  I got a laptop Inspiron for a few years now and recently had to make a new hard drive in it so had all the Softwear Windows re-installed by a professional etc. The built-in Bluetooth does not work however. I discovered that I need to install the driver and found the following on the Dell site. Will it be OK to install it on an Inspiron is probably 7 years.

  The laptop supports Wlan Atheros / module combo BT.
  This means that a single module shares WiFi and BT connectivity.

  Using Win 7 you must add the additional drivers called filter for driver Atheros BT package.
  So first the Atheros WLan driver must be installed, secondly Atheros BT filter after battery Toshiba BT.
