete on a partition table not even at a time

    Hello
    I have a non-partitioned table on which inserts, updates and deletes come at the same time due to which I am facing problem of contention.
    What would be the ideal solutions to solve my problem (deletion conflict.)

    Thank you
    Badin

    Can you give us more details on the "problem of contention"? This could mean a very large number of different things.

    You have different sessions simultaneously update the same row in the table, for example? If so, you probably need to look at the architecture of the application to avoid multiple sessions to the same line at the same time setting, or you would need to look at the data model to avoid multiple sessions to update the same line at the same time setting.

    But there could be dozens of other kinds of claim that you could talk.
