Inspiron 11 3000 - no Wifi?

OK, just got my new Inspiron 11 3000 a few days ago.  Wireless has somehow been disabled.  The button on the keyboard wireless only switches between the on or off airplane Mode.  It does not change the State of Wi - Fi as it says still off regardless of how many times I hit the wireless button.  Very frustrating... Since the quick start and the manual, looks like people touching all that I have.

This comes from a COMPUTER professional who knows his way around the windows device settings, etc.  I have searched updated drivers, uninstalled the device and let windows re - install.  Wanted by the device settings for anything that might look like vaguely, it applies to this...

Also of note... Bluetooth is in the same situation, disabled and no response to the button.  The toggle under laptop settings to turn on Wi - Fi or Bluetooth both is grey.

I have to RMA it?

Oh, I got exactly the same problem after an upgrade of RAM, and I was able to set t:

Follow these steps:

A manual) enter the Inspiron 11 3137 owner - you need "just in case".

FTP://FTP.Dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_inspiron_laptop/Inspiron-11-3137_Owner%27s%20Manual_en-us.PDF

(b) you will need to open the machine.  You will need a Phillips screwdriver, a narrow flat head screwdriver and a plastic card (one of these cards in your local pharmacy chain will do just fine).  Unscrew the 7 screws (3 front, 2 rear, 2 in the Middle under the silver Looking for plastic covers, use the flat head to carefully dig up the sticker first).  Insert the plastic on the edge card back (when the LCD display is connected to the chassis), push inwards and around to release the clips.  Look at page 10 of the manual.

(c) pull the battery from its socket supply cable.  It should be in the middle right of the laptop near the cooling fan.  Look at page 12 of the manual.  Do not pull the battery. Return it, hold down the power button for 6 seconds to the mass of the battery.

battery d) pull the piece (between the RAM slot and the cooling fan) Page 25.

(e) take the card slot MiniPCIe wireless, but let wire antennas attached.  Page 21.

(e) replace the card wireless in the slot, put the screw back in place.  Page 25/26.

(f) reconnect the battery to the socket cable.  Page 13.

(g) reinstall the base cover, clips of pop on, but do not replace the screws in again - just in case it doesn't.

(h) return it back, start the return.  It non-stop beep to quadruple and then tell you that the clock is wrong.  Press F2, enter the BIOS setup, set the clock, save and exit.  The machine should stop beeping.

At this point, wait until it boots into Windows 8 - your wireless card should work now.   Once done, power it down, turn it back over and replace the 7 live on.

  • problems with my recent purchase of Dell Inspiron 15 3000-3543

Re: Inspiron 15 3000 Series, English Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (including Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit license and media)

He had for a few days, the main issues:

    1. really bad wireless connections (to compare to my #2 concern that it's still bearable)

    2. when I'm away from my laptop for maybe 20 minutes or more, it would freeze and no matter what you do, he would not answer. I had to turn it off at length by pressing the power button. My laptop battery is never off on battery screen. (not before so he shouldn't go to sleep, even he fell asleep... it must wake up at some point isn't! = 0 =).

Call dell technical support, they asked me to run a test and discovered material is all ok.

Do you think I should return this? If so, please recommend another model. I need for the daily use of base, I need to buy from the dell website that I have a $250 e-gift card. If any price close to $250 would be great.

    Thank you!!!

    Hello Michel,

I had problems with my Inspiron 3543 when I bought.

After the diagnosis, Dell found the Wifi card and motherboard failure. Given that the laptop was under warranty, Dell has replaced the two mother board and wifi adapter.

Now, I have no problem with this laptop.

Recommend you make a diagnosis and fix the defective hardware

  • Audio input Inspiron 15 3000 can not detect the headset

Audio input Inspiron 15 3000 can not detect the headset, but audio dell can detect something trendy. However, the playback sound device cannot detect any helmet. Now I only get gurgling in the helmet. How to solve this problem?

Hello. To test the headphone switch the native Windows audio driver Realtek audio driver.

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the box of Windows search).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If it is still bubbling even with the native driver, test by using other headphones. If still no luck then probably hardware failure. Contact technical support for warranty repair.

If it works fine with the native driver, then the Realtek driver is buggy. Try a different version of the driver. If you need help with this answer comes back with the full model name (something like "Inspiron 11 3147", etc.) and which operating system there.

  • Stylus for Dell Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1

I recently acquired a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1.  It has a touch screen and I really appreciate using it.  I wanted to start taking handwritten notes on this laptop using a pen to write like a pen.  So far, I only found a stylus with a broad and flexible rubber tip that will respond to the touch screen.  This isn't satisfying to try to write as you would if you use a pen and paper.  Of course, my finger also works well, but is not very accurate as well.  I was hoping someone on these forums could recommend a stylus that is suitable for use with this product that would allow me to write like a pen.

I've tried addressing Dell agents by phone and chat online, and it was suggested to use an active stylus for Dell.  I bought this product and it did not work.  I plan to return this product of course.

Anyone out there have a recommendation for a stylus pen-like that I can use with my Dell Inspiron 3000 2-in-1?  It doesn't matter if it's a Dell or one product other than Dell.

    Thanks in advance.

a regular rubber nub stylus will work on the dell 3000 11. There is no material inside the laptop that will make any active pen works. and for a reason, even the node stylus does not work always, but do most of the time.

  • Inspiron 14 3000 - 3452 HDD

I just got my inspiron 14 3000 - 3452.  It is equipped with 32Gb eMCC.  Before that I bought it, I learned by the Dell Agent's cat that I could change/upgrade the HARD drive in the future if necessary.

When I looked in the background, it does not appear change the MEM (64 GB) or add a HARD drive.

The service manual for the 3452 provides a procedure to replace the HARD drive, but?

Different model 32 GB of mem, perhaps is a subset of the 3452?

I picked it up partly because of the removable battery.  The 500 GB HARD drive model reported having a non replaceable battery.

    Thank you

    Joe

I think that if you check, it has developed a couple of times now, and that systems that are provided with the embedded SSD are not have the connector on the motherboard to hard drive - in other words, the system has the MEM in car, OR a hard workout - there is no way to install both.

  • Dell Inspiron 17r keep losing wifi connection

Hello, I got my inspiron 17r since this Christmas. its obviously still in very good condition because there is not even a year yet. However, after about a month of having my computer I noticed something he did which was very annoying. the wifi connection is lost at random for about 2 minutes and then connects to re. Meanwhile, I can't load pages or anything. When he started to do this, it would occur only about once every 2 hours, but it gradually got worse and worse to the point that I cannot yet access the internet with it more. I start and it has no connection, then connects to the wifi for 5 seconds and then he loses again. Here's the deal, this only happens with my computer on all the computers in my family. I have a very good wifi connection because the connection has said 'good' each time it connects and this problem never happened with my last computer which is a toshiba. I know for a fact that this isn't a problem with my wifi at home because I brought my computer on a trip through the country before and it happened again. I got the help of a dell agent before and he gave me a link update some drivers which I don't remember. This has helped the problem a little bit for maybe a week or two, then it started to do it again. Please help me this is ridiculous, how does this happen considering how new and costly, the computer was

Only solution is to use a usb wireless adapter or run an ethernet cable which defeats being wireless.

Well said, their warranty covers only the hardware so I tell everyone to stay away from a product sold with a well-known problem

  • Dell inspiron n5110 Core i5 wifi is not activated

    Hello

I can't turn on the wifi in my laptop. When I press Fn + F2, a notification icon appear on the screen that allowed wireless, but it does appear that Bluetooth adapter only.

I tried two or three drivers http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/inspiron-15r-n5110/drivers network, but does not work.

I installed the tool Speccy. It says "not turned on wifi.

In my HP laptop (5 years, not a single remedy yet), there is a broadcom driver in Device Manager, but I don't see not everything related to wifi with dell.

There is also a driver, unidentified, called "network controller".

Can someone tell me which is the correct driver?

    I am using Windows 7 32 bit SP1.

I upgraded the BIOS to A11 version and there is no such option to activate the wifi from the BIOS.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

Finally it worked. Many thanks to Saurabh Aresponse in this

    http://www.SevenForums.com/hardware-devices/259947-Dell-Inspiron-n5110-wireless-network-controller-problem.html wire.

My driver is ' Intel Centrino Wireless-N1030' (I didn't) and suitable for Windows 7 32 bit driver is "R311896.exe". And I don't know where I found this driver. But it is not in the list of http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/inspiron-15r-n5110/drivers

    In any case, dell sucks.

Users will need to have a better knowledge of materials, basic Internet, hardware architectures, which is 32-bit?, 32 or 64?... etc to deal with dell.

But HP gives a complete drivers pack when you insert your product and model.

HP provides a unique set of workflow services for a particular model.

If HP ABC XXYY-> unique set of materials

but DELL ABC XXYY-> "we do not know what the exact hardware, it could be one of the following.

    Reference Dell sucks again.

Dell first and the last of the mine.

  • Inspiron 11 3000 series security slot

I bought an Inspiron 11 3147 with what appears to have a security slot no K-Slot. But I was unable to find out what kind of slot is. With the laptop, I bought a Kensington (part number Dell A5883764) security cable. The bar on the cable is too wide to fit into the slot on the laptop. The cable fits well in my other devices with a k-slot. The only explanation I can find is that Dell not only did large enough slot, which is also hard to believe to me.

I opened a case with Dell, but the technical support was not able to find a compatible security cable and advised that I contact Kensington.

Joint is a photo showing the slot and cable.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

Recently, I got my Dell Inspiron 7000 13 and I had the same problem with my combination of Kensington lock.

Search for information in the web, it seems that Dell has changed the location of security for a shorter one (Noble safety Wedge) for some tablets, Ultrabooks (including Dell XPS 12) and the Inspiron 14 7437-7000. There is no information for Dell Inspiron 3000 11 or 13 7000 series, but I can see in some images the size of the slot is the same as the Inspiron 14 7000.

The new crack uses security Noble Wedge (manufacturer: TZ08 |) Dell reference: A6451164) and the link to buy it in the Dell store this special security cable is:

    http://Accessories.Dell.com/SNA/ProductDetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=DHS&CS=19&SKU=A6451164

I'll buy this cable hoping that it fit my Dell 13 7000.

  • Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series WiFi question

I bought an Inspiron 15 7000 series a week ago. Early on, the wifi does not work properly. It takes too much time to connect and also automatically disconnects frequently. Sometimes it shows only limited connectivity. I've updated the drivers but no change so far. All other devices in the House do not work properly. Thanks in advance for your support.

10 days ago, I bought an Inspiron 15 7000 series.  I had similar problems.  WiFi worked when you're sitting next to the router, but it refused to connect at all in low signal strength areas.  In moderate zones (next room or room just below) it works very well for a while but intermittently lose connectivity and although showing that connected would refuse to transfer anything - this necessary apparently the router rebooted to solve.  Since this morning I seem to have fixed things.  It is now usable in any home, linking where it has not before and no abandonment so far in areas of moderate signal strength.  The solution for me was to download the drivers from Intel.  Note that it worked when I first completely deleted existing drivers for wi - fi and bluetooth using Device Manager - I needed to check the box to delete the files, not only remove the drivers.  Then run the downloaded Update resulted in different drivers being installed.  In fact, these seem to be older than those previously installed - version number lower, earlier, fewer config options - which may be why the update did not return to this version until I completely deleted the drivers existing. It worked for me.  Certainly worth a try if you a not entirely remove the existing driver before the update files.  Note that if you do this, you must replenish your router password when you first connect to the wi - fi again.

  • HP Deskjet 3000 (j310a) - Wifi problem

I can't the printer to connect to the wireless network. The main problem is that the router do not have a WPS button. And I find no way to the config to the printer via the USB port.

    Router - Zyxel 2602HW-D1A

    Fixed a problem.

    1. connect to the network own printing via wifi.

2 print a report to get the printers ip

    3. Enter the IP address of the printer in a browser

    4. configure the printer via the print server to make it connect to the right network.

    5. print a new report, to verify that it is connected to the right of the network.

    6. connect to the normal network and search for the printer and install the drivers.

  • Inspiron 14 3000 3452 - 10 windows cannot update

I can't install the upgrade of Windows 10 1511.  Not enough free space.

I can't remove anything, just windows installed. I tried a USB removable drive extra, always without success.

There is no way to do all that updates the MS Windows, why Dell would sell a system with only 32 GB installed?  There is no way to upgrade for the Inspiron with a MEM 32 Gb HDD.

Has anyone been able to finish the upgrade of 1511?

    Thank you

    Joe

I also had the same problem. My solution was to do a fresh install using the tool of media (MCT) of Microsoft. You will need to create the tool on a different PC (this 3452 14 has not enough space) after installation clean I have the latest version (1511) and 15 GB of free space on the MEM.

You can find directions on how to do the clean install on the download page of Microsoft for the tool, but here's a quick rundown.

    Create the USB using MCT

    Insert into 14 3452 Dell

Close completely portable with the inserted key

    Turn on laptop

Press F12 "Boot devices" on the dell loading screen (you may need to click on delete all first to access this option) select USB

Windows will install then. You will need to re - format the disk for installation during this process. Make sure that you save everything you can't replace or synchronize.

Made mine with a connection high speed about 30 minutes to make. And as I said before that I now have more storage that I got out of the box.

  • iNSPIRON 11 3000 SERIES cards MOTHERS

It's maybe a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway.  I love my 3000 3157 victory pentium quad core but I noticed that there is the same machine on the faster i5 and i7.  As you know the cpu is not nested on this motherboard so I wonder if the faster i5 + motherboards keep the same general design so that it can be possible to update the motherboard in this laptop at some point?  Wanting to say at least upgrade to a motherboard with a faster CPU no recessed would be more cost effective than a new machine.  The only thing that really bothers me right now is the lack of good stylus support and a second location minicards for cellular network would also be very desirable.

This isn't a practical upgrade - there is no guarantee that the high-end models are even built by the same manufacturer, and while they do look outwardly, redevelopment of a motherboard of a 7000 series of high-end in a 3000 series is not even possible.  When you pay for a Board/CPU and replace all of the screen (it is the screen which differentiates a true portable tablet that has just a touch screen like the 3000 series), you may spend more than $700 only in parts - and end up with a system of Frankenstein that may or may not work properly.

There are systems of true tablet in the range of 11-13 "- these usually run no more than $1,000 new - just you won't find these features on a $350 for example system, your 3000 series, nor is it practice to upgrade internal parts."
