I am facing a problem in which the screen automatically adjusts the contrast/brightness... it (the entire screen display) gets dim when some content of dark color on the screen and becomes clearer when the light content of color on the screen... It's so BORING and affect my eyes... I use Dell Inspiron 1525 for 5 years and now I bought a inspiron 14 who has this problem.   After getting my mind messed up with DELL technical support which even not know understand what makes the question/feature it was, I found myself a solution for me none of the steps on the internet worked for me...

  This auto brightness adjustment problem is caused by the Intelligent Dell display ' located in your battery management window if it is not there the following steps...

  Restart your system

  The Dell Logo appears, press F2.

  Goto Startup tab

  Select Secure Boot and disable it and save and exit.

  Press F12, while the Dell logo is displayed

  Check all the options if Secure Boot is disabled, it must be turned off. If this is not the case, switch to the off position. Save and exit.

  Restart your system-> goto Office

  Right-click on the icon of your battery and open the battery management window (where appears battery online order... This window) (not the power of the plans, not quick setting window, not the windows Mobility Center)

  Go to the first tab in this window

  You will see an option that display Intelligent Dell now appears.

  Disable this annoyingly useless hidden and check...

  Hello Andrea,

  normally, you can change this settigs in the Panel, but to explain the way to change this would be nice to know what operating system you have installed.

  If you have the perinstalled Os, it might be that you have Win2000.

  Win2000:

  Go to the control panel - display - Advanced control and then you could choose between video, color or television.

  The Brightess could be changed to energy-saving, because the brightness depends on your setting of power.
  Battery high brightness mode could reduce your battery power!

  You can use the quick settings for frequently used settings.
  Press on & keep the status icons area until a flashing line appears. Then slide down the line to open the quick Control Panel.
  You should see the brightness option. Tap to set the brightness of the screen.

  Also, in the power management settings, you will be able to set up profiles to individual.
  Here, you can set the brightness of the screen too.

• Video contrast/brightness changes during recording

  When to play some Windows Media Center tv records changes in contrast or brightness up to a point where the image is dark to see and the brightness of the tv must be set to the top (it does not help the problem altogether).   1. what kind of failure does the ATI HD 650 TV tuner had recently?

  2. what type of files which is having the issue? It is same on any computer?

  3. it happens with all records of TV?

  I suggest you reinstall the Windows media center and check the difference in TV recordings.

  (a) open the configuration/programs and features Control Panel.

  (b) click on "Turn Windows features on or off" in the left pane.

  (c) Expand "media features", uncheck "Windows Media Center". Click 'Yes' to continue and click OK to exit. Then restart.

  After the restart, return to Windows features windows and check the box for Windows media center, link apply and restart the computer, check whether the is working now.

  Just bought a 40 d opportunity. I shoot in Raw. Set the Style of photo on Neural, no added sharpening, contrast, or Sam, all set to zero. But when I open the image in LR3.6, he applied to Med contrast and brightness is at + 50, + 25 contrast. On my 5 d, all images are zero. Why my 40 d automatically apply these settings?

  Ok thank you. I thought about her earlier. You just zero, by the way. No tone curve, zero against, zero Sam, no reduction in noise etc. THEN, (with LR3.6), you go to your main toolbar at the top of LR, click on develop, and then set the default settings and then your done.   I don't know why you are puzzled, it of an all in one, just like a laptop and works just like a laptop in terms of these functions. It is NOT a monitor with the possibility to be connected to a variety of different sources.

  If it is not common, if you went the advanced settings for the display, you will also gain adjustments more and you can really bumble in there if you try.

• Pe11: Audio VERY loud or distorted after export

  Please excuse my bad English. I hope you understand everything.

  Since a few days I use Adobe Premiere elements 11. Still works great, despite the audio after the export of a video.

  before PE11, I edited the same audio in windows movie maker, and I never had problems like that.

  I was playing with gradients and finally came up with something that I wanted to try on my site. I'm taking a tinge of yellow (#CC9933), then adjust the colors with a filter of brightness/contrast (brightness - contrast - 8, 81). But when I try to export a slice of the image, or simply copy it to another file of fireworks for export, I get the yellow gradient original, bright, not the darker gradient with the brightness/contrast settings adjusted.   I made jpeg and png 24 export part in slices of the darker gradient - they match.  The gradient lighter yellow associated better when exported as a png 24 rather than a jpeg file.

  Tested by filing the exported in the original PNG file.
