  The only tool that SWF dashboards have been designed to work with are Xcelcius. Please keep in mind that only Skire inherited who had created dashboards SFW clients the possibility to use SWF dashboards.

  Once more, accessing the http://benscarrillustration.com/benscarrillustration.swf returns a 404 not found error. The Flash file is not * where your code says it is.

  The browser is looking in the folder root of your remote site for this file. Is that when you see when you look in the remote side of the files Panel?

  I have not heard issues with the Mac except that their leader has problems with Flash, although I have not really well tuned for Mac issues in any case.

  If the files that were sent included the html file, the person who sent you to should be able to view it in safari or another browser has the machine.  If this person is using an iPad or an iPhone, it is out of luck because of her choice of material.

• Warning of safety running a SWF file on a computer when you access the internet

  I want to distribute a SWF file to run on computers, not the internet.  However, I want to be able to access the internet through a link that is controlled by a button.  This used to work, now I get a security warning telling me that I need to change the settings on my computer.  For obvious reasons, I don't want anyone running the SWF to have to do that!

  Under Windows, I can create an EXE file that does not have security WARNING, but on the Mac which won't help.  Any suggestions?

  I am writing a QT application that needs to display a SWF file. I finished and tried to display an example of SWF (a.swf) file downloaded from the internet and the result was OK.

  Now, I started writing my own SWF (b.swf) using ActionScript 3 file and compiled with MXMLC. But b.swf couldn't be displayed in my QT application.

  What is strange, is that both a.swf b.swf could be displayed in IE.

  Could anyone guess what the reason would be, please?  Thanks in advance.

  Problem solved. What happened was that my image was not large enough to be seen in a small window, so it seems as if the image did not load at all.

  I use Dreamweaver CS6, I inserted a SWF file in my index.php located on localhost (XAMPP). When I try to preview my page (on chrome or IE, or Dreamweaver Live), it asks Flash Player 16. I installed it but still ask for it. All solutions?

  Have you tried to load a test page to your Web site? Preview Flash locally is hit or miss.... unless what I remember. If it works on your site using multiple browsers, then I think that you cannot ignore the problem of local insight.

  I'm with Lilybiri on this one.  With all of the slides in the same project is the best way to go.

  When you start a new training project, the height and the width of the stage of project file is one of the main decisions you need to get right.  Then when you capture any simulation content, you must make sure to match the size of the screen exactly so adding slides to capture is just an exercise in copy/paste.

  Captivate SWF inside other Captivate SWF of nesting is a highly questionable practice that Captivate was never designed to support.  It MAY work sometimes, but it can also cause all sorts of issues as well.

  I have a tabular presentation that breaks apart in Firefox, leaving gaps between cells after inserting a SWF file.

  I inserted the file using the Insert > media > SWF in Dreamweaver and downloaded the SCRIPTS folder command.

  When I remove the SWF object, the file is displayed perfectly (with an empty cell, where the SWF object should appear)

  The SWFobject is narrower than the cell that contains 2 pixels (cell: 227w X 146 h;)  SWF 225w X 146 h)

• Can you publish Adobe Presenter output as a single .swf file?

  I would like to have full presenter as a single swf file performance.  This is so I can insert this .swf file in a program called Wimba Create (which accepts .swf files) and then generate modules from leaning on the Blackboard.

  When I publish on my computer, it creates a folder containing several .swf files, so it doesn't work.

  Wimba is not able to accept animated PDF files that could be generated.

  Help would be great!

  The presenter documentation is a bit misleading because it actually creates a swf file named 'viewer.swf' and 'Viewer - lite .swf' and indeed, you can load these files independently swf on a web page, but that he didn't tell you, it's these two swf files to extract data from the rest of the normal production of presenter in them to render the content.  So yes they are swf files, but no, they are not a flat swf file that contains all the content, it is simply a container that loading the data in.  I hope that makes sense.

  What you can try is using one of the solutions open source (free) that convert PDFs into swf files.

  I created a swf file (created using Actionscript 2) in which the user can enter text. The file works fine as a stand-alone swf, but when imported and published from Presenter, the field is more entrable. Help!

  Can you please confirm the version of Adobe Presenter, in which you have imported and post your (created in ActionScript 2) SWF file?

  Since Adobe Presenter 7.0.7 or later only supports ActionScript 3 and which could be the reason why your SWF file does not work as it has been created in ActionScript 2.

• Captivate 6 graphic bug in the SWF file

  I use 6 Captivate and have a problem with the SWF file. There are some glitches in the video. They are a bit like after images of the contents of the previous slide.
