  I use Windows XP Edition Media and Dreamweaver 8. We recently took a few videos that I would like to publish on our site. I saved the file as a .flv and have tried to insert. When I do, I get this message:

  I tried to detach this page from the template, but when I go on edit - properties of the model, there is no model or properties listed. I tried to insert this video into a blank page and it worked if something is wrong with this page that I took of our model. How can I solve this problem?

  I want to insert a video in windows media player on my Web page. (actually I want to insert 3 on 1 page, but to start, I'll be happy with 1!)

  Dreamweaver, says it does not recognize the file type, and using dreamweaver is pretty bad on this topic.

  Flash Video is the gold standard used on YouTube, FaceBook, MySpace and other video sharing sites now.  DW makes it easy to insert Flash Video, but harder for other types of files.

  In Code view, paste this into your page and change the two instances of videofilename.wmv to yours.

• Add Flash video to web page

  I have a web page that I added a flash video using the insert flash video in Dreamweaver. I downloaded all the files including the additional files that are created when you use that option and when I try to get the video file once I downloaded it will not play. If I use a link directly to the .swf, then he will play, but the link to the page where the video is inserted just shows a blank page. Can someone give me advice on how I can get this to work.
  PS Si I have the preview of my office before you download on the site it works fine.

• Are there known issues w / insert flash CS4 video?

  I tried to find the cause and the solution to my problem w / insert a flash video (created by conversion to FLV mp4) on my site.  For now, I use a test page until I have the solution.  In CS4, I choose INSERT, MEDIA, FLV...  All work as expected.  I put all the files, including 4 dependent files created by CS4 on my remote server.  I am able to successfully use 'Live View' and also with success seen in IE and Firefox.  However, when I go to the page on my site, I get the message in my status bar, "Waiting for www.firstreflectionav.com...» ».  The page is http://www.firstreflectionav.com/test/Untitled-3.html.  I am absolutely convinced that I put all the local files on my remote server.  Are there known problems that could explain this behavior?  Thank you.

• Need help inserting flash animation in the article...

  I inserted the video into flash movie. I loaded the .swf and .fla files on a server and is gone in the properties of the flash movie and pointing to the server to retrieve the .fla file & file .swf controls.  I can listen to clips from the movie in flash without problem.

  I am wanting to use the object code that has been created within the .html file that was generated by the flash and insert this into an article to display the video.  I traced the .swf file in the code object to point to where it resides on the server, but the video will not play using the code object only. Is there a way to do it using only one object or code without the need for integration scripts?

  (I'm using version CS4)

  If the swf file does not reside in the same folder as the html page that loads, so if the video is dynamically loaded into the Flash file, chances are the targeting in the swf file needs to be adjusted.  If swf files target just the video of his single file name, try to put the video file in the same folder as the html file and see if it is responsible.

  DW cannot add a poster to your video frame. You need to make your project
  in Flash for it.

• INSERTING FLASH PROBLEMS

  I created a very simple Flash document in Adobe Premiere Elements, and I would use it on my website that I created in Dreamweaver 8. I want to auto play and auto loop and doesn't want a skin. I can't do that when I use Insert, Media, Flash Video, so I thought I'd try Insert, Media, Flash. The property a loop and auto box play checked, but when I preview it in my browser, nothing shows up. I have the flv file that is saved in the directory root (called WebsiteFlash.flv) If you want to see what it does, here is the link:

• Other skins of Flash Video Controller

  I use DW CS3. I am a very basic level user doing business sites/pages and must get things quickly. I'm not much in the HTML coding.
  
  I like the fact that when I have a page in DW it's simple to choose «Insert - Media - video Flash...» "and I get the list of choices for the file to be inserted and the drop-top-players/skins to use. I usually create videos of 640 x 480 and I usually choose the last one in the list: Halo 3. I always just choose "Detect size" and that's all.
  
  However, I really need to add 'current time' and 'total time' indicators ('Min' format) so that viewers will know the time they're in for and so I can have the consultants how on certain parts of the content of video data.
  
  I really, really, REALLY want to end up with the same features luxuriously simple that I now have the integrated current choice: Just choose it from the drop down menu, choose "Detect size" and done with it and move.
  
  I like too much to stay with generally minimalist, clean, elegant and professional look allowing the skin to Halo (Finally, it is very similar to the typical skin from YouTube also).
  
  And I would really like for her to really debug and 100% reliable, functional and compatible with the DW CS3 program.
  
  I am happy to pay to buy what I'm after.
  
  (Note: if it just can't be done and don't exist, so please guide me to the simpler way to achieve the thing most close this by placing the code HTML and files in folders to the need - or anything else you can suggest.)

  I found the solution in The JW Player. I paste the text in the HTML code and it took time to learn to do, but now that I have it down it is quite what I wanted. Very professional, clean looking for player. It shows the elapsed and total time. And it shows the progress of the buffer. In addition, it allows the user select an image to appear before playing. And I can have as many players as I want on the same HTML page.

• When Shockwave Flash is activated it causes flash videos trolling

  I just got a new laptop (Acer) with Windows 10. In Firefox 42.0, all youtube videos play fine (because of HTML5, I guess), but the Flash videos trolling. I put Shockwave Flash plugin list for 'Never activate' that corrects the laggards. But now some videos on other sites are not at all because they need Shockwave Flash (they also staggered forward, for your information).

  What do you think is the problem? Of course I want to have it turned on all the time, but without any delay.

  I found the problem. It was crappy Acer CPU. During playback of Youtube videos that Firefox took the CPU to 95% most of the time and with the Flash it was even worse because of Firefox and Flash player running at the same time.

  So my problem must be fixed by buying a cell phone better. That's what I get for assume that all laptop these days can run Youtube videos.

  Thanks for the help, and I hope what I found helps other people also have this problem.

• I can't watch flash videos, receive the missing message "Flash Player..."

  I can't Flash videos keep getting message "lack the flash player plugin. However I installed flash player 12 several times, the installation appears to complete successfully, but reloading page flash player missing again appears. I can play videos from Youtube, because they play automatically using the html5 player. The two 12 Flash activex/plugin appears in the list of programs, but do not appear in the list of modules ff.

  I have tried to reset firefox, recently updated to 27, have also re-installed pluginsreg file as suggested, but nothing helps. Hope you will be able to help

• Firefox for windows does not display absolute divs positioned on flash video

  I have a site that has a brightcove video player. About a month or two before I could separate the video of divs so that they would appear on top of the video player, using absolute positioning.

  In Firefox (mac), Chrome (windows), Internet explorer (windows) and Safari (mac) it always display correctly. In Firefox (windows), the video player ignores the index-Z I assign and always place the divs below, except IF I give the div floating a solid background color.

  When I assign the following styles to the div that contains the overlay, I can see the text correctly, but of course the video is blurred.

     background-color: #FFFFFF;
     height: 158px;
     position: absolute;
     top: 4px;
     width: 275px;
  

  If I remove the entire overlay background color element appears at the back of the battery behind the video again.

  Is this a bug of windows FF or am I just missing something obvious?

  Sometimes, you gotta add wmode = "transparent" attribute to the flash video code embed.
