  Hello!

  I have a problem with my new Tablet Toshiba excited write.
  I disabled the auto brightness, but I see constantly changing the brightness/contrast in any case.
  If I understand correctly this is a technology from Toshiba which is supposed to do.

  You can use the quick settings for frequently used settings.
  Press on & keep the status icons area until a flashing line appears. Then slide down the line to open the quick Control Panel.
  You should see the brightness option. Tap to set the brightness of the screen.

  Also, in the power management settings, you will be able to set up profiles to individual.
  Here, you can set the brightness of the screen too.

• Video contrast/brightness changes during recording

  When to play some Windows Media Center tv records changes in contrast or brightness up to a point where the image is dark to see and the brightness of the tv must be set to the top (it does not help the problem altogether).   1. what kind of failure does the ATI HD 650 TV tuner had recently?

  2. what type of files which is having the issue? It is same on any computer?

  3. it happens with all records of TV?

  I suggest you reinstall the Windows media center and check the difference in TV recordings.

  (a) open the configuration/programs and features Control Panel.

  (b) click on "Turn Windows features on or off" in the left pane.

  (c) Expand "media features", uncheck "Windows Media Center". Click 'Yes' to continue and click OK to exit. Then restart.

  After the restart, return to Windows features windows and check the box for Windows media center, link apply and restart the computer, check whether the is working now.

  Hello Andrea,

  normally, you can change this settigs in the Panel, but to explain the way to change this would be nice to know what operating system you have installed.

  If you have the perinstalled Os, it might be that you have Win2000.

  Win2000:

  Go to the control panel - display - Advanced control and then you could choose between video, color or television.

  The Brightess could be changed to energy-saving, because the brightness depends on your setting of power.
  Battery high brightness mode could reduce your battery power!

  I had intended to publish an article about it for a long time. It's sort of a particular problem, to which I have found no solution so far.

  What is the problem?

  Auto contrast or auto-dim feature in my laptop is a real pain. I want to turn it off, but I can't. It's funny this is, this is not the case in Ubuntu 12.04 (installed in dual boot).

  What is going on?

  When that I'm viewing a Web page in a dark bakground (say a page with a black background and white text) contrast of the screen changes automatically. I can view the dark page correctly, but when I switch to the other tabs or reduce the window, it's a real eye strainer (I already use the card).

  What have you tried?

  1. Well, for starters I tried meddleing with Catalyst Control Centerand have not been able to find the appropriate option.
  2. I also tried to disable the Aero theme, but when I right click on my desktop, this is what I see.
  3. That's why I changed the Standard Windows 7 Windows 7 Basic color scheme of Windows color and appearance. Yet, no luck

  You're right, certainly a strange issue with the pages of gradation. This goes to an energy saving setting. Here is a link to a site third-party site that will show you with screen shots, how to change the power settings to prevent the screen from dimming.

• Helix screen brightness changes randomly

  As well as the other problemsmentioned screen with the stylus by others, I also have random screen brightness changes that intervene if I use the computer or not. I hope that solutions will be coming.

  I think I know what it is and how to fix it. You must enter in the power of your plan Options. Search for "Change advanced power settings" and click on that. Display is near the bottom of the list. Click on that and look for 'enable adaptive brightness '. That set Off and your problem is solved.

  I doubt that it is a Windows 7 problem.  It is probably a hardware problem.  I suggest that you contact HP support.

  I use a Lenovo ThinkPad T61 6466-5WG, running XP Pro. Bought directly from Lenovo mid-2007, if the warranty is out.

  Recently, in the last days, I noticed a problem with my screen. It will change brightness at random, as if I unplug the power supply and reconnect. No other indicators show a change in my diet, so after searching on Google, I'm starting to think it could be the backlight. In addition, in the last hour, that the lower left side of my screen is discolored, like a pale pink spot. He has not damaged pixel, pixels below any change and seem to function normally, it is more like a spot on the top of my screen and seems to remain stable when brightness changes. Screen refresh rate is set to 60 Hertz, with the checkmark in the box "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" (I assume that these are standard settings because I have never tinkered with it). Oh, and I started also recently getting random BSOD, for the first time since I got the laptop. I don't know if it's related but I thought I would mention it.

  Everyone has something similar happens? Could it be the backlight, power supply or something else? My husband is pretty decent with repairs of laptop, so if it is repairable, it must be able to do once we know what the problem is exactly. Or else I'll paste in a repair shop. I know he hits a bit, but it's still a decent laptop and widely, I'd rather get it fixed if possible.

  I just opened my first jpg in Photoshop CS5 and tried to use 'Image-> auto contrast', but all the Auto (tone, contrast, color) are greyed out. Image-> Mode is set to "RGB color".   I just got my second inspiron 14z N411Z. One was sent back because of some loose rattling around inside the case and because the light would change randomly. Although my new replacement doesn't have any spare parts, it has the same problem of brightness. While some sites Web, the brightness will automatically change slightly. If it's not a huge change in brightness as using the actual brightness controls, just to be annoying.  This adjustment is not random, as happens only on some websites or parts of some Web pages. If I'm on weather.com and scroll to the middle of the page, the screen will noticeably dim itself three notches. If I scroll up, however, he goes back to its original luster. It's almost as if there is a setting of the auto brightness depending on what you are viewing.  It is a normal characteristic of these monitors, or received another lemon?   It's an Intel graphics framework that should be modified for maximum performance. You can find this setting by going to control panel, power options, change the parameters of plan, advanced to change power settings, graphics settings intel. Change the power for maximum performance plan, and this should solve your problem.

• Export contrast brightness bright wrong eye

  I use lightroom cc and have a problem when I export to jpg.  The exported image looks the same as the picture seen in Lightroom as a nef file saving from Photoshop.  If I open the nef file in Photoshop cc 2015, make no changes, and save it as a JPG file the resulting image looks the same as the image in Photoshop and Lightroom.  For consistency, I recorded two jpgs in AdobeRGB (1998), but had the same results with sRGB.  I downloaded Lightroom and reinstalled and tried different color profiles, but not luck.

  This is the file NAVE as displayed in Lightroom.

  

  The JPG exported from Lightroom looks quite different. There is more contrast, different saturation, and it seems that the vived has been amplified.

  Indeed, make sure you that you calibrate your monitor, it's one thing to do. Then go to develop and check if there are parameters of development applied to images reimported. Everything must be cancelled and the tone curves need to be completely linear. If this is not the case, press reset and see what happens. If you notice that some settings have been changed, there is a "Preset" applied to importation or camera default applied. Check again that the auto tone is not set and the default values have been reset and that in your import Panel there is no selected preset. Finally, there is a setting that can trigger a bug when reimporting files that have their origin in Lightroom. It happen constantly, but check if in your catalog settings, in the metadata Panel setting "Include settings to develop in the metadata in JPEG, TIFF, PNG and PSD files" is unchecked. It can lead to Lightroom settings doubles applied if you re-import the file. It would be only be something to check if find you that a lot of develop settings have been applied to your image.
